We came here for the Illinois final four game and altho we got there late and tables were spoken for, a couple minutes hanging out near the gaming area and we eventually found a back table to take over from an abandoned reservation. Have you ever just happened to go into a bar for the first time and you feel like you're among friends? That's how it felt when my wife and I went into Cruzen's on Memorial Day Sunday. We found 2 seats at the bar and grabbed a couple of menus. The bartender (who was awesome) came and asked what we wanted to drink. I ordered a beer and she quickly said that Sundays are $2 tallboys. Couldn't pass that up. She then told us that pizzas are half priced in Sunday. Again, couldn't pass that up. The pizza is really good; a thin, crisp crust, lots of cheese and perfectly cooked. This was the worst service. I came in by myself to watch a football game. I got one drink at the bar and had to move because the game I wanted to watch wasn't on where I was sitting. When I moved no one spoke to me for over 30 minutes until I had to get up and ask for another drink. When I explained no one had asked if I wanted another drink or any food the server I had to track down gave me an excuse that it was someone else's job! Way to pass the buck! Terrible service. Arrived and looked at the menu, decided what to eat then we were told they were short staffed so they're only doing late night menu. Apps and pizzas only at 1 pm. Waited 40 minutes to get our cheese sticks and an hour and a half to get three pizzas. One pizza wasn't barely cut and was falling apart when trying to it. Drink service was terrible too. Should have went to Schooners. I get they may be short staffed but this was absolutely terrible. read more

The service was great, drinks were getting refilled quickly and the appetizer sampler was the perfect mix of all food! For dinner I had a cheeseburger... it was fantastic! Took off one point for the smell inside the bar. I would highly recommend coming here if you like great bar food. read more

Ive always been a big Crusens War fan. Great staff. Plenty of seating. Great patio. Fantasic specials. Food is excellent...especially their salads. Fri is 1.50 Coors or Bud Light bottles. Had 3 of those and the grilled chicken salad that was the best Ive had. A lot of chicken, homemade dressing and fresh extras like diced tomatoes and eggs. Salad $10 and definitely worth it. My buddies and I have been coming on Thursdays or Monday occasionally since last summer. This is now our favorite place due to the different menu choices, great food and cold draft beer. We love the pizza, tenderloins, and I love the philly steak. The service is top notch and the servers are excellent, professional and they are fun. It is a great bar atmosphere and it is hard to beat for this kind of food and great prices as well. We have not had one thing to complain about and we can be a little picky at times. Second time coming here, and this time we came here for the Bloody Mary. My girlfriend is a bloody fanatic, and this place has one of the best in Peoria. They load that bad boy up with olives, pickles, cheese cubes, pepperoni, and a beef stick. They are pretty spicy too, which I love. Although they have a smaller menu, from what I've tried they're really good! Their Buffalo wings were sizeable and delicious. Crusens war memorial has the best staff in Peoria. Bartenders are super fast. Justin the guy with all the tattoos always gets us our drinks in a very fast manner. Food is great with awesome drink specials, and have live music every Saturday. Perfect beer garden for the summer. read more

Better than the Farmington Road location which is saying nothing. Thursday night- let's have 2 servers handling both inside and outside so they can get super overwhelmed and crabby! OK then, I will get my own drink inside at the bar.....but first I will wait while one of the crabby waitresses spends 5 minutes complaining to the bartender about how slammed she is. Pizza was very blah after an hour wait. Women's bathroom had a roll of TP sitting on the sink for 4 hours since both the paper towel and the toilet paper dispensers were empty. No one has a key apparently-good thing they are kept locked!! How did that roll on the sink not get stolen?!?!? read more

Corn flakes perhaps? Slaw not good. Loaded tater tots were a joke. Deconstructed- I understand that. But the serving looked like a side serving. Maybe 15 tots. Not good for $9. Been two years since we stopped for tenderloins and beer. We were with our daughter, grandson, and son-in-law. Perhaps because son-in-law 's relative works there we were treated great. I understand that the place is busy but it's ridiculous. Appears as if they are short staffed compared to the customer demand. Always a good spot for drinks and laughter. The service here sucks though. The last time a group of us went, they had one person waitressing every table and person at the bar. It took us 30 mins to place our first order of drinks. We didn't see the poor girl again till 45 mins after that. So we decided to just order every drink after that right from the bar. Otherwise, the crowd is always good... The live music is tolerable and the price for drinks are reasonable for Peoria. Always have a good time here... Never anything less than that. Crusens is a perfect spot for nightshifters to go after work for a great breakfast and beer. Also is a good spot for a night out. Multiple tvs for watching sports. Live bands and a nice digital juke-box. My favorite thing about crusens is the amount of beers on tap. There is somewhere around 20 beers on tap, including "craft" beers and ipa's. read more

Okay, this place is the ideal place for the lonely and drunk. Jukeboxes and a broken table hockey game are all the rage up in here. Also if you're low on the moolah you can try your luck at one of the several lotto machines, ka'ching! The food is pretty good, I did enjoy it. They're TV'S are great, nice and big. The bar is top knotch. But the thing that keeps me coming back is the beautiful waitress with the plaid shirt. I wish I could ask her out on a date then in turn take her to her very own crusens lol. I wonder if she's single, I mean I'm not ugly, I'm pretty good looking, she seems so down to earth, someone you can tell all your problems to, someone you can grow old with. Crusen's on War is a good bar, just not as good as the Crusen's on Farmington. It's the exact same bar, though Crusen's on War does sometimes offer Busch draft for $1 as a special. The clientele is slightly different. Crusen's on Farmington can fill with college-bro types and Crusen's on War can fill with softball-bro types from across the street. The only disadvantage of Crusen's on War is the smokers. The outdoor area is accessible via several open garage doors, which makes the smoke roll in. read more

Showed up on a Wednesday night after a recommendation from my hotel desk. They had a live band that played fun music but wasn't overwhelmingly loud. Staff was friendly and pretty quick to keep my drink full. I had a small bite to eat which came out quick and hot. Seemed like a decent crowd for a Wednesday.
