I have not been to this establishment in over a year. In the past, the food has always been good.

Oliver's is advertising special menu items for February. They list Jumer's Cinnamon Rolls. Please do not order these. They DO NOT represent Jumer's or Peoria. Anyone who is from here will be OFFENDED by the poor, miserable attempt. First of all, Jumer's Cinnamon Rolls are made with Bisquick. Oliver's is using plain (and I mean PLAIN) pizza dough. Jumer's also uses a lot of butter inside and out. I didn't detect any butter at all. Shame, shame, shame. I expected more and I'm sure Oliver's will redeem themselves, but they need to take Jumer's out they mouth. read more

Food, service, and ambiance were not on point last Friday night (2/27/26). Food was over cooked and over seasoned. We had to remind our server to bring our food. The music was quite loud. The server lied to us about our rolls being in the oven (when they came out, they were burned on the bottom. And cold). Worst experience I've had in a very long time, maybe ever. Tried this place for the first time last night and wish we had positive things to say, but it was really all bad. Not sure if we were there on shift change, but it took a very long time almost 20 minutes for a bartender to even acknowledge us sitting at the bar. We ordered spicy cauliflower and the homemade chips with salsa for our appetizers. The spicy cauliflower was not spicy and it was soggy. The homemade chips were not homemade chips and definitely just from a bag. Our burger came out at the same time as the appetizers and the burger was equally just as bad as the appetizers, unseasoned and gross. We watched all of our food, be handed to a waitress and take into a whole different table before it was brought to us. Even with the mess up, our bartender still was not friendly or attentive at any point in time. Just all around bad experience. read more

Great, cozy neighborhood joint with crispy pizza and great sandwiches. Everything from the fries to ranch dressing is made in house. We got the pizza which was thin crust and crispy. The burgers and fries are cooked too to perfection. I would recommend trying the cheese curds and wings, both great appetizers read more

We came here for the 2013 "I Think You Should Leave" convention. The staff were all busting their asses for every one of us. My only real gripe is that they don't have many gluten free options but our server was able to get me a burger with no bun with a side salad and I didn't get sick from it. It was actually really tasty and very good quality beef (if only a bit too much cheese - but again, most people whose stomachs can actually digest dairy would probably like that). Their cocktail and beer list is huge and they only charge $5 or $6 for mocktails! Most places make you pay booze prices for these. I also really liked the patio and we were able to bring our pup to hang out and enjoy the festivities. If this place was closer to us (and not 2.5 hrs away), we'd probably come here more often. read more

4.5 stars but rounding up. Not sure what the bad reviews of the pizza are about ... IT IS PHENOMENAL CHICAGO PUB STYLE pizza. Thin crispy crust with slightly charred edges. Better than many of the places in Chicago. Wings are big juicy pieces of meat. More meat than bone. I got the hottest sauce - which was not too hot, but I like Nuke your mouth hotness so I may not be the best judge. Ambiance reminded me of my aunts house on the north side of Chicago in the best way possible. Looking forward to trying some of their others pizzas and drinks in the future. read more

Went here last night and didnt know what to expect. This used to be as house, I believe, and is now a nice pub inside and out, with their nice patio. Side note: they play some great classic rock that lightens the mood. Table ordered apps of onion rings and breadsticks. Breadsticks were good. Little heavy on the garlic salt, but it was good and the sauce was good. If you dont finish them, they are great the next day. The onion rings were excellent, some of the best, not gonna lie. We also ordered the pizza, which was excellent along with the philly cheesesteak. The steak was phenomenal and would definitely order it again. Our waitress Liz was awesome and was s rockstar! Aaaand there's a reason why they won "best traditional wings" at the Peoria Wing Fest, they're the bomb! Service was awesome, walked in ordered my wings(buffalo is a must), fried pickles (must try, it's homemade), and walked out. The establishment was very "homey" literally. You open the front door on a porch, just like in a home, and to your right is the bar which also leads out to a very nice deck. I see myself and the wife going there during the summers. This is my go-to restaurant in Peoria for delicious pizza, sandwiches and burgers, along with friendly servers and great customer service. You can't go wrong with any of the appetizers, especially the delicious spinach artichoke dip and breadshticks topped with melted cheese. Their pizza selection is top-notch with classics and newfound favorites for everyone, from the Hawaiian to the Quad Pepper and BLT pizzas. Incredible sandwiches and burgers include the Chicken in the Garden, which is topped with a delicious garlic aioli, and the homemade Farmers Sausage. You really can't go wrong with anything on the menu! Make it a point to visit there soon. read more

