Chicken Strips

Okay so this place is not that bad. I'm gonna go ahead and say that the basic hamburger is not so different from In-N-Outs and I swear they must use the same vendor for the lettuce. The fries are okay. I definitely tastes like the reuse the frying oil for chicken tenders, fries, and onion rings. I definitely would come back again but it can be pricey: $4 for fries and almost $7 for just the burger. You should try it at least once but if you want In-N-out, just go there instead.

Double Wedge ($6.48) Produce was fresh, but patties needed seasoning)

My golf buddies and I got take out from Wedge in CM, bc the one who lives in CM said Wedge is like In-N-Out, w/o the long lines. In addition, Wedge has boysenberry shakes, and actually has a Flying Dutchman on the menu (burger w/ two thick slices of onion for the bun). The double cheeseburger looked good before I bit into it. However, it was pretty bland, and could have used at a minimum some S & P. On the other hand, the produce was fresh, and included a thick slice of onion. Secondarily, the fries & rings were pretty good (not pictured). Its nice to have rings vs the competition. My friend who picked up said he phoned the order in, and it was ready as promised when he arrived. He said the inside was old skool, and the staff were nice. I wouldn't go out of my way to go to Wedge. Nonetheless, if you are in the area, its a nice alternative. They have more options vs the comp, the prices are reasonable, and there are no long lines.

Love their Spicy Chicken!

Delicious homestyle burger. Healthy and not greasy like most fast foods. So fresh. They cooked the meat and the chicken while we're there.

The GROM Mason the Old Dog and the owner. Love this place

Old School Costa Mesa Burger Spot for the locals. My son and I go here all the time the Burgers are good and everyone there is super cool. They have been around for a long time and they do a solid job. Take it from third generation Eastside Costa Mesa. Love this place.

Their veggie burger is not vegan so there is no burger for those who are planted based.

Excellent breakfast spot in Costa Mesa…read more We stopped by this morning around 9:45 am - parking was tight but we found a spot, and there was a 30 minute wait so we sat on the patio and ordered our food and drinks. My matcha latte was excellent, and the Hot Chick Benedict (a new addition to the menu) was tasty and filling. My friends enjoyed their food too. Bill for 5 people (before tax and tip) was $110. Happy to return.

What I Love: * Unique Flavors: The food tastes great and they have some really unique touches. I love that they serve raspberry jam with their toast--it's a nice change from the standard grape or strawberry. * Homemade Quality: It's really cool that they do their own house-made potatoes and even their own homemade ketchup. You can tell they put effort into the details. The Drawbacks: * Pricing & Fees: I'd give this 4.5 stars if I could, but I'm sticking with 4 because it's definitely on the pricey side. What really bugs me is seeing a mandatory tip/service charge for certain group sizes on the receipt. Between the expensive menu and the fact that they are constantly busy with plenty of business, it feels like price gouging. * Parking: The parking lot is very small, so be prepared for a bit of a struggle to find a spot, especially since they are always packed. Final Thoughts: The food and unique house-made items keep me coming back, but be prepared for a high bill and a tight parking situation.

Was visiting Newport Beach and saw the strong reviews for Bayshore Lounge, so we decided to stop by…read morefor dinner. The reviews were definitely accurate. We ordered the combo kabob plate, the Bayshore pizza, and finished with baklava. The combo plate was much larger in person than expected and could easily feed two people, but we were hungry and wanted to try the pizza as well. The meats were seasoned very well and extremely juicy. The chicken was tender and flavorful, and the beef kabob was soft enough to almost melt in your mouth. The Bayshore pizza was more of a pan-style pizza with a unique cheese blend instead of traditional mozzarella. Make sure to ask for the pizza dip too, it has a tangy flavor that pairs really well with it. The warm baklava filled with pistachios was a great dessert to finish the meal. Service was friendly throughout the visit, and I appreciated that the restaurant cooks without seed oils because the meal did not feel overly heavy afterward. The interior is upscale and cozy with fresh flowers on each table, and the atmosphere feels great for both casual dinners and events. They also offer catering and private parties, which made me consider coming back for a graduation event in the future. The kabobs are definitely the highlight and are worth trying.

