First time visit, we ate in. The pizza was fine. Wish they offered garlic bread bc the smell of baking bread from the parking lot had us curious about that bread. The gyro was ok with very, very good pita. Service was friendly and nice. Had a spinach pizza and a New Yorker tonight and I'm amazed at how perfect it was, best food in Peoria.

Amazing owner, kind and very personable makes the absolute best pizzas in Peoria! His sandwiches are all wonderful, as well! He uses real, fresh ingredients and he doesn't limit the toppings like the fast food pizza shops. Yeah, you might pay a little more but I guarantee it will be the best pizza you have ever had. I lived in Chicago for years and visited New York a lot, and I feel Fedora beats them all! If you go you will meet the most incredibly nice young man who is the proprietor. This was a hole in the wall in a questionable neighborhood but once we walked in, we were glad we made the decision. This establishment has been here for over 30 years, and the owner was there and the pizza was the best I've ever had. They like to put a lot of cheese on their pizza and it was just really delicious. Pizza is absolutely fantastic. For all the cheese lovers out there, it is piled on to a soft spongey crust with delicious sauce. The place itself is a little hole in the wall type of place with limited seating but don't let that stop you from enjoying a torpedo in the store! I was fine waiting an hour for take-out, but then when I arrived I still had a long wait, in total it was an hour and a half from when I ordered to when I had the pizza, sandwich, and salad. The New Yorker was big enough for two people, and tasted good, but was soggy from the coleslaw. The garden salad was a lot for the price, and was not wilted. The sausage and onion pizza was the big draw, and it was fine. I liked the cheese and sausage, but the dough was bland, and there wasn't a nice crust edge to hold onto. It was higher quality than chain pizza, but it's not worth waiting so long for pizza unless it's deep dish. read more

We called ahead and the chef put our spinach/white sauce pizza in for us to eat in. The chef served us. Crust has delicious flavor. It's soft, neither thick nor thin. White sauce is so good, and there's plenty of spinach, which is how I like it. He can make anything taste amazing. He made us an iceberg chef salad, and it was so satisfying. After hearing how good the food was here from a friend I decided to stop in the next day. I literally have past this place almost everyday for years..I called in my order (large Gryo pizza) . Was told 45 min. Ok not bad since I heard it's made fresh. I get there place is nothing special but it's not dirty or anything. Just very plain. The owner is super friendly..and I could tell he's passionate about his food. He brings it out and tells me to open the box and check it out..OMG it looked soo freaking good. I picked up the box and it was heavy.. we get home and dig in and it was heaven in my mouth. I'm a big eater and I was full after 1 and a half slices.. I will definitely be coming back and suggest if you love yourself then you should too. I'm going to try some of the sandwiches and salads next time. Side note. Cheese pizza for the kiddo and Spicy Italian sandwich for me (with everything). Both were amazing. The cheese pizza is no joke a cheese pizza. Lots of cheese and nice crust. Wow! Came in on a Friday night. No one was in the restaurant but orders were backed up. There was only one person working and he was apologitic when telling us it would be an hour for our pizza. Thankfully we decided to order and took our things to the hotel while we waited. The restaurant is not conducive for eating in. Only about four tables with one chair at each table and I didn't see any soda machine so I'm not sure what types of drinks they have. We ordered a large pepperoni, Italian sausage, ham and mushrooms (we also wanted bacon but they had run out). We asked about extra cheese and he said he's never had anyone complain about how much he puts on so we left it alone. After about 45 minutes we returned to pick up our pizza and it was hot and ready. We requested plates and napkins which were given with a smile. The crust was thick but the sauce made it a bit soggy on the bottom but not enough to make it fall apart. Toppings were plentiful, big chunks and fresh. The sauce was delicious with that definite home made taste. The cheese was enough and tasty. Our 14 inch was $19, so not too bad. Parking is in the back and again since it doesn't seem like an eat in place the parking wasn't a problem. The order taker/pizza maker was very friendly even though he was extremely busy. He made jokes and was pleasant both times coming in. I would definitely recommend this place for take out! read more

Damn! This is some fine pizza. I came in here on a Tuesday night because I had been in here before. I remembered that the place was a bit funky but the pizza was acceptable. Flash forward, I visit this place and it's still a bit funky, but not as funky as I remembered. Also there is a different guy behind the counter, I didn't ask for his name, but he was so friendly and engaging. Made me feel like he appreciated my business. I ordered sausage, mushrooms and extra cheese. The sucker came out in about 20 minutes. Man! I ordered the 14 inch large and the thing must have weighed at least 4 pounds. It was just loaded with toppings, and flavor? One of the best pizza's I've eaten. Whole thing cost about 21 bucks. Did I mention that the guy behind the counter was a great guy. Seriously, you can only take this surly counter act so far, I love it when a person aims to please. All of the specialty sandwiches are made with soft homemade bread. All of his pizzas are made with true homemade dough. I got the New Yorker sandwich that had a touch of Fedoras homemade dressing! The combination of the pastrami, corned beef, Sauerkraut, mayo, mustard, homemade dressing, and Swiss cheese was a perfect blend that sent your taste buds to the moon! The meat and cheese tasted clean, not your processed deli meat you get at a subway or Jimmy johns. Fedoras also had amazing customer service. The pizzas had a great hand tossed crust with tons of toppings and the layers of cheese were just as thick as the crusts.
