It was only 8:40, and when my husband asked why, she gave him a pretty sharp look before finally coming back and taking our order. We both got bacon cheeseburgers with fries. The fries were fine, but the burgers were terrible -- dry, completely lacking flavor, and clearly unseasoned. I just don't understand why bars bother offering food if they aren't going to put any effort into making it decent. We each only managed to eat half of our burgers, which is rare for us. On top of that, service was lacking. Our server never checked back on us, and we had to walk up to the bar just to flag someone down. Meanwhile, the bartenders were having the loudest time in the whole place, yelling and laughing amongst themselves louder than any of the actual customers. Overall, the vibe was off, the food was bad, and the service wasn't much better. We won't be going back.

As if they couldn't decide which salty snack to give absolutely free to their loyal patrons, they just decided to give both. You'll see the popcorn machine, but the free pretzels aren't advertised. Now you know the secret. Use it wisely. Some people will say that Jimmy's Bar has many faults...including their inconvenient location, poor parking, cramped interior, lack of seating on busy nights, inadequate bathrooms, etc. These are legitimate concerns. However, somehow when you enter Jimmy's all your cares disappear and you'll have then super-power to look past these quirky defects to just enjoy yourself for a few minutes. I am more of a person that sits back and watches how people behave in order to make my first impressions. As the matter of a fact I can be a shy person unless I get to know someone pretty well. I have only spoken to Jan on a few occasions, and therefore, I can provide an unbiased opinion about the Bistro. From what I have seen, Jan makes the enviornment comfortable and accepting, and she does not have a greedy bone in her body, unlike most business owners. In addition, she has made my drinks before and she puts just as much alcohol in the drinks if not more than the bartenders do. Most business owners would be stingy with the alcohol and try to get a bigger return on his or her investment. In addition, she had the ingenious idea to have karaoke on Thursday after bingo, and I swear the bar is more crowded on Thursday nights than it is on the weekend.
