Although the beef was good, you couldn't eat it as a sandwich after the first bite due to it being soggy. My side of onion rings were terrible. A thin layer of onion skin with an inch thick of batter that was at room temperature and greasy. My wife's side of Brussel sprouts looked and tasted like something out of freezer with no seasoning, and warmed up in a microwave. Tavern brussel sprouts should come out crispy with bacon and onions. We are done being patrons here, this is ridiculous. Waited over a half hour for our food, with little restaurant traffic. Our server did offer to get us something else, but we declined. We ended up staying there talking for a couple of hours to catch up, and the staff was friendly and accommodating. While there are lots of great options on the menu, both of us chose the BPT - Breaded Pork Tenderloin. I've eaten a lot of breaded pork tenderloins in my time, but none like this one. The usual approach is super thin and huge, making the bun look tiny. While this one wasn't much larger than the bun, it was at least an inch thick, so it was more like eating a fried pork chop sandwich, but with the meat tenderized. The meat was well-seasoned and very flavorful, and the crust was extra-crispy and crunchy. The Honey-Lime sauce (one of three sauces brought to each table along with Ranch and Tyler's Sauce) is delicious and worked great with the pork. Fries were good, as was the cole slaw (which had a nice kick from some very freshly-ground black pepper). And I'm always happy when a place has Guinness on tap.

From the get go the atmosphere was great, there was a short queue (but it was a Friday night, so it's to be expected), but we were quickly shown to our table. Our server was Connor, who was great from the start and was very flexible with our large group who had a few dietary preferences/requirements. One of our favorite things about the menu is the focus on utilizing local businesses and serving their products. As most locals know Bill's Lemon Shake Ups are a staple in the region so when I saw that on the menu I had to go for that, and with multiple flavor choices I was excited to try. I ended up settling for the tenderloin sandwich, but I was certainly interested to try a lot of the menu. The amount of pork was HUGE and it was flavorful and paired with the honey lime sauce it was a 10/10! The bun alone was phenomenal, and I couldn't recommend this meal enough if you are a schnitzel or tenderloin fan! That sauce is definitely a star of the show, paired with the sweet heat seasoning available at the table next to the S&P the meal was the perfect combination of sweet, spice and tasty! Everyone else enjoyed their meals as well and there was little left by the end. The nachos were customized to account for a dietary preference so this is not the standard, however they were delicious and a huge portion. The pizza was thin crust and was excellent too, so no notes across the board. Thanks once again to Connor for accommodating us and being so patient with our party. You can also purchase any of the three major sauces that they have in house, so I proceeded to buy the honey lime which we'll be enjoying for the next few weeks, if it makes it that long!

I will never go in there again. I made an order and the trashy bartender was too busy worrying…read moreabout me on a slot machine because her friend "Karen" wanted the machine. Well there were 3 other machines available so why was mines an issue? So anyway the I gave the bartender the order and she was acting like she really wasnt trying to hear, but stated hold on for a second. But then started asking everybody else what they wanted smiling and tee heeing. So 10 mins roll by 15 and so on mind you I am still on the machine. So a whole hour passed and still no attention and no order, no eye contact except for a simple roll of the eyes. Then as her friend Karen complains again about the machine, she buys shots for her other friend. At the time it was 3 of them. And one felt the need to state. WE ARE THE 3 KKK, LOL. So they felt that was very appropriate and laughed along with it . And the bartender with the bun on her head did not say a word. But you felt it was okay for that behavior? So I guess the real reason why you ignored me was because I was not the preference of color and of course the only person of color in there. But no worries I will never set foot back in that burnt grease hole in the wall. P.S Then I heard the bartender say she had a order, then said oh well. Now that was foul on all parts. It was very tacky and unprofessional. I felt so outta of place when I should not have. Never will I ever go in there again.

Came in for brunch last weekend with a friend, as we were looking for a new place to try for brunch. I came across their breakfast/brunch menu, which is short and sweet, with just the right amount of options. My friend ordered the Biscuit Brisket and Gravy. This is a large biscuit, with gravy (excellent gravy), a egg to order, and topped with barbecued brisket. The brisket was an excellent touch, adding a little sweet and savory to the already flavorful biscuit and gravy. I ordered the West Town Tap Burger, which was a maple glazed pork patty (amazing flavor let me tell you!), hash browns, a fried egg, bacon, all on a bun. This was an amazing breakfast sandwich that I would HIGHLY recommend!! Our server was the owner, so the service was excellent, friendly, and quick. Prices were great and you will not leave hungry!

Everything was from scratch and it tasted really good. The baby really enjoyed it. This sweet potato fries are amazing. I was confused why the restaurant was so empty but perhaps it's because it takes so long to get your food? Or possibly Peoria I just can't support a nice restaurant like that. I was disappointed that I couldn't eat off the dinner menu. I was really looking forward to a few of the things on that menu. Perhaps next time we can get takeout so the kids won't get so antsy and try some of the dinner menu. Thank you hearth for a lovely lunch that was safe for our family!
