    "Big Pig" omelet

Another outlet of the great Weck's local chain: you're going to have pro-level efficient service and you're going to have a table-visit from a manager who makes sure everything is okay. The food is going to be solidly good with a notable willingness to customize sides to your preferences and you're going to get a decent portion for your money. As everywhere, prices have gone up - what are you gonna do? The rooms are large and clattery, with happy groups gathering to eat and servers bustling all over everywhere. The back room in this particular outlet is kinda on the crowded side, but there's often a wait at peak times (Weck's is well regarded by locals), so you're just happy to get seated. There is a small menu for those on low-carb/keto and other diets, but it's super-easy to customize one of the regular dishes (a 4-egg omelet, for instance, can easily sub tomatoes or beans for the usual hash browns and the usual toast can become a low carb or corn tortilla). Red chile is from powder, not pods - it's fine, but this isn't a place my wife or I usually get it; the green is better.

Weck's is an Albuquerque classic. Any stop to Albuquerque wouldn't be complete without brunch at Weck's. Per usual, I went for the Papas which were fantastic and the service was beyond great. We got seated quickly and everything went without a hitch to start our holiday!

Large pancake subbed for tortilla. About $2.00 more and worth every penny. Yum!

Weck's has terrific food and great service. I took my son for breakfast around 8:30 on a Sunday morning and we got right in which was impressive. The atmosphere was positive and chatty with patrons seemingly happy. My son ordered the waffle combination and he loved the waffle and bacon. I ordered a bowl of papas with red and an egg on top. I ordered the egg over medium. It was a tad undercooked for me but still tasty. I also upgraded for a pancake instead of tortilla. The pancake was delicious also. The coffee was fresh and hot. We had a terrific breakfast. Chaz is my absolute favorite server. Cheers!

Well, we love breakfast and we have been coming to Weck's on Juan Tabo for a while. Just today I realized I have not left a review, so here it goes. The place holds a lot of people and it still gets packed and busy from opening to closing. Good natural light. Modern quirky decor. Always clean. Service is always excellent and blazing fast. And the food is to die for! If you're new to this place, be mindful of the portions. They are big! Which is convenient when you're very hungry or get half of it yo go. My favorite dish is the New Mexican Benedict with red and green chile. This is a very filling dish with perfectly poached eggs, juicy carnitas, great sauces, and crispy hash browns. Today, we got a nice addition with the strawberry lemonade with real strawberries. Even though Weck's has multiple locations, this is our favorite. Needless to say, we will keep coming back

Special that had all meats with hash, toast, and eggs.

Service was great! Our waitress, Barbara, took care of us and made sure we had all the things we needed at our table. It was definitely a lot of food but that kept us full for our road trip home and we had leftovers! My family also had a sausage and biscuit plate and on the meat plate they had a choice of tortilla, half waffle iron toast of all kinds! Overall this was a great establishment and it had been awhile since we had eaten at Weck's. The restaurant was clean and restrooms were kept clean as well. We were seated within 5 minutes and service was quick. When we asked first to go cups for our beverages and food, Beverly was on it and brought us what we needed.

Great food - although I have much difficulty with when we appropriate , especially when it comes to food, the wait staff was wonderful and they do a great job making one feel welcome. And the food is delicious I had the Original Papa Plate one visit And biscuits and gravy (although there could be one more link sausage on the plate)! The ambiance was warm and friendly

    HIGH DESERT EGG WHITE OMELET
    Christopher A.

Wecks is a staple in town everyone knows that. However, I went to the Juan Tabo location in Saturday for breakfast and I was pleasantly surprised with their new fit menu. They have some new low carb options for people carb counting or on KETO. I had the high desert egg white omelet with some fruit and it was very satisfying. I'm sharing this because I know some of the low carb folks would enjoy this and may be staying away from Wecks while dieting because this place is good but hard to keep carbs low. Of course this place was super busy and it's a pain to find parking and get seated all the usual. So no change to experience here, don't come here if you're in a rush or want to use your phone. They have since kind of signal blocker so you don't get a good cell signal in the building, you'll notice it at some of this other locations as well that you phone stops working when you walk in. Really that's my only gripe with this place is you can't use your phone.

