Breakfast

Fantastic place for breakfast! Service is great and friendly! Very clean! Only tables and chairs no booths! Really enjoyed something different!

I had the value menu with crispy chicken salad ranch dressing, and comes with a drink, it was very good. I had good service. The waitress was so nice she bring me out some more ranch dressing for my salad. She refilled my two drinks.

Old school diner with a mix of local college and 50's memorability. It's a local chain restaurant but has a family owned business feel. Try the red and green chili mixed (aka Christmas). My wife loves the potato bowls and it's the Benedict for me. Good service with friendly staff make this place one to visit everytime I'm in town.

This place was pretty good! The Fam Bam met here for brunch on the last day of my stay. There were 8 of us. This must be popular because by the time we left the place was packed! I had the chicken & waffles. Hey.... you can't go wrong with a waffle. And that syrup was pretty tasty. I usually prefer chicken wings with my waffles, but the strips were okay as well. I couldn't tell you what everybody else had, but I can tell you that nobody complained. My Mom loved her omlet. She's been here before and that's her go to! Oh, and the coffee is GREAT! I was surprised as diner coffee generally lacks strength. That was not the case here. The place is clean, the staff is friendly, and the manager even came by to ask us how we enjoyed out meal. I'll be back the next time I'm in ABQ.

Overall I give this place a 3/5. It's not the best food it's definitely mid. You can get better food elsewhere . And the price was expensive for the quality. Rather spend $17 for something that taste better. The service was also not the best. I did a pick up order and the girl at the front had a shitty attitude. Wouldn't come back again. Look somewhere else to eat.

Sunday morning and facing the usual where do we eat dilemma. So a relatively new Weck's by the house is a good choice (I was told it's actually been here for 3 years). Not many cars in the parking lot this early on a Sunday morning so no wait. Drinks arrived promptly and orders placed. A 3-Egg with ham and cheese and a Farmer's Market Omelets. For those unfamiliar with Weck's their Belly Busters are just that - a lot of food. As the store filled up the staff didn't miss a neat, the managers hit the floor keeping the coffee and other drinks flowing, while the servers did their jobs. Relaxing atmosphere, good food & great service - what's not to love?

Weck Deck Sandwich

This is supposed to be a club sandwich. It not only looks sad but tastes sad. I had this last year and was craving it. Won't be eating there again. They messed up the order as well. Person on phone was super friendly.

Craving breakfast and this place was highly recommended. Ordered to food over the phone to go. Girl over the phone said 15 minutes. So I show up park and wait till the 15 minutes was up and went inside. The girl at the front was very nice. I got the papas breakfast plate with two over medium eggs. Eggs cooked perfectly green and red chili are both good. And such a really large portion that it could feed three people. And for my son I got the kids pancakes. When I tell you that my son got the biggest pancakes I've ever seen here. He was so happy. They came with a side of fresh fruit and whipped cream. I was not expecting that so when I opened the two small containers I was happy to see that they were included. We didn't order any drinks so I can't review those.

We love Wecks. We arrange our travel thru ABQ to have this breakfast ! Eggs bacon with green hatch chili salsa.

First class food and service at both locations we have tried at different times of year. Amazing chili salsa and bacon egg breakfast with hot hood coffee. We return every time we are thru ABQ. Don't worry it's clean and has good distancing

It's always Christmas year round at Weck;s! Delicious food served by courteous staff. Mid week breakfast @ Weck's on Albuquerque's Westside was simply amazing. The restaurant is exercising excellent enforcement of the mask mandates in place by state and local officials. Greeted quickly and friendly by the hostess and seated promptly. Server was quick to take drink order and returned quickly. Restaurant was clean throughout and tables were spread out to enforce the 6' social distancing. Ordered the Papas breakfast bowl with Carnitas (Marinated Pork in Red Chile over hash browns cover in Red and Green Chile). The meal was delivered quickly and the food was fantastic. It was served with a flour tortilla on the side. Flavors were just simply spot on! If you can't take spicy food you might want to avoid this dish as it is rich and intense with the flavors of the Southwest. I requested my egg Sunny-side up and. It was cooked perfectly. Met the manager on the way out of the restaurant and she was genuinely engaging in asking about our dining experience. Overall this is a top rated breakfast and lunch eatery. Definitely recommended and we will return soon..

New Mexico Eggs Benedict

A colleague recommended Weck's when he learned that we were coming into town for the Balloon Fiesta, and wanted the name of some local favorites. Weck's did not disappoint. Here is what we liked: - Great service. Coffee and water refills kept coming. - Great, locally inspired food. I ordered the New Mexican Eggs Benedict with red and green chili sauce and my wife ordered The Spicy Carne Adovado Burrito (with only cheddar instead of the pepper jack, and with the chili sauce on the side). We both asked for the hash browns to be extra crispy, and they were really crunchy on the top and juicy inside. The portions were massive and the food was really tasty. - The atmosphere was retro diner...fun and relaxing. Bottom line: Excellent breakfast, casual atmosphere, good service...we'd come back when in the area again.

