My previous review was based on drive-thru service, but I have now walked in and received service inside. The restaurant was very busy with the drive-thru; the dining room was empty. I had to wait a short bit to be acknowledged at the counter. However, when I was, the employee at the register was very pleasant. Wendy's makes everything fresh, so I did have to wait a bit for my bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit, but there was a problem. My order was rung up wrong. When she handed it to me, she said, "Here's your sausage biscuit, right?" Um, no. This is the good part though--she didn't give me "that" look, silently accusing me of ordering wrong. She gave me a genuine apology, corrected it with the kitchen, and let me know it would be ready shortly. My bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit was delicious! The biscuit was soft and buttery. The bacon was cooked well, and the cheese came melted. The egg was bigger than the biscuit too! Definitely 10/10! The store has the fabulous, fancy drink machine--tons of types to choose with multiple modification choices. There are also different types of seating options inside. There are two comfy chairs in the back of the dining room. There is a countertop with some high-top chairs. There are regular tables and chairs. There are booths with chairs and benches. There are booths with only benches. There is also a corner booth that will accommodate a large party. Overall, dining inside was a great experience. read more

Clean restaurant. Food was fast and hot. Fries were obviously fried in fresh oil. They were dry and didn't have salt though. Maybe they were old in the freezer or something. Idk. They were not good. Slow service. They have two Coca-Cola Freestyle machines. One is consistently broken. One or both are usually out of ice. Today's experience was that one machine was completely out of service and the other machine had virtually no drinks and no diet drinks at all. I hadn't been here in awhile because the customer service was terrible, but I have enough evidence to not return: I went through the drive-thru and placed an order. The young man repeated my order back to me, but said that they'd messed up my order when I got to the window. He said that was the only one, so I accepted the incorrect item. I got my food and there was something else wrong. It was fixed, then I realized that he didn't give me back my debit card. His reply was, "oh, my bad." I didn't get a receipt either. There are some good folks at the counter, but waiting 15 minutes for fast food -- even after the lunch rush -- is not do-able. So here are some suggestions that corporate may find useful (I know you read Yelp reviews -- if you don't, then start!): 1. Move the drink station from the line to the condiment bar. (This will save your cashiers a minute each having to scoop ice, fill up cups, wait for the fizz to go down, and then top them off. It will also eliminate the awkwardness of customers asking for a refill. At 20 cents per fill it's a minimal expense to allow the customers to refill their own cups.) 2. With the extra counter space put in an extra cash register and move them all over to make room for a place to wait on orders to come up. 3. Expand the condiment bar by removing two of the FOUR trash cans. (This will also save time and the cost of trash bags, as well as make room for the drink station.) 4. Get rid of the cattle pens. Opened up my sandwiches and one was missing the tomato and lettuce, verified that there was the extra pickles on both as I ordered and heard them talking about loudly. I was in the drive thru window at 1418 E. Anderson LN Austin TX at 3 PM today, ordering a .50 cent frosty. The man who took my order asked what I wanted and then said can you wait a minute before ordering and I did. Then I asked if I could order a chocolate frosty, the man said "DAMN!" When I pulled up to the window I saw the man who I ordered the frosty from named Jaylin. I said Jaylin, I never had anyone at Wendy's curse at me before. Is that how you talk to customers now? I ate here frequently when I worked in the area. It was always really busy at lunch time but they were good about getting people through the line quickly. The food was pretty good for fast food, and the staff was generally friendly. I often did the online reviews they hand out on the receipts and gave them good points.
