Been a while since dining-in at a Wendy's. Continues to be one of the best values in fast food, being able to get a full meal for two for under $15. Downtown Bellevue has an interesting set-up, with no McDonald's, Burger King, or Taco Bell within walking distance...there is a Wendy's though, so my wife and I decided to take a stroll to pick up a late lunch/early dinner. Ordered through the app. Even though I hadn't used it for a couple of years, it still offered some good deals, including a Dave's Single for $1 with other purchase, which is what I took advantage of. The app also allows you to customize by asking for eXTra toppings, which is what I did (pickle, onion, tomato, lettuce) for no charge. They use whole romaine lettuce instead of iceburg, which I hadn't noticed before. A Jr Vanilla Frosty ($1.79) was our dessert: quite small but creamy and delicious. I always get a small chili ($3.19) when at Wendys'...the large is only $1 more, but I've found the small is a better deal. The chili wasn't great this time, though: very runny with little flavor. My wife got a biggie bag (junior bacon cheeseburger, junior fries, small drink, and 4 piece nuggets (upgraded to spicy buffalo for extra dollar). They give you a ton of warm sauce topped on the 4 nuggets...need to eat it fast. A better deal is to get the normal nuggets and get the buffalo dipping sauce. They have a Coke free style machine, so can go wild with flavors with your drink. The restaurant was pretty clean, with a lot of sunny seating. The workers were rude: nobody was manning any of the walk-up lines, and multiple folks continuously ignored me as they walked past even though I made eye contact and gave a 'need help' nod while standing in the mobile pickup area. A simple 'Someone will be with you...' would have made a big difference. read more

