What an udder disappointment. Visited on 9/23 around 10:00pm. (I usually visit the store near jewel and wadsworth.) I had just finished working nearby, it was a cold and rainy evening. I ordered a bacon double stack biggie bag, size large. The fries were over salted, only slightly warm, and a little soggy. The chicken nuggets were also soft and tepid. The service was friendly and fast, and the drink (no ice) and sandwich were on par with my expectations- but I would've gladly waited for hot fresh fries and nuggets. I will not return to this location- and if/when I do return to the jewel location I will ALWAYS request hot, fresh fries and nuggets. I have been coming here since it first opened. I know that, because I remember when it was just a field. Here's a picture of my receipt from today. Why is it soaking wet? Good question, that's a story! I went through the Wendy's drive-through today, and ordered a meal with a medium Coke. Past the drive-through, I took a sip of my drink. It was Dr Pepper. So I went back inside with my receipt to exchange it for a Coke. No big deal. The guy with an eyepatch at the front counter said, "There's the machine, dump it out and fill it with whatever you want." So I went to the machine, and dumped my drink. I tried to fill it with Coca-Cola, but the nozzle popped off into the cup and sprayed me pretty good. I was sopping wet. Two workers ran out and said, "We will fix that." I didn't expect much, just a "sorry about that," and maybe a "here is a towel to dry off with." Instead the two workers just rushed past me to fix the machine. I asked the guy with an eyepatch at the front counter if he could just get me a Coke. He did, he filled it up at the drive-through station. He upgraded me from a medium to a large. But when he came back with the drink, there were customers at his register. I had just enough time to spit out "thank..." and he was out of earshot. Not sure I've ever felt so invisible. They will literally give you the dirtiest look when you pull up to the second window for no reason, and then throw your food at you so fast that you won't even know what hit you. I continue to go here because I like Wendy's and enjoy torturing myself apparently, but they are by far the worst Wendy's around town. They will probably get your order wrong 9 times out of ten, and the people here will give you the biggest attitude you've ever seen, so I advise you to watch out, lol. read more

I stopped by for lunch as I always do while at work and got a $5 Biggie Bag with a large drink. I didn't want to upgrade my fries, which normally doesn't happen, but they upgraded my fries to a large without my permission. To top it off, the fries had no salt on them, or if they did it wasn't much. The burger that comes with it had undercooked bacon and too much sauce to the point where it was sloppy. Wouldn't ordinarily review a Wendy's. Wendy's is Wendy's in terms of the food - predictable and pretty much the same from store to store. However, this store has a multitude of problems unrelated to the food: 1. very busy location at Denver West, across from Colorado Mills, near the confluence of 6th Avenue, I-70 and C-470 2. dreadful parking 3. consistently awful service that is even more dreadful than the parking. To be fair, I've seen some competent workers, but they are always woefully understaffed. On our last visit (and it will be our last visit at this store), one very competent young woman was trying to take orders, fill orders, fill the frosty machine and make French fries all by herself 4. abysmal management - how else to explain the consistent understaffing and predictably awful service Beware, Yelpers, not of Wendy's but of this particular store. Food is good. Horrible customer service. Rude and did not great me. I ordered a meal and did not receive my french fries. I called and the person whom I spoke to on the phone did not apologize for their mistake. She simply told me to come get them. Fast, friendly and clean. We usually go through the drive thru but on the occasion that we do go inside, the dining area seems well kept.