Hip, new spot for dinner/drinks in Peoria. Located on Willow Knolls across from Kellogg GC, Oliver's has Peoria's most robust selection of craft beers. Most of the handles are from local distributor Marketplace Selections, so this is definitely the place for the craft beer connoisseur. Trivia on Thursday nights is also a big draw. We love this place. We love gathering here with friends for rounds of beers with some bites of food in between. My fave is the huge, beautiful, ancient tree that has a dominating presence in the beer garden. I love sitting underneath it in the moonlight watching my friends discuss whatever topic seems pressing at that moment, as my attention always seems to drift to that magnificent tree. The drinks are so varied and rotated regularly that you really have to be a beer snob not to find something that suits your fancy. The food is above average and staff are quick and friendly. I really want to like this place! Within walking distance, it could be a fun place to hang out after work. Both times I have gone, the service has been very slow. It was almost like our server forgot about us. Two dishes were brougjt out a good 5 min apart, with the second being cold. The food was good, leaning towards very good. Had it been hot and not taken over an hour to get, I am sure it would have been very good. Beer selection is decent, but not great. I will give it a third try at some point. Hoping they just need to work the new place kinks out. Overall, I would say give it a shot, but be prepared to wait for your food and servers. read more

Came here with a group to try out their Trivia night*. We've been to the Oliver's in Peoria Heights, but this was our first time at this location. It's a really cool location in an old house. It has a lovely porch and a really great backyard patio. The food was good but standard bar fare. It is nice that they have some healthier selections like grilled tuna steak salad. I had the buffalo chicken sandwich and it was tasty. I also had the onion rings, which weren't great. But they brought me some of their delicious homemade pickles instead, so I was happy. Their cocktails were fantastic. I may have had more than I should and had three different cocktails. The standout for me was their moscow mule. One of the better ones I've had. I also split the chocolate stout milkshake with my husband for dessert. I wasn't sure what to expect from a beer milkshake, but it was amazing. Overall this place is nothing super special to me for the food, but the drinks and location make it a standout. We will be back for some porch sitting and beer milkshake drinking! *The trivia was one of those chain trivia services. I'll let you know we performed horribly, but I don't think my dislike of the style was because of how badly we did. The questions were actually good, but you had to turn in your answer after each question, rather than at the end of a round or a half. I've never been to a trivia that runs like that. It's very inconvenient when you're trying to eat and hang out with friends and you have to keep making trips to the bar. It was especially inconvenient because Oliver's, as I said, is an old house. So it wasn't like it's one big room and you just have to walk to the bar. It's a house with multiple rooms so you have to walk across the house to bring the answer. This place is right over by my house and I've gone a couple of times. The only thing I have found satisfactory are the onion rings and the trivia nights. Never listen to your children my daughter told me she thought this is really good pizza it's really average pizza at best I got the chef pizza sausage green pepper and onion. The crust was like a biscuit or a cracker cardboardy and tasteless the topping was average kind of plain and bland. Terrible pizza! Terrible service! We went out with our friends and had to wait 1 hour and 30 minutes for our food and waited 30 minutes for our first drink! While we were there, we watched 12 people (5 separate tables) just get up and walk out. After eating their pizza, I wish that we had just walked out too. Sad to say, the pizza wasn't very good. The crust was rock hard and it was cooked to death....black around the edge. The cheese had boiled and bubbled and then turned hard on top. The toppings were really skimpy. One olive on a piece and nothing else? Several pieces were like that. There were 3 pizzas on our table and they were all the same. Our waiter was a nice guy but needs to go to waiter school. No napkins, plates or utensils. We had to ask and then wait for them. (Pretty basic stuff). He never came back to refill drinks until we were all done. The saving grace was playing trivia. That was fun. That is why I gave it a 2 instead of a 1.