This Wendy's in Bellevue is super convenient if you're on the go, especially during a work break or evening commute. The drive-thru is typically fast, and I appreciated the courtesy of the staff, especially the server at the window who quietly waited while I was on a call (which, honestly, I shouldn't have taken). That kind of patience isn't expected but definitely noticed. Unfortunately, the food today was just so-so as the fries weren't fresh and the burger felt like it had been sitting out a bit. Also, the drive-thru can only be accessed from the westbound side of NE 20th, so it's annoying if you miss the entrance. Still, decent if you're in the area and convenience is the priority. When do you spell such a special eclectic menu and the service here is really good. Everybody is super friendly and they will teach you how to order through the app... My favorite thing of course is the soda machine lol you can get all sorts of different flavors you could only dream of years ago, but I really have to admit when I have that craving and I don't wanna gain too much weight. I have to have the junior cheeseburger my close friends ordered the chicken nuggets and fries, but then she also had to have. The bacon, Nader fries... Wow, That was a complete mess of an experience, My wife and I came in at 12:00am on 10/16 and the experience was definitely one of the worst I've had. I ordered the new krabby patty meal for my wife and I, I got a double with bacon, when we ordered the guy taking our order was very rude and very curt as if me ordering from him was an inconvenience, When we got the food we had the same standard reaction as everyone else wow what a complete letdown. But that's not this location's fault that's branding and marketing. What is this location's fault is that they left off the extra patty and when I asked him about it, he rolled his eyes and brought me out a patty in a potato box container. Terrible service. I come here every once in a while and more times than not has my order been wrong in some way. I usually mention nothing about it and just deal with whatever it is but this time I got the complete wrong sandwich so I called. First they denied they got the order wrong, then leave the phone without asking me to wait multiple times, tell me they'd refund me when all I wanted was to know what they gave me because I had driven all the way home already, and proceeded to hang up on me mid sentence. I had a very terrible and quite discriminative experience with the lady in drive through. Her picture is attached. Before placing order I called the store no one answered. Then, I checked the website it said open for carryout at the pickup counter see pic attached (didn't say that anywhere to pick up at drive through). So, I placed the order and went to this store by walking because I live next door. I went inside and a nice gentleman said that the lobby closed and said I can pick up my order from drive through window. I said I don't bring or have a car on me. He said it will be fine. I went there and spoke to the lady in the pic with window closed. I spoke very calmly, respectful and friendly to her. No car at all as well in drive through. However, her voice was super rude and disrespectful. Me: I have an online order and the gentleman said I can pick it up here Her: No you have to drive a car to do that Me: I don't have a car now Her: Use uber then Me: Really? The guy inside I can pick up here Her: No Me: I already paid Her: Call your bank then ask for your money Me: What is your name Her: I don't want give it to you because you will remember me Me: Thats fine. Is there any manager? She didn't answer and ignoring me. They are all talking not in English as well when the whole time I was there. She failed to realize that I understand what she is talking about in her language. I took picture and video of her. She was aware of it and didn't say anything or said no when I asked I wanted to take pic and video of her which mean she allow me to do it on her consent. I then left smile and said good night to her. I was blowing out by her rude attitude and response. I would be fine if she has better attitude especially when I was respectful and calm. There is no reason to treat me so rudely like the way she did. Look at the pic attached in the wendy's email saying: "just ask our friendly member". Is that definition of friendly? We are all human being and I'm sure she will not like it when others treat her like the way she did. There are lots of case out there about refusing to serve walking customers when the lobby is closed but the restaurant is still serving others with automobiles or motorcycles that is frankly discriminatory. I have been to this location a few times and generally have a good experience. Line of drive thru moves pretty steadily. Tonight I pull up at 1230 and they say they are closed. I understand if I was 5 minutes away from closing but 30 minutes? I did see an order from a semi being delivered. Maybe the staff is lazy and didn't want to deal with drive thru during the unloading. In advance, I apologize for the long rant. I walked up to the drive thru window and wanted to place an order for two burgers and fries--asked if it was okay to order at the window, and the lady at the drive thru window told me I need a vehicle to buy food. The restaurant itself isn't open/available to the public, and I just wanted to get somethin to eat. I decided to order through the mobile app to see if that would make a difference, and after placing my order, LITERALLY a minute after being denied--a customer WALKED UP to the drive thru window and she took his order. Saw her accept his cash, take his order, then give him his food and drinks! I waited patiently for the gentleman to finish gathering his items and leave. After he walked off, I stepped up to the window and showed my phone to her so she could see that I had a mobile order, and she tried to wave me off telling me once again that I need a vehicle to purchase food. I questioned her on how she was gonna take the previous customer's order, but not mine--even after placing it through the app itself? Did I get my food? Yes--after waiting for two other customers who ordered after me, who got served before I could even get my food. And while I recognize why dine in is closed, either due to it being late, problems with crazy customers or the fact that COVID is still a thing. One thing I won't understand is rude, terrible and discriminative customer service. Some people don't have or can't afford a vehicle whether it's due to the times or circumstance outside of said times, and to be denied because someone doesn't have certain assets, then go and pick and choose who to serve and not serve is ridiculous and insulting to people who wanna spend money. This branch needs to do better at hiring considerate staff, change it's practices or shut down--(especially after reading some of the reviews). And if I had known that I wasn't the only person who dealt with the same poor and selective customer service I went through, I would've never ordered food from the particular location. This Wendy's is located at a hot spot near Bellevue Square Mall and at least three high-end hotels. I'm here for a corporate gig, and since my work vehicle is back at the job site, I hoofed it two blocks to get a burger at 7:15pm on a Wednesday evening. I passed up the open, high-end restaurants because, 1, I'm not rich, and 2, I'm alone. Who wants to sit and have a $50 meal solo during the height of coronavirus? Last time I did this corporate job I stayed at a different hotel and hoofed it across the street to a Jack-in-the-Box. After being shooed out of the dining room (only opened for a fellow worker), I was told I could order at the drive through, on foot. So I did; it was awkward but I got a burger. Not here. Apparently the dining room is closed a 7! Not that I wanted to eat in there, I wanted to order at the counter and take it to go. Nobody would look at me or let me in. The signage was small and I didn't see that they closed their lobby. Still, my JITB experience led me to believe that maybe I could order at the window. I walked up to the drive-thru window, and the guy completely ignored me. Completely. Spent his time filling sauce packets. I waited patiently. He finally started to talk to me. But the window was closed and he had a mask on. I couldn't hear what he was saying. It was clear his actions were saying "just go away" but that's a despicable way to treat a customer. Finally, he walked away, and a perturbed short fat woman comes to the window. She starts gesticulating wildly but I can't hear her either through the window and mask. This goes on for a minute. Meanwhile cars are backing up in the drive through. I'm pleading with her to open the window so I can hear her, but she won't. Finally I OPEN the window. This is escalation, I'm sure, but ignore and ignorance are similar words, aren't they? She asks why I did that. Clearly pissed, she's having none of me no matter how much i try to explain my circumstance. I get the gist that the lobby was closed at 7, so the other people they let in must have been family members. She offers no resolution and is anxious to get me to leave (I have a suggestion: let me order). I relent and go back to the lobby entrance and knock, hoping she will take a moment to talk to me. No way. Pretty soon police show up and ask me to sit on a bench outside. They get her story, and then come talk to me. No problem officer, he understands my predicament, says I should call corporate, which is what I was looking up when they arrived. They left, I called corporate, made my complaint, and was told that a district manager would call me in the morning. I'm not hiding. As a pedestrian, for the first time in my life I feel what it's like to be discriminated against. Any other day I can drive my car through here and get food, but no car = no service (second class citizen). Discrimination, plain and simple. I know we are all dealing with this coronavirus in wildly different ways, but we have to work together. In my business I bend over backwards for my customers, and frequently have to come up with on-the-spot, outside-the-box thinking. Could we all have the same rules? Could we have less rules? Can we treat people as individuals, not as just another number in line? Can truck drivers get a break? (You don't see them going through a drive-thru.) read more

If you want to lose your faith in humanity go to wendys they will make sure you have no dignity after you leave. Wendy's is one of the most affordable "restaurants" in downtown bellevue and me and my friend walked a mile to get food at 11 pm while they were still open and found that the dining area was closed. We knocked at the door and the workers just stared at us like we were crazy. So after walking over a mile and being hungry we got into the drive thru lane which I know is a little silly but nobody would answer us. We went to the speaker machine where we proceeded to ask again "can we order food?" and over the speaker nobody answered but for the previous customer (in a vehicle) they did. We heard someone yelling from the front of the line so we walked up to see what was happening and we saw a worker yelling at us but couldn't understand what they were saying. We walked to the window and the worker closed the window and yelled through the window saying "we don't take walk ups". This all would have been fine had you said that when we called to ask if you would take us prior to walking a mile and putting it on your website. Or maybe just saying it in the speaker machine so you don't have to yell through the window. My friend and I are 16 and women so we are not scary looking and there was no reason to treat us like we were crackheads. Me and my friend are also slightly deaf so trying to understand what the guy was saying while yelling at the front of the line and through the window and then proceeding to just stare at us like we were crazy is just unnecessary. read more

My wife and I went to collect our order at 6:55p and as we tried to enter the restaurant, the manager slammed the door in our faces and said that the restaurant was closed, even though it is advertised that they were closing at 7:00p. I tried to explain that we had a carry out order, but she said that we would have to walk through the drive-through and then turned her back on us. This is the worst customer experience that I have ever received and I will never attempt to purchase anything from Wendy's ever again.
