Review Visit: February 19th, 2016 Alpha Bravo was just Alpha Oscar Kilo Alpha Yankee. Over the years, I have gotten many coupons in the mail for local restaurants. You have probably experienced similar things. These coupon books have been incredibly helpful for me to discover local places while getting a good deal. I've seen offers for Alpha Bravo in just about every single one. Finally, a friend and I decided to try them out since we seen their coupons all the time. Advertising at work. We strolled in on a sunny and warm winter day with empty bellies and a coupon in hand. I think our deal was... Buy one entree, get one half off or free. Either way, it was a good deal in our eyes. As we walked in, we immediately noticed that the place was dedicated to military veterans. I think that is really cool. Both of us were hungry for burgers and the menu had some pretty good sounding options. The BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger was calling my name and that is was I got. My friend got just the Bacon Cheeseburger. We both got some fries to accompany our burgers. As we were sitting there and conversing, I noticed that the people there were giving us some weird side-eyes. Like, we weren't the regular people who visit and/or we weren't military vets and didn't belong there. That was kind of unsettling in a way. Luckily, our food didn't take too long to cook and be brought out to us. Excited to distract us from the strange looks by the people around us, we dug in as quick as we could. For the amount of delicious toppings on the burger, I couldn't fathom how each bite had no flavor. Somehow, they achieved the impossible. A tasteless burger. This was immensely disappointing as it looked amazing and smelled great. Luckily, the fries that came with it had some flavor. I got some queso to put on them and that was a delicious choice. With the weird glances from the other patrons and the bland burger, the meal was overall saved by the good fries, good conversation and the coupon deal we had. Should the opportunity arise, I would love to try the place again. The fact that they support veterans is really awesome in my book. read more

We stop by often. Nightly specials are great. Our favorite is chicken strips on Thursdays. They are big, juicy, and reasonable. The staff is always fun and friendly. read more

Reviewed during COVID, so keep that in mind. This place has moderate prices on most food but the wings and pizza are extremely generic. Both times I have been there, I have been charged a "pickup" fee and had to correct at least 5-10 dollars of extra charges on the bill. Staff seems friendly, but the food wasn't enough for me to want to go back. read more

For the most part, the food is good & inexpensive. It is a small bar/restaurant but much more of a bar atmosphere than a restaurant. Service is good and pretty quick. One of the days we were there, (a Tuesday), they had $1 margaritas. Pretty good size for the price, but it tasted like straight lemon juice. They also had 45¢ wings, which were good. I don't care for the onion rings at all. Way too much breading and it didn't taste good either. The fried pickles are really good, and the pickle slices are HUGE. Also, there are 3 entrances to the building, so no matter where you sit, you will be by a door. Don't bother taking your coat off if it's cold outside. All in all though, a good place to eat. You get full for the money, and it's obvious they are big supporters of our military, which I greatly appreciate. It would be nice if they could expand the restaurant to fit more people. read more

We've been dining here and ordering pickup for years. The food and service is almost always amazing. The place has a drive-thru where you can pickup orders called in. We decided to dine in today, and the food was even better than usual. I had the Pony Shoe with Crispy Chicken. I enjoyed it like usual, even more with the new seasoned fries! My GF had a pound of traditional wings, half teriyaki, half hot garlic. Wings were good size, sauces were excellent! She especially liked the hot garlic. read more

Came here for dinner with a friend. I got a pulled pork sandwich and he got a burger. We both thought the meat tasted frozen/store bought, but I thought the spicy BBQ was good and he liked the burger toppings. Beer selection was the typical Miller/Bud fair, but they did have 312 on tap. Prices were average. I ordered the "potato slices", which turned out to just be chips; that was a weird bait and switch, but the waitress did offer to exchange them for fries. read more

My go to spot in Sunnyland! Great food, great staff, great prices. My favorite is the chicken and bacon quesadillas. The chicken strips are hand made and awesome! Fridays try the dine in pizza special, best $6.50 you'll ever spend. read more

Ate here for the first time tonight. I have to say, I was a HUGE fan of Harold's Hamburgers which occupied this building before Alpha Bravo, so a piece of me remained loyal to that establishment (and its best fries in the world) as I walked through the door into the remodeled space. The new setup is nice - small and cozy. Beer garden seemed cool, too. We started out with an order of onion rings which were very good if a little greasy. The onions appeared to be big thick slabs of red onion. Two of our party are not normally onion ring fans, and even they enjoyed them. I had a chicken Caesar wrap which was very tasty with lots of variety in flavors, though the wrap it self seemed a little dry. My son had a tenderloin which usually in these parts means a thin, frisbee-shaped deep fried patty that is 3 times larger than the bun. This one was a little different - irregularly shaped, thick and batter fried. It came with 1,000 Island dressing, tomato, lettuce and a bunch of chopped onion (my son thought a little too many) but other than that he said it was very good. Others in our party had a burger (again - a comment about the plethora of onion pieces on it) and an order of chicken wings. Aside from the onion comment, everything was well received and happily consumed! I do still mourn Harold's fries. The crinkle fries that came with the sandwiches were tasty and crispy enough, but they weren't a patch on the ones that came before. I think Alpha Bravo is a good place to eat and we will definitely go back. I also think they could do with ironing out a few details. We were given a greasy basket of onion rings to share, but no plates (we had to ask for them.) I could really have done with some silverware to eat my wrap with, and my son could have done with a knife to cut his big tenderloin sandwich in half, but these were never offered. Drinks were kept refilled without asking, but my iced tea came with too little ice to begin with, and that quickly melted leaving just, well, tea. Still, these are small things. The quality of the food and the variety of the menu as well as the friendly, prompt service and nice atmosphere will bring us back here again, I'm sure. read more

Service was good for the most part. Had one person running like crazy between all the tables. We were there for about 45 mins before receiving our food. When it came out we just simply took it to go. Food was inexpensive, but you definitely get what you pay for here. It didn't help that we sat next to the kitchen and consistently heard the microwave singing before the food came out. The horseshoe was served with plain white bread (not toasted Texas toast) and the cheese apparently melted on top in the microwave which also made the fries soggy. Went here on a Friday night - food was quick and tastes, drinks were great. We chose to eat outside since it was a nice night and was quiet. The only complaint was a man came towards end of our dinner and started smoking pot... Waitress came out and it was very obvious what he was doing but nothing was said. To be honest that spoiled what could have been an enjoyable dinner and a better review. Overall $29 for two meals and 4 drinks was reasonable but idiot outside put a damper on it. read more

The food was bar food. Just so-so. The service was terrible. We had a thin, pretty woman in her 30's. I think she was the head waitress. SHe had a terrible attitude and spent more time gossiping about people than working. The bar was nicely remodeled and the outdoor beer garden was great. We could have done without the nasty attitude though. read more
