Was seeing a lot of TikTok videos of Jersey Mikes sandwiches son of course it caused a craving for them. Ordered online which was easy. Although still think they need some more variety in their selections. Did see some of the wall sizes though. Round small, regular 7-8 inches, giant was 13-14 inches, liked that they had wraps too. But disappointed in the regular and giant sizes as I kind of wanted a size in between. I think when I ordered last year there were more foot long styles but can't be sure. Ordered the giant size but only was able to eat half, saved the rest for later. As far as the selections - would want them to have more regular styled deli meat offerings. Basically, I agree with another poster - the Customer Service in charge of dealing with complaints was not helpful. In this case, Robert C. Ordered a Chipotle Turkey Bowl to go. And realized once home there was no Chipotle Mayo. Which is /not/ what I ordered. I didn't order a Turkey Provolone. I ordered a Chipotle Turkey. That same evening I reached out and let them know that my order was not accurately made. The following morning I was emailed saying he would pass the info to the manager for future reference. Okay? This location was one of the most awkward experiences I've had. The people working seemed very out of it, or perhaps just unsure of how to act towards customers. I can say that I did not feel comfortable staying in there too long because I felt weird The place itself seemed decently clean, though small. It was very overpriced in my opinion. I paid $10 for a bag of chips and pretty much a 6" sub that I could've gotten at subway. The only thing on my sub was ham, cheese, and mayo. Maybe because it was gluten free bread? I almost stopped to ask her why it cost that much but because of their awkwardness I let it go. The sub that I ordered was not good, definitely not worth the price. The location is also somewhat inconvenient if you're not shopping in this plaza. I do not recommend this place, I would say save your money and go to subway and get a meal for $7. Stopped in for lunch on a Friday. Jersey Mike's was busy. Lots of business men/ladies, construction workers, etc. The best thing about subs here vs. Subway is the meat is cut FRESH!!! If you order a grinder they cook the meat and cut the meat and cheese then- not prepackaged and sent in plastic baggies. I have worked at Subway when I was in college 25 years ago...they used to slice the deli meat to order but no more and the flavor is lost. The bread texture is very good too. I order it Mike's Way and and some spicy peppers and delicious. I had the Super sub they call it- think it was a number 5. It was full of meat and delicious. I got the medium which was filling. I could have gotten the mini and been good to go. Onions are sliced nice and thin- vegetables were fresh for the fixings. These two people working today, as we sit and eat our delicious cheesesteak subs, are AMAZING!.... so professional and personable and polite and super hard working! I like that they slice the meat to order. Its a nice touch and I am sure adds to the freshness. I had the chicken philly. The others with me had the Italian and one had the chicken teriyaki. We order from Jersey Mike's pretty regularly and the food is great! But don't do an online order from this location (Waterford) and expect it to be ready on time. It's consistently 15-20 minutes after it is supposed to be ready. I really wish they would look into this but it has been this way for the last few months. We kept hearing the radio advertisements so decided to check it out while in the area. My husband ordered his steak and cheese that he would normally get from Subway and I ordered my veggie of course what I would have gotten from Subway. The ordering process was a tad confusing having never been there before and no one really offered to explain how it works (I understand they know when someone should tell you what they want on a hot sub but being a first timer I did not). My husband's steak was made to order on a flat top grill fairly quickly which is a huge step up from Subways microwaved steak sandwich. I assumed it would be put on the line to dress like all the others, my mistake. I told them he had wanted the fixings on it and looking a little irritated it needed to be passed back to the grill cook because they need to do it not the front line where the other sandwiches were getting dressed. Sandwich was fixed, crisis averted. Onto mine... being a picky vegetarian I was pleased with the cleanliness and freshness of the veggies. Both sandwiches were put on fresh bread that we both preferred over Subways. They loaded mine with my 2 favorite cheeses (swiss and provalone) in very generous amounts. The lady dressing the subs on the front line seemed very hell bent on doing things her way so I went with it and it was fine I guess. Subs tasted great. Not as many options to top with but that kept the line moving and probably a good idea with the way they cut their bread because everything would just fall out anyways. We cleared our plates and were pleasantly full. If there were a location close to my house I would have to say yes I would pick this place over Subway. Given all the employees on at the time in case they got slammed (still in their honeymoon stage) I would have had one of them cleaning the dining room because 4 or 5 people in the back to the side were just chatting and 4 tables or so were sat while all the others were dirty and napkins were on the floor. In the Groton Ct shop the music was too loud. Being there for the first time it was very hard to ask questions and hear answers and you were expected to know their jargon. No menus to take home and no receipt. The sub was tasty but not that big. More like a 8 inch Subway instead of 6. Staff worked hard and was busy. To compare apples to apples for example the staff and menu board at 5 guys was more helpful, answered questions and the menu board was easier to read. The subs were really, honestly very good. But I walked in there with one other person, and all the employees were hanging out at the tables on the other side of the counters with their friend who works at the Best Buy across the parking lot. No music was playing and the girl who took our order (after getting back behind the counter...) spoke so softly I literally had to have her repeat everything she said.