Absolutely delicious--hands down some of the best kabobs I've had in a long time. The chicken kabob…read morewas incredibly tender and packed with flavor, basted in a butter glaze that elevates the standard grilled chicken. It's clearly marinated with care and grilled to juicy perfection. Every bite was moist, aromatic, and beautifully seasoned all the way through. The beef kabob was just as impressive--rich, juicy, and melt-in-your-mouth tender with that perfect char from the grill. You could really taste the quality of the meat and the balance of spices without anything being overpowering. The saffron rice was fluffy and aromatic. It also comes with a mixed salad. Not the usual balsamic dressing but a creamy herb infused dressing coating every leaf. Together, these kabobs were a knockout: bold flavors, perfect texture, and cooked exactly right. If you're looking for kabobs that are juicy, flavorful, and truly satisfying, this is the place. I'd come back for these alone. I forgot to mention they are dog friendly on the patio. DJ music on Saturday nights and fire tables with couches.

It's not very often that I say this but I'm going to say it now. I may have had one of the top…read moredining experiences of my life. And it came from a breakfast joint, which is super rare in and of itself. Having lived in Southern California for many many years, I thought I had seen and experienced just about everything in the way of good places to eat. As I was driving around looking for some breakfast, I stumbled across oeb breakfast. And I am so glad I did. For starters, when you walk through the door, the place is bright and Cherry and has just the right amount of whimsy. It's neatly laid out and everything is in full view. It only took a moment my server to come get me at the front and direct me to a table. Let's talk about the service. Having been in the food service industry, I know what it takes to have a great dining experience. Caesar, who was my waiter, took care of me in a level that I have not seen in a very long time. Personable, gracious, accommodating, and helpful are just a few of the words I would use to describe my experience being served by him. I asked for coffee and water and within moments it arrived on my table. Side note, the coffee is off the chain! It is a brand called Umbria and it is amazing. After scanning the menu, I opted for the beef bulldogi Benedict with the beef Tallow fries. I asked for the fries extra crispy, and ask for my milk to be served with breakfast. If you've read any of my Yelp reviews on breakfast places, you know that that is one of my litmus tests for the accuracy of the order. If I have to ask for my milk after the meal's been delivered, they're not doing their job. Not that I'm picky, for me. It is just a way to determine how good of a listener the server actually is. It didn't take long at all for the food to be delivered. The presentation was absolutely amazing, as we eat with our eyes. First, I have to say that the way the food was plated was definitely a work of art. Once the food was dropped off half of me was going. I wonder if they will remember... And before I could finish my thought Caesar showed back up with the milk. Home run! The food itself was absolutely wonderful, I cannot remember when I have enjoyed a breakfast as much as this one. All the flavors were there, it was perfectly balanced, and was just a pleasant dining experience overall. Bragging on Caesar again, as I was sitting there, the restaurant started to get very busy, he handled himself with such Grace and poise and didn't let the mounting tension frazzle him. Again, I wish this place was in my hometown so I could come here more often, but you can bet that I will be back here multiple times. Bottom line? There aren't many places that I would tell friends they definitely absolutely had to go to. But oeb breakfast is now on the top of the list for me to recommend to my friends.

(Did not take a picture of it) Korean Bulgogi Benedict: 7/10 Some parts of the meat wasn't fully marinated from what I tasted. Some of my bites of the meat were flavorful. A little weird to have 2 pieces of spinach as a garnish. Never seen that before. Potatoes were really good. Can't go wrong with those. Short Rib bowl: 8/10 everything in that bowl were amazing together. Banana Cream Pie French Toast: 4/10 this was a miss for me. Nothing amazing about it. The custard part was off for me. Maybe if it was more of a banana pudding, it would be better with the cream. Didn't really taste like a banana cream pie. Green Machine: 10/10! So good and refreshing Chocolate Milk: needed more chocolate. They gave us a cup with it 1/4 filled because they ran out of milk since it was so busy and never came back with more. I didn't want to bother them and ask them about it, but checked the bill and they only charged us half for it... so we just paid for it and left it as is.