I wish they had a better estimation system because it left us feeling underwhelmed. Being HANGRY with two young kids is not fun. The food: Kid's pancakes They were just okay. Nothing special. My 5 year old son ate the fruit (a piece of strawberry and a grape cut in halves) and bacon. Only a few of the pancakes were eaten. I tasted it myself and didn't care for it. Kid's waffles These were a winner!! The waffles were fluffy and yummy! We asked for fruit instead of the eggs since my daughter doesn't like eggs. I can confirm that these were legit waffles, because what kind of a parent would I be if I didn't do a food quality test? Crab cake benedict This was the highlight of the entire family order!! My husband is a super picky eater. With that said, this dish did not disappoint. Was it worth waiting 80 minutes for? Probably not. Would it have been worth waiting 40 minutes for? Absolutely! The eggs were cooked to perfection! The crab cake was plentiful and full of delicious flavor. The potatoes were the weak link on the plate. They could have used more seasoning. Bacon Avocado Scramble It was average without the green chili sauce. Once I added that delicious sauce, it saved the meal. I was already hungry and disgruntled from having to wait so long that my first bite without the sauce made me immediately regret sticking out the long wait. Once that sauce was added, it made me feel less jaded. The potatoes could have used more flavor. Unsweetened peach tea Great flavor! The peach didn't have an overly artificial taste. The tea strength was perfect. Coffee Excellent bold flavor. Not overpoweringly strong. Just right. The service: The service was good given how busy it was. The waitress was friendly and attentive. Refills were offered. Plates were cleared promptly. We didn't feel rushed. Overall experience: It was a good dining experience. It wasn't worth waiting 80 minutes. We would have picked a different restaurant if they had been more accurate and transparent about the wait time. I would say the food is slightly above average, but definitely not one of those places where people should waste an hour and a half of their day waiting for. If we are in the area again, we MIGHT give it another shot. Added note: The 4 seater table felt super crowded due to all of the items on the center of the table. There was a flower vase, a basket of sugars, a bowl of creamer, a bottle of salsa, salt and pepper shakers, a basket of jelly, and a little advertisement stand. With the pitcher of water and the coffee pot added to the mix, , it made it uncomfortable and claustrophobic.

The parking is a bit crazy, they do have someone trying to help direct traffic through the parking lot. If you don't want to brave that though, there's plenty of street parking. It's busy but there's a lot of indoor and outdoor seating and the turnover pace is pretty good. Things can be a bit loud if you hit the crowded times, but really it's a popular spot for good reason. I got the sweet potato hash and it had the perfect mix of veggies and eggs and was cooked just right. I also tried one of their tea blends and it really hit the spot. The staff is all very friendly and helpful as well and the food comes out quickly. Anyway, great experience as always at the Grove!

It has a modern, bright, aesthetic vibe with marble-style tables, clean decor, and a great atmosphere to sit and hang out. Visually, it checks all the boxes for a trendy brunch spot. The staff were very kind and went out of their way to be helpful and attentive to all guests. Unfortunately, the food and value simply don't match the ambiance. We ordered two straightforward breakfast plates and iced coffees, and the bill came out to around $40--which feels way too expensive for what actually ends up on your plate. The first dish was a basic breakfast sandwich on an English muffin served with a small side ramekin of kale salad. While the presentation was neat, the sandwich itself was fairly standard and underwhelming for the price tag. The second plate was a traditional breakfast layout featuring scrambled eggs, toast, bacon, jam, and the same small kale side. The eggs were cooked fine and the bacon was crisp, but there was nothing unique or memorable about the flavors to justify charging high-end prices for staple breakfast ingredients.  All in all, while the aesthetic and atmosphere are definitely inviting, paying $40 for two plain breakfast plates leaves a sour taste. If you're looking for an impressive food experience to match the high price point, you might end up

While the wait to order and get a table was lengthy, it was absolutely worth it! We ordered the huevos rancheros and blue corn lemon pancakes, and both were fantastic. The huevos rancheros featured traditional New Mexico red chile alongside a delicious tomatillo salsa, offering a great combination of flavors. The blue corn lemon pancakes were equally impressive, topped with the most amazing lemon curd, whipped cream, and fresh fruit. For drinks, we had a honey latte and a double espresso, both of which were strong, flavorful, and well worth ordering. The place is a bit cozy, but not too cramped. However, if you're wanting someplace more private, look elsewhere. Despite the long wait, the friendly welcome and outstanding food made this a great experience. For our meal, we ordered two Chicken & Waffles plates, a Blue Corn Lavender Waffle, and a kids' plate. The Chicken & Waffles were the highlight of the meal, offering a satisfying balance of sweet and savory flavors. The Blue Corn Lavender Waffle was a unique touch and a fun way to try something distinctly New Mexican. Neither my wife nor I cared for the drip coffee, so we asked a staff member if we could swap it out for double espressos. They were happy to accommodate us, and the espresso was a significant improvement. The service was friendly, and the staff made a positive first impression from the phone call all the way through our visit. For our family, the total came to about $80, which felt a little steep. We ended up eating inside since the patio tables were either occupied or unavailable (due to a sleeping homeless person). The restaurant is housed in a renovated older home, and they've done a nice job making the most of the space. One of my favorite touches was the collection of retro waffle makers displayed along the walls, which added a fun, nostalgic charm to the atmosphere. Overall, it was a pleasant experience, and I'd happily return to explore more of the menu.

The blue corn is just a tinge sweet so was an interesting mix. The waffle is a decent size but is super filling and dense. I'll have to try some sweet waffles or some different waffle bases next time! That said there are lots of gluten free options as well, so if that's for you, then don't hesitate to come check it out you won't be disappointed. There is indoor and outdoor seating, though in general the place is small-ish and can get crowded during busy times. Parking is also a bit of an adventure, but so is anywhere in that area.
