We stopped in here before grabbing some drinks downtown, I will say I didn't realize this was a hotel restaurant but honestly it didn't matter, this food was great! The restaurant was empty when we showed up so we were immediately sat and helped by our waitress Grace! She was so friendly and attentive which made our experience so nice: The food was your typical bar food, well priced and really good! Nothing next level but I was really happy with it. Unfortunately the only thing that fell short for me was the drink, they were all pretty much too strong to enjoy, and very acidic. But other than that it was amazing! read more

The restaurant had a sign telling people to wait for seating. We waited and waited. Finally, a customer walked out and said no one ever comes to seat you and for us to seat ourselves. We did. There was a buffet. No plates. We got someone's attention and got some plates. Food was very limited, but not bad. We ate and waited for our check. Although there were several employees going in and out of the kitchen and bar, no one ever showed up. We finally just left money on the table and left. Pitiful service for mediocre food. We're visiting for a tournament and this bar is next to our hotel. It's a good and clean looking sports bar and was a great spot to watch game 2 of the western conference finals for the nba. Although they were understaffed at the time (2 serving, one of which was the bartender, no host either), they were honest from the start that they would do their best, and the staff were still awesome! Our host/server, Kate was great! She checked in with us as best as she could, very apologetic about the situation, but never lost her energy and still great attitude towards her job, cheers to you and your team! In terms of the food - was very worth the wait. I haven't had fish and chips in a while, from most restaurants, and this was their Friday special. So happy I got it! The grilled lemon was a great add to freshen up the dish, the seafood was moist under the batter and just melts in your mouth. Also, that tartar sauce? Really good! It wasn't too sour/tangy. We visited twice. Two different stories. The first time, about a month ago, we wanted to eat before a show at the Civic Center. We arrived in plenty of time, but no one seated us. The bar tender looked directly at us several times but didn't even acknowledge us. After waiting 15 minutes, we left and went elsewhere. The second time was just a few days ago. We tried it again. We were seated immediately, and our server was very courteous and prompt. The pizza was very good, and the burger and fries were excellent. Our server returned to ensure everything was OK and to refill our drinks. The decor and atmosphere are great. The only reason it's not five stars is the experience we had the first time. read more

The restaurant itself is pretty cool looking inside, but unfortunately the food and service doesn't match. We were seated fairly quickly, but when we ordered drinks it took awhile to get them. They were okay but without a lot of flavor. After ordering food, it took over 30 minutes to get that as we watched tables that had been seated after us being served their meals first. When the food arrived, my burger was overcooked and the fries were soggy and just warm. My husband's salmon was pretty good, although the rice was soggy, and a very small portion for the price. I go to Hoops and it's an armpit. So I end up going to the Pere Marquette to grab a drink. There were a ton of buses and people in town and they close up. We tried this place twice - for dinner and for breakfast the following morning. Both times we were 2/6-8 people in the whole establishment. You would think this place was packed to the brim with the lack of urgency or care. Between missing items and extreme delays, we not only had to adjust our schedule, but what we were planning on getting. Oh, and on that topic- every menu online is completely different than what is presented there. If you're specifically going for a particular item, might as well call ahead. Even with the convenience of it being attached to the hotel we're staying at for the week, we will now be paying to leave our parking garage and going a few miles out to try other places instead. Totally bummed this was not as expected. It was a big factor for our stay. read more

My Family and I enjoyed Sunday Brunch. innovative menu's Great beer selection and good customer service

My family had reservations before a concert. We stopped in well before the reservation to verify we were good with the time. We arrived at the restaurant to multiple tables walking out saying they have been sitting for over an hour and didn't even receive a water. The hostess was very rude about the situation and even stated that people shouldn't be mad and should feel bad for her because she had to wait tables. I then spoke with the hostess who said they were behind but could accommodate us (Every other restaurant at this point was booked out until a few hours later). We waited 15 min just to get a drink. Then we were told there was no way to could serve us food and get it at a decent time. Therefore, we had to go to the concert without eating (Mind you I have my 7 & 9 year old girls that we promised a special "big girl" dinner with before the concert). After the concert, around 10:00pm, we went back to the restaurant as it was open to see if we could get something to eat as we hadn't eaten all day. The waitress was very rude and told us to order quickly because they wanted to go home. She made us pay the bill before we even received out food. My wife and daughters ordered full Meal Salads which were about $13 each. The waitress brought a side salad sized plate with literally lettuce and a few tomatoes on top. If they would allow me to leave a comment without stars, I would be at minus 1. 10 minutes after I seated myself the "waitress" made an appearance. I ordered two eggs, sausage and white toast that comes with juice and coffee. At that time I told her I was in a hurry. 5 minutes later, she brought creamer. 5 more minutes passed before she brought the coffee and explained that the OJ was unavailable before telling the next table there was only enough OJ for the screwdrivers. 20 minutes later, she brought my friend two orders of French toast. His wife did not get her waffle and I did not get my eggs. The kitchen helper asked what we had ordered. When it became apparent that my order had not even been entered, I left. I was told that it never got any better. The food I saw was all that arrived. And, they still thought we owed $20 . read more

We had dinner and breakfast here. For dinner we had the salmon which was perfectly cooked crispy on the outside and soft and flaky on the inside. We also got the steak frites. Reservations made a over week ahead of time and show up and they inform us they don't take reservations on weekends and that the online reservation system need to be fixed, so patron beware. I had really high hopes for this place. The tap list was amazing. It had just opened two weeks prior I was told and we went before a concert which was a real test run. Place was so packed it was insane, but I expected that. The worst part of all was they had one bartender working the bar. We had our company Christmas party at Craft 309 this past weekend. The food and service were excellent. We had a private room which worked out perfectly. From the moment we walked in we were attended to by both our server, the manager and server assistant. The chef also came out and explained some of the entrees, brought us some samples of their newest pizza selection and showed a level of engagement that you don't normally experience at a lot of restaurants. I felt the pricing was more than fair and the food exceeded expectations. Our whole group was quite pleased and would highly recommend visting this establishment when you can. read more

