Stopped here today to get some sandwiches quickly before heading to the shore for the afternoon. It was tiny, tucked in the back - sandwiches were good, with a good amount of meat and freshly made bread. I ended up getting a salad which was great, but hard to eat with only my fingers because they didn't give me any utensils so that took away from the experience. I was traveling through Connecticut and I was hungry and I found Bun on the run. I like the name so I stopped by. I was so taken back by Ally as she knew every customer's name that was coming in. She was so Warm and friendly. And even made me feel important. As I waited for my sandwich, I saw a constant flow of people coming in and out getting the sandwiches and seeing this great customer service. When it was my turn and she called me and thanked me I took my sandwich and I thanked her. I went to my car and I had the most amazing prosciutto Panini EVER. GROWING UP IN NEW JERSEY IN THE MADELINE'S AREA WE HAD THE BENEFIT OF SUCH GREAT FOOD. I COULDN'T BELIEVE HOW AMAZING THE SANDWICH WAS. I WALKED BACK INTO THE STORE AND THANKED THEM. We got the spicy Italian panini. Large , Excellent and reasonable price. Sweet welcoming staff, fast efficient service. Don't be discouraged by the amount of people waiting for their order. A little breakfast and lunch takeout restaurant that is kind of hidden. They are my go-to for breakfast on my way to work! Both breakfast and lunch is excellent. My favorite breakfast is the Sausage, Mushroom, Egg and Swiss sandwich! All of the Bun choices are delicious! Their lunch specials are also amazing. If you are in a hurry - call ahead. They are almost always busy! But definitely worth the wait! read more

I went there for the first time today. It was excellent! The people working were really nice... They asked me if it was my first time and thanked me for coming. Delicious sandwiches from Bun on the Run. Spinach artichoke panini was on a tasty Rosemary focaccia. The chicken was well seasoned and not dry, artichoke spread was great. Popped in for lunch while on vacation in the area & enjoyed it so much we had to return for breakfast the next day! For lunch we had two sandwich specials - a grilled pesto chicken on focaccia & a turkey bacon blue cheese combination - both were delicious made to order with high quality fresh ingredients. For breakfast we had a bacon egg & cheese sandwich and the breakfast burrito - again fantastic, generous sized portions at very reasonable prices. The grinders that they sling in this tiny, unassuming, out of the way lunch joint are absolutely out of this world. I had the pleasure of having a chicken grinder the other day and every single bite was a crispy, crunchy extravaganza. The chicken tortilla soup is also spot-on. The "cup" size is huge! It's more like 2 cups. The staff/owners are incredibly friendly, and service was prompt. They are always playing great tunes, and it is a pleasure to go in and visit. It is worth noting that there is nowhere to sit. This is strictly a take-out only restaurant. I was a little disappointed at this when I first visited, but I guess the name "Bun on the Run" really should have been a clue! Was up from NYC visiting family, and my brother recommended this place. I would never have found it on my own, as it is tucked into a one story building perpendicular to the main road. But now that I know where to find them I will be back! Tiny but mighty sandwich place with homey breads, fresh ingredients, soups and lots of other yummy things I haven't tried yet. Sandwich inventions are always a nice idea but often end up being on the greasy side (but when you are in the mood for a meaty cheesy meaty Sammie, it's a flavor step up from Subway) I find the bread to be a little lazy, a better bread would have made me a regular customer.
