Came across this little pizza place with the friendliest people. Not a lot of seating so I would call ahead if you were bringing the family, I was in midweek and they were busy. Great atmosphere for a small place indoor, outdoor, and bar seating. Pizza menu is fun just to read through with pizza puffs named Dude looks like a Elote, Michael McDonald, and Burrata be kidding me, just to name a few. The pizza was served quickly and the crust coming out of that brick oven looked and tasted delicious. It was a puffy soft, chewy, and oven baked crust. The rest of the pie was good as well. During my dinner the White Sox were playing the Yankees, and the Cubs were playing the Mets with playoffs just a week away and 3 of those teams could be in it. It would have been nice to see one of those games on the TV behind the bar instead of the Smithsonian channel. My server Elly was outstanding, along with someone who seemed to be the Manager or Owner checking in with all the diners a number of times while I was there. Great Pizza place for Eureka! Love the gourmet menu, incredible pizza oven fired and baked to perfection. The Beet Salad and other Salads and appetizers are delicious. I can't get enough of the PUFF! My husband and I heard about this spot and are from out of town. Being a pair of pizzaiolas ourselves we love a good pizza spot and it did not disappoint! - This spot has a cute cozy industrial flair. A hidden gem if you will... - Service was great! Incredible! This is well worth the drive up from the interstate and ignoring all the pizza in Peoria, except perhaps Peoria Pizza Kitchen, and tied with Flingers for my favorite middle Illinois pie shows. Wendy Puff is special stuff. The owner chefs are personable and remembered our friend's new baby, asked each of our names, and inquired in good timing throughout the evening. Sure the prices are ripe with Illinois taxes, the menu might seem small, and this gorgeously simple atmosphere does get loud with a crowd despite the low music but all entirely worth the small trades. Our cocktails, a strawberry gin fizz and maple syrup old fashioned hit smooth and sublime. Expertly balanced and crafted to match the foods, we had to go a second round with a sour, smashed expectations with its spicy chili simple. Us four went for four puffs as well, that's pizzas to you, called Puffs due to the extremely proofed dough which waits for three days before hitting the oven. And just like the world's greatest story, it sure is well risen after three days for the oven, becoming very thick and poofy, a perfect bed to rest the variety of excellent toppings and unique fare from sweet potato to walnut pesto. We stayed somewhat cautious going for familiar and trusted flavors. They were all amazing! Appetizers too, Italian street food could easily be a forever must do. However, the Soppressetta was in a class by itself being rich and filled with top notch tasty bites. This is one of those rare and golden meal moments that we all started looking at each other in the final moments of our meal saying this is now our place to come on the weekends. read more

I kind of forgot to take a photo! It looked so good and I was so hungry I dug right in. Our pizzas (2) came in only 11 minutes! Our waitress was nice and very attentive. The crust was incredible. I'm not sure if it's always this way due to the brick oven, but it was very warm in the restaurant. My wife got a cider for $7 and it was only a tiny snifter. I didn't buy a craft beer. The menu was on the wall and it didn't have ABV or IBU information. I doubt we'll drive from Peoria again, but I'm glad I tried it. read more

Service was decent considering how busy it was. The puffs (pizzas) were very good! There was a good mix of unique and traditional pizzas. Same with the appetizers, which we didn't end up trying this time around. My wife had the seasonal puff which had sausage and butternut squash. I had the London Timmy which had sautéed mushrooms and onions. Both were very good! They also have about 10 draft beer varieties (craft) and a couple dozen canned as well as wine and a decent bar stock. Will definitely be back! read more

Amazing and unique pizzas! I haven't had a pizza half this good before in central Illinois. I had the winter seasonal special pizza with purple sweet potato, fennel, sausage, ricotta and Gruyère. Wendy Puff is such a fantastic new pizza place for Eureka! The vibe is great - such fun decor (check out the bathrooms!). I am gluten free and their gluten free pizzas are outta sight! As a wood-fired pizza snob, my wife will tell you that I don't give out high praise very easily. Wendy Puff is worthy of high praise. The crust is slightly crisper than a typical Vera Napoletana style pizza with excellent flavor and texture. The toppings are full of subtle flavors, maybe just a little sparse. The menu is inspired. Although it isn't a deep menu, it is not your normal run-of-the-mill stuff. The warmed olives with burrata were a treat and the kale salad complemented the Puffs quite well. Super-friendly waiter, and Bob and Mike are welcoming hosts. We're looking forward to a return trip soon! read more
