We really enjoyed the pizza. They did not skimp on the cheese. The Canadian Bacon was diced instead of whole slices which was nice.

(In case you don't know, this is Quad Cities Service- Called and picked up from the store. Employees seemed nice and cheerful, if not a bit bored. Place wasnt too busy, as it is a carry out only and everyone was standing around, looking like they were waiting on their next order to come in. Food- The pizza was okay. Outside crust was a bit hard and inner was eh. Sauce had a nice flavor and a little spice/zing to it that was nice. There weren't a ton of toppings under the cheese, so for the price, could have been a little more generous. However, the susage in the Mega Meat Pizza was great. It was finely ground and quite good. Price- Price was a bit steep I thought. It is a generally flat rate of $14 for a small (12") or a large (16") for $21. The prices range a dollar or two, but the prices are generalized. read more

Awesome neighborhood pizza place, run by the nicest people! Tucked back in Tanglewood shopping center, this pizza is the real deal. They make their own crust, sauce, and sausage, use fresh veggies, and prepare everything fresh and hot to order. The crust is crisp and chewy and the toppings are piled high. I grew up eating QC style pizza and this is the real deal (Real Mozzarella cheese, ground home-made sausage, nutty sweet crust) The Pizza was AWESOME and they offered a Gluten Free pizza which was just as good. The customer service was great, after accidentally making the wrong pizza, they offered me a free drink and immediately baked me the correct pizza while I waited. It's true, the owner of this place is one of the nicest guys you ever want to meet. But as I used to live in Bloomington, IL, I'm kind of used to this because the people in this area are the greatest, ever! My best friends were from my time in Bloomington. But that said, lets move on to the food. Fat Jacks is a take out place, oh there's a few tables here but that's for waiting, it's just not set up for dining inside. I ordered the large special which is sausage mushrooms and onions. The tab came out to be about 23 dollars. Which is pretty reasonable because this was a large large, not a small large. Man said it would be about 25 minutes, it was ready in 20. It was not bad, the crust was great, sauce was kind of neutral, not spicy, not sweet, but its there. Plenty of toppings. Only thing that I didn't love was the Italian sausage, it was more like ground pork and lacked the fennel I liked. But this is just a personal preference. Some folks described this as Davenport style pizza, well I travel a bit, not to disrespect this place, but the style of cutting is known as New Haven style. Just sayin'. I will definitely be back, although I may order a pepperoni, taco or cheese pizza instead. This place is well worth patronizing. read more

I had the Twelve inch Bacon Cheese Burger. One style of crust (Quqd City). Excellent! There is a mouth watering tang that will be surprising pleasant. Crust is hand tossed and crisp throughout. Decided to try Fat Jack's out based on the reviews. What a bad decision!!! The employees were nice and service was good. But that's the only good thing about this experience. We ordered one small Sausage Pepperoni and Mushroom pizza, a Sausage and Mushroom Calzone and a small Garlic Parm Wing order. Nothing has flavor. NOTHING. The Wing sauce is like a bland marinade. The calzone is kinda small, id say its in between the 7" pizza and the 12". It tastes good but could use some garlic butter brushed on top. Pizza is first rate. The cheese is the best I've tasted, its very flavorful, its the first thing i noticed. If i could only order from one pizza joint in peoria this would be it. Pizza sizes are 7",12" and 16". Its odd that they don't have a 14" pie. The only thing i dislike is the weird way the pizza is cut. Nobody wants weird thin rectangular slices. Nobody wants pizza cut that way. I know that other people didn't really give this place very good reviews, but I have been here a few times, and I can honestly say it is pretty good. They may have had a bad time of it, when they first opened, that justified the bad reviews, but they don't deserve them now. They have a great lunch special. The breadsticks were rock hard, the pizza crust was rubbery, the meat on the taco pizza was pork instead of beef and had a weird taste, and the cheese on the BBQ pork pizza was thick and gelatinous. I have ordered carryout twice from Fat Jack's and was very pleased with both visits! Both times I had the 8 inch supreme, which easily would have been enough to share with someone. The pizza was very filling, loaded with toppings and cheese and the crust was also very good. Not overly thick but not thin either. The first visit I ordered garlic cheese bread and the 2nd visit I ordered boneless wings with bbq sauce. They were both good. My only complaint is I wasn't a fan of the marinara that came with the garlic bread and the ranch was just bottled, I think. The food was all great, I just think they could improve their dipping sauces a little bit. But that alone won't keep me from ordering again. Also wanted to mention, the owner is so nice too, like some other reviews have said. They are so friendly and make you feel like they truly appreciate your business. Fat Jack's Pizza is a wonderful addition to the area. The pizza and sandwiches are all made from scratch and well worth the price. On a recent visit with friends, we tried various things on the menu. I personally had the taco pizza and it was amazing. Fresh meat, wonderful taste, and loaded with toppings. The breadsticks were also fantastic! The rest of the people in my group very much enjoyed their selections. The person who assisted us, who I assume was the owner, was friendly and very nice. Make sure to thank us for our business. As a QC native now relocated to Peoria, I can tell you that Fat Jack's is more than legitimate...it's delicious! What I love about the QC style is that the crust is thin but not crispy, the sauce is flavorful but not sweet (like other Peoria places), the toppings are substantial such as the trademark spicy crumbled sausage that coats the whole pizza, the cheese covers and thus contains the toppings, and the rectangular slicing is obviously practical for putting the pizza in your mouth not your cheeks. If you have enjoyed Harris, Clint's, Charlie's Place, St. Giuseppe's, and the rest, you will enjoy this, especially since the taco Mark makes is better than all the aforementioned. Each time I've been in, I've appreciated his friendliness and passion for his trade. I also appreciate how he is happy to make whatever off menu variation I have asked for. I will be back. read more
