We ordered 3 12" Pizza. Hawaiian, Taco and knuckleHead. The service was great. Our company was good. The pizza's lacked. The Hawaiian: the sauce was watered down and the toppings slid off. To add to the problem the Pizza was not cut all the way through the crust. This made it even more easy for the toppings to slid off. There was no flavor in the sauce and we found it bland. The Taco was the best of all 3 choices but again the pizza was not cut all the way through. Pulling it apart made it messy. Finally the Knucklehead....greasy, very greasy; to the point it dripped grease down the hand. Again the pizza was not cut all the way through. Our bill came to over 100.00 + tip. Like I said the server was pleasant, the Ambiance was good and they play good music. But If you want a really good pizza in Peoria, go to Olivier's in the heights, but be warned the service is not that great.. read more

I ordered 10 pizzas to be delivered to a hotel full of hungry 15 year old boys. They proceeded to give this pizzas to a "delivery driver" named Matthew who was driving a crotch rocket motorcycle. The bartender I spoke with said "yeah we were all watching him and trying to figure out how he was going to deliver them, he repositioned them like 3 times." Needless to say this pizzas never arrived. When I called to ask what they could do they said there was nothing I could do it was between me and grub hub and if I wanted pizza I'd have to put in a new order. No one at knuckles could understand the absurdity of giving a driver of a motor cycle 10 pizzas. When I realized nothing was going to be done about it with their stellar "service" I called Pizza Hut who had all 10 pizzas plus 2 wings orders in 40 minutes. After I reordered the manager called me back telling me it was not her stores fault and when I told her what the bartender said about watching and laughing at the driver, I found out I was on speaker phone and he was there and yelled "what do you want us to do about it?" I was by no means nice to them on the phone, but for them to call me back after they told me their was nothing they could do, to tell me again there was nothing they could do set me off. When I go out of town I try hard to patronize the local businesses rather than national chains. Knuckles was the top rated pizza chain in the area. I have no idea if their pizza is any good because mine is likely laying out on a road somewhere, but I can clearly say their staff that was working that night certainly lacks a bit of common sense. read more

We have been ordering from Knuckle since they opened when visiting family. The last few times the crust has been soggy & the pizza has been extremely greasy. My last experience has been nothing less than disappointing- my order was wrong & when I called I was told they couldn't get me a refund & did absolutely nothing to try to fix their mistake. read more

They were annoyed with our larger group and the waitress was not attentive at all she rolled her eyes when I ordered a drink and surprise it never came anyways. I finally tried this joint!! It was the first fall day of the year! We sat outside & ordered Oktoberfest beer. We ordered the potato appetizer and the Hawaiian pizza (add red onions). The appetizer was super popular (everyone around us ordered it too) but we didn't really care for it, it was slightly sweet? The pizza was AMAZINGGGGG!!!!! The sever was the bartender, and the only server working (hence the 4 stars and not 5). Sadly we did have to wait awhile for beer refills and I honestly would have continued drinking had he not brought the check prematurely. We will for sure be back! Sooo yummy, even cold. Ordered a 12 inch pizza and knuckles bites. Had it delivered to my room at the hotel. I'm staying here for a week. Service from the delivery driver was FANTASTIC! His name was Ryan. Texted me when he was on the way with ETA and when he got here, brought paper plates and napkins. I don't know if they do this all the time but...wow! Talk about thoughtful. Since I'm away, I may not have plates. So awesome! The pizza is pretty good too. Haven't even tried the knuckles yet but I'm sure they are good too. The knuckes is pure sports bar with great appetizers such as the knuckles knot (a twisted bread knuckle bathed in a garlic butter to die for as well as greT wings . When I called to complain about the order they offered to remake it but driving 20 minutes just to be exposed to covid 19 again was not worth it. We were super impressed with our recent dining experience at Knuckles! There were so many options to accommodate everyone from our large group. Our waitress, Cecilia, was so pleasant and offered great suggestions. I loved their gluten free pizza crust and extra options like dairy free/vegan cheese! Cecilia let us know that almost everything on their menu was made from scratch as well! Since moving nearby we've gotten take out from Knuckle's a couple times a month. Everything we've tried, we've liked. Kids really love the garlic knots and the pretzel sticks. Pizza has a great sauce and just the right amount of crust, and the fine grind sausage they use is excellent. Not real sure what defines Quad Cities' style, but we really like it. read more

