Life as a Southerner in the Midwest is not fair at times. I found Bellevue Tap and read a glowing review about their wings thanks to Yelp. I figured I had to go try them. I do not drink alcohol and many places here in the Midwest do not serve sweet tea. I have brought my own sweet tea countless times to restaurants and no one cared... that is until Bellevue Tap. I sat down and the first thing I said was I was here for wings. The lady noticed my tumbler and asked what was in it. I said sweet tea. She then told me I couldn't have that in there. I did not see a sign anywhere that was posted about not bringing outside drinks especially one they did not have on hand. I guess she thought I was going to pick the wings over my sweet tea and well, she was wrong. I got up and left. Before I wrote this review, I googled to see if I was at fault for bringing in my own drink. The only thing I could find was the restaurant could ask me to leave. But I told her I was going to order wings. I thought if I wanted to give them money, they wouldn't care. Like I said, I have lived in the Midwest for 4 years and brought in my own sweet tea to countless places. No one else cared and I even asked if it was ok several times before. I can understand if I was not going to order food or they had sweet tea on hand on why they would tell me not to bring it in. The lesson here...Don't mess with this Bama Boy and his sweet tea! Seemed to be only one waitress handling the entire restaurant during peak Saturday lunch, we jumped in just in time before the rush and nabbed a nice table between the bar and gambling room. Noticed a good menu of daily specials, quite decent prices but some appetizers were hilariously expensive, why are corn nuggets often an eight dollar starter? It's corn! Our waitress turned up in ten minute increments then fifteen as larger groups arrived. Was curious how a good menu didn't provide more staff to serve it which got me even more stuck seeing she forgot to give me my three egg rolls for eight something but charged me for individual prices making it twelve. I couldn't wait another fifteen minutes to fix the error. Thankful the corned beef roll and southwest were tasty but small, taco egg roll was tiny and missing taco toppings. I guess little bars like this aren't the place to try fusion food despite my addiction for smashing cuisines together: my buddy's fried chicken horseshoe looked fantastic and heard no complaints. Another friend mentioned to us later he enjoys the chicken sandwiches here. Difficult to say if most of the menu skimps on value, holds back flavors, but like most small drink dives, I bet there's a handful of menu wins that put this as a top pick for those who know. read more

We found this place on chance while killing some time before our flight home. Our family of 6 was welcomed immediately and we found the woman that helped us - Laura - to be friendly, patient and very attentive. My kiddos enjoyed their food which was plentiful and freshly made. I LOVED the tenderloin sandwich. Thin and delicious as a pork tenderloin sandwich should be! I recommend trying this gem out if in the area!!! read more

The food was really good, we had fried pickles and burgers with multiple topping choices both of which ended up good. For a busy afternoon I would say the food came out in good time, our server was attentive. Great food and great atmosphere. Even in this crazy time, the food is tremendous. Portions are huge. The chicken sandwich is tender and seasoned great. The fried pickles are great. This place knows how to do wings. It's the only thing I've gotten there and they were outstanding. I got the Korean BBQ, the Parmesan Garlic, and the Hot. Right now I wouldn't even give them that now. Used to be a great place with good food! But they complain about coupons used that they put out once a month. The one thing that really makes me the maddest is being called a liar. Some staff will not take the blame that belongs on their shoulders. Thanks to our local paper I've found another neighborhood bar that serves good food. Besides having cheap beer.5beers in a bucket domestic for $10 every day.They also have two dollar draft beers Bush and Bush light .But what I enjoyed more than the beer was a good food and the friendly people no matter how good the food is if the waitress or bartender is a crab or in a bad mood it hurts your experience here the people are friendly and the customers are not scurvy or odd just regular American working people.Its a bar with good food My wife had a hamburger andI had breaded chicken tenders-both were good and the sauces for the chicken tenders were homemade we also tried the homemade chips with housemaid cheese sauce and that was a real treat; and highly recommended Our bill for our burger and wings and bucket of beer was $27 that's not too bad for today's going out for a night prices they could have received five stars and maybe they will next time I go read more

Was there today with a group for lunch, saw an elderly man fall on the ice in the parking lot very sad. Don't know what is going on here. They tell me the owner owns a landscaping business very hard to believe that when the fence in the back has fallen over the parking lot isn't plowed or salted and the brush is over grown all around the place but there has been a landscaping truck parked there for a year or so that never moves and has plates that expired two years ago. Place Has zero curb appeal. Food was decent, been there before it has been pretty quality most times I don't feel like they buy crap product to serve so that is a plus. Could use a menu update everything has been the same for a couple years. Moral I guess is owner could careless about most things besides poker machine money and having to hire new staff constantly being the people working are never the same.