Best breakfast so far. Their service is excellent too. It is super packed and I still got sat in 8 mins. Then ordered in 3. And 3 refills of coffee. Food came out in 5 mins. This place has a good system. The most moist carnitas too. I love the cleanliness here. And the decor of the fully belly is not only a fun design for the entrance but a true statement of how you leave. I had to get half my food to go. Side of bacon honey coated was not crunchy and not soggy. It was perfect. This place has amazing service! Fast friendly and over the top from Katie. She had my coffee topped off 3 times before I even needed to ask. As well as her other 5 tables she was waiting on. If you're looking for a good breakfast place in ABQ I'd give this a shot.

I always get the spinach omelette, although this time with fresh fruit instead. My lunch partner had 2 egg meal with scrambled eggs, bacon, hash browns and English muffins. Our server was Laura and she was wonderful. Juan, the manager checked in on us, and politely opened the front door for us. It was much appreciated. This is my favorite of all the Weck's we have eaten at. Remember they close early at 2pm, so go early.

    Smothered burrito Christmas style
    Hector B.

Another New Mexico tradition for me! Smothered breakfast burrito! Not only does the flavor make your day but fills you until dinner! I always go Christmas, meaning red and green chili! Today I picked the spicy carne adovada. Great! I'm ready to take on my trip to California!

A cup of Florentine tomato soup. Quite tasty!
    Rok J.

Lunch started with the pair of us each getting a cup of their soup of the day, which was an excellently flavored Florentine tomato soup. The inclusion of pasta shells gave it a bit more body than your standard "out of the can" tomato soup. For an entree my lunch partner & I split a beef lunch size quesadilla that was accompanied by chopped lettuce & tomato, a dab of sour cream, and a little bowl of salsa. Quesadilla had beaucoup ground beef in it, making it substantial enough to be a decent amount of food for each of us. The melted cheese layer was pretty thin. Just enough to make it's presence known. Drinks were a glass of water with lemon & a diet soda. I also ordered a brownie, since they had them available, as a treat for later. It was shockingly large!! It measures 6"x4" big and is quite dense. The size makes it look like a small cake unto itself, which it is. At a couple bucks for the mondo brownie, it's a deal of the century contender. Interior of the restaurant was bright from lots of windows & looked clean to me. The plethora of senior citizens dining there during the early half of lunch time serves as a bit of a litmus indicator of the value offered by the Weck's breakfast & lunch gang. Barbara, our waitress, was friendly, outgoing, and diligent in swinging by our table to insure all was going well. A bright, sparkling, yet professional server. 5 stars for her.

Good balance of tuna, celery, and bread ratio, but I didn't dig the olives in it. There's a mini kale salad that comes with entrees, and it was healthy and palatable for kale. We did end up balancing that green with the pistachio cruffin and pistachio chocolate chip cookie. Would definitely go back for the cruffin with its flaky layers and luscious pastry cream. Cookie was less impressive but still worth the impulse buy. Indoor and breezy outdoor seating available. Highly recommend!

