Review Visit: February 17th, 2015 Silver Bullet in name only. There are no werewolf threats here! In fact, they don't sell anything gun related. Just yum related. Silver Bullet is a nickname for Coors Light. Which, in talking to friends, used to be hard to come by in this area back in the day. So maybe this place is named as a tribute to that beer? The Silver Bullet has been in East Peoria for as long as I know. As a kid, I remember this place being here, because I would visit the Co-Op Store next door (music store) to pick up some cds and music memorabilia. It was called Silver Bullet, Too at one point, but I am unaware if there was a second location. Once my friends and I turned 21, we started to visit this place, so the Initial Date is a bit misleading. My friends and I have been here many times before and after the photo you see above. Each time has been a great memory filled with deliciously cheap food, great drinks and a friendly staff. My friend Maria and I actually spent NYE 2016 here, counting in 2017 and despite it being slow in the bar, we had a blast. So what does the Silver Bullet offer? Well it has really good bar food at bar prices. I would actually come here with an ex-girlfriend just to get a good meal and shoot the breeze for a few hours. It has slots, a pool table or two, slots and some golf gaming machine. I will say that what I expected was a dumpy/low key bar since it's in a strip of stores and the outside is kind of plain. But once you step in, it almost has a restaurant feel as it is more upscale and everything is in really great shape. There is even a Beer Garden/Patio that you can go out and enjoy your beers while smoking or taking in the great Illinois weather. Sorry, this blog post has been all over the place. To me, Silver Bullet is like a real life Cheers bar. Just a fun and friendly place to go for some food and libations. So if you need a good bite and are in East Peoria for some reason, check out Silver Cheers... I mean Silver Bullet for an enjoyable time... Unless you are a werewolf! Hoooowwwwllllll! read more

We went in two separate times and the server remembered us....what we ordered, asked how our plans had gone (a birthday party for a brother), the server was friendly and attentive! Good neighborhood bar ! Definitely an East Peoria hangout ! I came here for lunch on a Saturday while my vehicle was being serviced at the near by goodyear location. I ordered a silver bullet burger and fries with a Sierra Mist. The Sierra Mist wasn't very good. The carbonation was off. The burger is a good size. I wasn't that thrilled with the burger. The flavor was just ok. It didn't seem like the meat was fresh. The fries were actually tasty. They are pre made and frozen but for some reason they had good crunch and flavor. The ambience here is why my rating is so high. This sports bar has plenty of TVs, bar area, and a good amount of seating! There is a reason why this neighborhood bar has been around since 1997. I talked to the owner for a little while and he was really nice! I recommend coming here to watch a game! read more

A go-to diner for the pork tenderloin lover. Crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside. Service excellent! This old style diner is an unusually quiet sports bar. Noise and music levels do not interfere with normal conversation. Comfortable place with great comfort food! read more

First time here. We sat at the bar. Fred, the female bartender, was awesome and friendly. We had the fried green beans, patty melt, tenderloin and fries. The patty melt was cooked perfectly. Meat comes from Costco and cooked fresh. We had 4 beers. Bill $44. We will go back. FYI the bar stools are not comfortable but they do have table and chairs and booths. read more

This would've been a better review if not for the obvious tension and conflict between the bartender and one of the servers. I sat at the bar and listened to snide comments and dirty looks from the bartender toward the server all night. But pork tenderloin sandwich was delicious and pizza later in the night was really good. Just get along folks!!! read more

My 23 year old son went to this establishment with some friends while he was home for the holidays. He lives out of state and has a valid out of state drivers license as well as his old in state license. The bartender refused to serve him which is ironic since he was the oldest of his group. Maybe a little education for the bartenders is needed. read more

This is our family gathering spot of many, many years. The staff is fabulous, and Larry is always there with a smile on his face. Great food, very laid back atmosphere. I recommend the Chicken ranch wrap to anyone who will listen to me. The teriyaki wings are always delicious as well. If you want a good night out with the family, come here. Unless you are a local that hangs out here, DON'T GO! Was there Tuesday night Sept. 23rd. Lady bartender was super rude. I was there from out of state with a friend. She lives in East Peoria and was so embarrassed by this terrible and rude bartender. She got so annoyed when we called her away from her friends at the other end of the bar. We finished our beer and cancelled our order. She took me to Buffalo Wild Wings and they were all very nice to us. Literally one of the worst bars I ever went into. read more

This place is a little hole in the wall to come enjoy some bar food and watch the game on tv or just hang out w/ friends. The atmosphere is very laid back and from what I can tell consists of an olderish crowd (I'm 27 if that gives you any idea what I mean). Their food is quite fantastic though---in my opinion they serve the BEST cheeseburger I have ever had and their fries aren't half bad either. I also like their loaded nachos! The Silver Bullet has all the aspects of a backwoods diner. Nothing dirty or downtrodden about this cozy establishment. I came here with a few buddies that live in the area. We each had a sandwich with fries. The food is not great and not crappy. It is fairly priced ($5-$6 for a lunch meal with drink) and was all prepared just fine. The staff are all very welcoming and are hard working locals trying to make each customer feel welcome. There is a lot of local charm about this place. Including the interactions between customers and staff. There are many signs on the wall that elicit chuckles and the ol' - hey, check that one out - kind of laughs. If you want a small town feel, in a small town, then stop on by here and have yourself a home cooked meal prepared with speedy and smiley service. read more

Ate here for the first time in years. We no longer live in the area. The food was bar food as expected and desired. It tasted good, was served hot, timely, and with a smile. Beers and mixed drinks were cold and good. The only thing disappointing to me was, their pork tenderloin is not the same as I remembered it. Maybe it was my memory, but I remembered it being a true tenderloin. This evening I received what I consider a fritter. It was good, just not what I expected. My wife's food was great and the nachos were good too. Will be back, will just order a burger instead. Would recommend to a friend. read more