Having never before experienced "Quad-Cities Style" pizza I read up on it from their website and decided to take the plunge. I ordered the Knucklehead which is sausage, green peppers, onions and mushrooms in the smaller of their 2 sizes, a 12". The larger size is 20" and I was wavering between the sizes as I was going to share the pizza and didn't want to be left hungry. When I picked up my 12" pie from their to-go only location out in the old Chef John's across from Lake of the Woods, I was first surprised by the weight of the box and then when I opened it, I was surprised by the amount of toppings! The way the crumble the sausage evenly over the whole pie makes it look very heavily topped. As I normally get thin crust everywhere I go, this thicker hand-tossed crust was hard to get used to. It was a malty, dense and chewy crust that accounted for half the weight of the pie. There was very little sauce or mushrooms but generous sausage and onions. It was a very filling pie and I was happy with the price of $14 with tax for a dinner that satisfied two hungry people! read more

I normally would not search out pizza on a road trip, however, growing up in the Quad Cities, I had to try KNUCKLES! I would have to say it's better than 95% the same and that is as close to perfect as you can get! The crust is soft and chewy, not to be confused with soggy! It's the way it was.....I ordered the plain sausage! The sausage is crumbly, the same as where I grew up. I hate that so few pizza restaurants use that sausage and I ask for it every time! It's amazing and the flavor of the fennel is so yummy! I felt for the price charged I received a wonderful memory of my youth and it's hard to put a price on that! read more

This is truly my favorite pizza place I've ever been to. I'm from Texas, but my in-laws live in Peoria. They usually have a couple of pies from Knuckles pizza ready for us every time we come to visit. They actually froze one and brought it down to us this past time they came to visit...we had it devoured within an hour. Had Knuckle's Pizza last night; pepperoni pizza and garlic knots(knuckle knots). Both were delicious. While the crust was a little undercooked, the top was almost perfect, nicely browned cheese. The garlic knots were very garlicky (a good thing). They came with a garlic butter sauce that was too buttery and tasty to not clog your arteries. One of the top 5 pizza places in Peoria area, if not top 3. We will return! read more

I usually don't take the time to write restaurant reviews unless I have a strong feeling that the public REALLY needs to know about dining there. Went to Knuckles on a Wed night at 7:00. Our server Aubrey was ridiculously awful in almost all areas. Every time we ordered drinks--initially or refills, it took forever to get them. We could see her standing around talking at the bar which was right next to our table! Our beers sat there for 5-10 min while she talked. A different girl brought our appetizers (we ordered 3 and only were given 2 so she had to go back.) Garlic Butter knots had neither butter or garlic. We had ordered Xtra garlic butter for dipping but got marinara. So the usually yummy butter knots were balls of dough with parmesan cheese on top. Neither this girl or Aubrey ever came back to check on us so we could let them know our dipping sauce was incorrect. We were never given plates, even after our appetizers arrived. We finally had to get up and get our own plates and silverware. So if you do go to Knuckles, do not get Aubrey for your waitress unless you want to see your beer sit at the bar while you have nothing to drink as you eat and you want to get your own plates, napkins and silverware! read more

I visit Peoria a few times a year to visit friends and family and a few years ago we started going to Knuckles Pizza whenever I would get in to town. I was born and raised in Chicago and I've lived in New York, so naturally I have very high standards for pizza. I've travelled the country for work and have eaten pizza in over 30 American cities, from California to New England and most everywhere in between, and I can safely say that Knuckles pizza is some of the best pizza I have ever had. Not only is it absolutely delicious, it's a prime example of culinary excellence coming from a restaurant you wouldn't expect in a city that doesn't have anything else like it. Simply put, you can't get Quad City style pizza in the Quad Cities that's any better than this, and you won't find better customer service or friendliness from employees anywhere in Peoria or the surrounding area. The family who owns the restaurant also run it personally and every time I've eaten there, the owners and their staff have made me feel so welcome and taken care of every detail of our order. My recommendation? Ask for the 4 Corners! I'm not sure that it's on the actual menu, but we get it every time we go. They make us their biggest pizza and they put 4 different kinds of pizza in each quadrant. The Grand Slam pizza is my favorite individual pizza and the garlic knots are so simple, but so good and so filling. Honestly, I haven't had a single thing on the menu I didn't absolutely love. They have a unique sausage crumble that is savory and adds a wonderful texture to their flavors. The sauce is excellent, I get extra sauce every time. The bottom line is that you can't find better pizza in the Peoria area. We've been eating pizza in Central Illinois for years and I've never found a better pie. read more
