I used to live in Albuquerque during my teen years and really love the food this city has to offer so full of flavor and heat thanks to the Hatch chile, best in the world. We were visiting family during Thanksgiving and came here for breakfast on Black Friday. The place was packed and only about a ten minute wait. This place is great, the food is spicy, huge portions and the service was excellent. We both ordered plate size Papas Carne Adovada (he had his eggs on the side). Our meals came out on hot plates... hash browns topped with carne adovada topped with two eggs.The portions are so huge we could have ordered one meal and still had walked away fully stuffed. Carne Adovada is really huge in Albuquerque - not so much in Tucson which is unfortunate. Oh well gives us something to look forward to on our next visit to Albuquerque. read more

We stopped for breakfast on the recommendation of an acquaintance. We were certainly not disappointed! Upon entering we noticed a pleasant atmosphere and were immediately greeted by a friendly hostess. Once seated the fantastic and friendly service continued. We shared a delicious omelette with toast and hash browns. Plenty of food, though I have to say the waffles and French toast looked awfully good, too! Maybe next time; as I am sure we will return. This establishment deserves every single star everything you could ask for in a great dinning experience you can get at this location our customer service was excellent with great communication our server was on top of everything super friendly very helpful and such a delight the food was amazingly prepared so fast so fresh so delicious not one single person left without being fully satisfied they were excellent on accommodating our group with moving tables and chairs to make sure everybody was comfortable now I normally try to wait on posting a review until I've had at least two visits but there food and customer service deserves it now and we will definitely be returning next time we're back in town read more

Amazing food and service. Huge portion sizes! I got the Chicken breakfast burrito smothered in red chili sauce with the green chili sauce on side with side of sour cream. The sauces can be combined on the plate but I went separate so not too spicy. Definitely hit the spot and was just the right amount of kick! Dish was very flavorful and would highly recommend. The cinnamon roll was warm and fresh and easily split among 5 of us. We got cool to go cups that had balloon festival logo! Our server was wonderful and really took the time to make sure we had a great experience. Highly recommend eating here! A family favorite, we often go for "weckfast" on a Sunday or Saturday morning. We love Patricia and her service. We will always wait longer to sit in her section. The food is always wonderful, large portions, great service. It is very popular, so getting there early is a must. You can also call in an order to go. We do that if Patricia isn't there. I usually order a papa's bowl, but sometimes I have other items. Get them to heat up a cinnamon roll for you before you get your regular order. It's large enough to share. Before leaving Albuquerque met up with my friends this is their favorite place it's normal diner food I was going to get the waffles I closed the menu and I saw this pineapple pancake I don't really like pancakes cuz a to doughy but something about it I just had to have it and boy sure glad I did the first bite brought me back to where I was a little kid my grandma used to make pineapple upside-down cake this literally tastes the same crispy on the outside and that pineapple on the inside all I needed was a cherry and it would have been perfect but I want to drive back there just for that pancake I figured out how to make it myself if you get one thing there has to be that service was great she knew my friends so everything was on top notch I will gladly go back there anytime read more

Great New Mexican breakfast. I have to say I've never had a breakfast appetizer before, but we did just that. We had one of their cinnamon roles and it was terrific, although it contributed to me not finishing my breakfast. My wife had the small Veggie Papas with Red Chill sauce and I had the Sausage and bacon version with Sausage Gravy. Both had eggs sunny side up. I've never had Papas before, but i can tell you I will eat it again. If you're in Albuquerque try a Weck's - they are a local chain from what I can tell, but they are very good for a hearty breakfast! Hands down the best breakfast in the City. My father and I stopped in after an appointment and it was packed! But if your a local you already know why. First off they are only open until 2pm but with a menu and service this top notch you don't need to be open any longer baha It was busy but we were seated within minutes. My Dad hadnt been here in quite a while he said. He forgot about the portions. That omelette he ordered was the size of a small newborn I kid you not. Get that thing smothered Christmas style you won't be disappointed. I got a short stack which is only two cakes and that was more than enough. Got my order wrong, I think I ordered something I didn't like anyways lol, My girlfriend asked for sourdough bread and she brought wheat bread. I ordered the New Mexico Benedict I don't recommend it l, their chili was lacking Had the red and the green... My orange juice tasted somehow tainted maybe a dirty glass not sure. Wasn't particularly happy with my visit and to top it off as I went out to my car they ran after me and said I didn't pay lol I had paid using the QR code on my receipt and my payment was successfully processed (I checked my bank account) It was early on a Friday morning maybe they didn't exactly have the a team on staff haha oh well (what a shitshow) I will be finding a more local establishment for breakfast next time. :) read more

My wife and I started going to Weck's when we moved to Rio Rancho from California 17 years ago. The first time we went we had about a 30 minute wait. We took that as a good sign and it was. The food was excellent and still is. The employees are always friendly. It does not matter which location you go to. The food and service are the same high quality. When we have visitors from out of state we always take them to Weck's for breakfast. Every time they come back the first thing they want to know is when are we going to Weck's. Tried to order some lettuce, tomato and onions To help add some flavor to the plate but this restaurant charges over two dollars for lettuce, tomato and onions as a side. Never really been to a restaurant that charges for lettuce, tomato and onions especially since the plate itself was over $15 for hashbrowns gravy and a chicken fried steak.