We spent several nights at the adjacent hotel for a conference. Meals were included so it wasn't until Saturday morning when we had the opportunity to eat at Craft 309. Truth be told we did not hear great reviews, but in our usual style had to try it out for ourselves. The ambiance is perfect farm style which lends itself to a great breakfast atmosphere. We were seated by who I assume is the manager. Our waitress greeted us immediately with piping hot coffee and water. She was very pleasant and added to our experience. We ordered the Western Omelet which was cooked perfectly! The side of potatoes were crisped to a golden brown and the plate was completed by roasted tomatoes. The portions are generous! This had to be the worst meal I have had at a restaurant in a real long time. I ordered the Popeyes 13 - the spinach wasn't the freshest, the strawberries were kind of bruised but not tasty at all. Worst of all was the pork belly - my mistake, I assumed this was bacon. No, it was fatty and porky. Smelled heavy (and just nasty- I cannot get that smell out of my mind). There was no dressing. I ordered chicken add-on (not realizing I was getting a boatload of pork - totally on me). I was charged an extra $4 - but there was no chicken anywhere. I did not care. I could not get out of there fast enough. My server was pleasant - I have nothing bad to say about the service. The food, however, was two thumbs down. If I had more thumbs, those would be pointing down also. There are no other restaurants open on Sunday in downtown Peoria. You're better off skipping that meal (rather than having it here). This was an awful experience. We were staying at the connecting hotel and the place looked cute. We tried to order the Traveling Mule and were told it doesn't really exist so we asked for plain Moscow Mules. The server comes back and says they're out of ginger beer. So we ordered Electric Lemonades (which it said was vodka lemonades). She brought them out and they were blue and overly sweet. We asked for plain vodka lemonades. She brought back the same blue drinks and said the bartender "added something". We sent them back again and asked for vodka lemonade again. We placed our food order and were told they're out of fries so we asked for sweet potato fries. The cheese curds we ordered with a "tangy red sauce" were really just mozzarella sticks with marinara. The sweet potato fries were over crispy and had sugar on them. The chicken sandwich was missing the aioli. We never got our vodka lemonades and had to go up to the front to ask for our bill and ask that they remove the drinks because our server never came back. Cool, classy decor. Service was decent. Brought things to the table one at a time though which was odd. And took 10min to bring bottled beers and water. They didn't have any draft beers (lines down) and also didn't have the 2 bottled beers I requested from the menu. Coleslaw comes with the sandwiches and it wasn't brought to the table until asked. There weren't any bottles of ketchup in the whole place apparently either. I will say, the food was very good. Recommend the cast iron fries and the honey bourbon chicken sandwich. This place has to be the worst dining experience I've ever seen. Top to bottom an absolute disaster. Have reservations before a show in town we just drove 3.5 hours for. Immediately upon entering there's a line of 10 people, every table is empty, and no one at the host stand. Someone walks up 10 minutes later and shouts its a 30 min wait to be seated, and no reservations will be honored. We get sat 25 min after out reservation time was, and order quickly. 2 drinks take 25 minutes. Eventually walk to the bar and ask our server for them assuming they may have just forgotten, but they were standing there with half made cocktails saying they were working on it. They came about 5 minutes later and tasted how a drink that had sat on ice for 30 minutes would taste, not great. A half hour later they came to let us know they hadn't started our food yet and it's gonna take a bit longer. I applaud them for being proactive as it was over an hour as this point, and it seems they figured out we had a show to make it to. We informed them we didn't have another 30 minutes to wait and they said they'd bring ou5 check. The manager Chris was very kind and felt bad about the situation, and I had to ask them to make us the quickest item they could so we weren't starving through a 3 hour show (which we ended up late to). Overall this place had 2 hours of our time and was barely able to make us 2 drinks. It was truly puzzling. They explained that reservations aren't honored on weekends, but the management won't turn off the portal, so people like myself will continue to be screwed over. Wouldn't recommend even attempting a trip here if you had anything to do the rest of your day or find bad service in an empty restaurant confusing. read more

It was just an unfortunate experience on many levels. My guest I was eating with had a burger. The only good thing from our meal. I started with the French onion soup. Less than average. For my meal, I was between 2 wraps and ended up going with the chicken bacon and ranch wrap. Per the waitress's suggestion as it was her "favorite" item on the menu. It tasted bad. Just not good at all. The chicken was grey in color and almost felt like it was thrown together from scraps in the kitchen So, I did something I never do. I sent it back and ordered something else. When I told the waitress that I was sorry for the inconvenience, and placed my new order, she said "don't worry, it's not a big deal, people send it back all the time" (huh?!?!) I ordered the margarita flatbread, which I can't leave a review on, as she brought me the caprese salad appetizer. This was also just fine, and even though not what I wanted, I still ate it and said nothing because I could not wait for another meal to come as I was starving and would have been late for my meeting and needed to just leave. Added bonus. I stayed at the adjoining hotel where my reservation gave me free breakfast starting at 6:30a. Walked down at 7:30 and the restaurant wasn't open yet. The chef came out to tell the 10 hotel guests that were waiting that no servers showed up and they were hoping someone would get there soon, so they can open at around 8:30 read more