The kids are happy, I'm happy, and honestly, that's a successful breakfast in my book. The only downside is the limited seating. It's a smaller location, so it can fill up quickly, especially during the breakfast rush. If you happen to come during a really busy time, you may have to wait a bit to find a table. That said, I don't think it takes away from the experience you just have to time it right. We usually come for breakfast since they're open for breakfast and lunch, and this time I tried the Grande burrito. And let me tell you, "Grande" is not an exaggeration. That is a LOT of food. I got the bacon-smothered burrito with red chile, and it was delicious. Unfortunately, I could not finish it. I do wish there was something between the Grande and Junior because the Grande is a serious commitment, and I'm not sure the Junior would be enough. I'll have to try it next time and find out. My daughter ordered the steak sandwich, which comes with an Angus sirloin steak on Texas toast. It looked a little wild when it came out, but she ate it and said it was delicious, so apparently the presentation was just part of the experience. My son got the sausage, egg and cheese biscuits. He ate the whole thing, so clearly he approved. His only complaint was that the biscuit kept falling apart, but considering he's a little kid, I'm going to blame that one on the user rather than the biscuit. The staff has always been friendly during our visits. On this particular morning, a gentleman came around several times to refill our house coffee, which I always appreciate. Good service and a full coffee cup go a long way. And if you're into pastries and coffee, they have plenty of options. I've tried their blueberry muffin, and it is divine. They also have different baked scones, and I've had their lattes and macchiatos, which have all been really good. I still need to come back during the lunch hours because there are several things I want to try. The hot beef sundae caught my attention, and the Philly also looked really good. There are so many different options that I feel like I could keep coming back and ordering something different every time. This is definitely the kind of place where you can stop in, grab something really good, enjoy a little coffee, and get on with your morning. It's casual, welcoming, and consistently good. Limited seating is really my only complaint. Otherwise, I've been here multiple times and have yet to leave disappointed. Definitely a must-try!

The area looks old and poor, but near the restaurant, we didn't see anything sketchy. When we were leaving, we did see some homeless people at the main intersection, but we didn't see anything we'd describe as sketchy. We did notice there is a mobile home park behind the restaurant, but there is a wall between the mobile home park and the restaurant parking lot. Even if there were police surrounding the mobile home park, we'd still venture inside to eat. The food is that good. We shared the cowboy breakfast burrito and the Santa Fe pancakes. Both were filling and ridiculously good. The Santa Fe pancakes made with blue corn, roasted piñons, green chili, and cheddar jack cheese were different than anything else we've ever had. I'll admit I didn't love my first bite or two, but the more I ate, the more I wanted. The pancakes are dry, but if you drizzle some syrup, it's the perfect match. The accompanying eggs and bacon were cooked perfectly. The cowboy breakfast burrito is massive, filling, and worth every calorie. Even though we were stuffed, we had to get the peach with green chile turnover. We asked if the turnover is served warm and our waitress replied that she could warm it up for is. I'm not sure that it is normally served warm, but I highly recommend it. The turnover flaky, the glaze was silky once warmed up and the peach with green chile was unique and delicious. Five star service and food. I highly recommend Vick's Vittles and hope that I'm in the area again so I can try more of this delicious food.

For our meal, we ordered two Chicken & Waffles plates, a Blue Corn Lavender Waffle, and a kids' plate. The Chicken & Waffles were the highlight of the meal, offering a satisfying balance of sweet and savory flavors. The Blue Corn Lavender Waffle was a unique touch and a fun way to try something distinctly New Mexican. Neither my wife nor I cared for the drip coffee, so we asked a staff member if we could swap it out for double espressos. They were happy to accommodate us, and the espresso was a significant improvement. The service was friendly, and the staff made a positive first impression from the phone call all the way through our visit. For our family, the total came to about $80, which felt a little steep. We ended up eating inside since the patio tables were either occupied or unavailable (due to a sleeping homeless person). The restaurant is housed in a renovated older home, and they've done a nice job making the most of the space. One of my favorite touches was the collection of retro waffle makers displayed along the walls, which added a fun, nostalgic charm to the atmosphere. Overall, it was a pleasant experience, and I'd happily return to explore more of the menu.

We also ordered French toast with eggs and bacon and a carne adovada omelet with hashbrowns and a pancake, and everyone enjoyed their very large breakfasts. This might be in a relatively unsavory part of town, but it's worth the visit for the good food and good service!

Five stars for the wonderful waitress they have, with so much personality. Zero stars today for the…read morevery poor plate of tacos he/she served me. Boo to the cook. The taco meat had been sitting on the back burner most of the day. I walked in at 1:10 pm and they close at 2 pm. Horrible dried up ground beef. Can't believe I am paying for dried up tacos, and the cook served me just that, instead of making me fresh ground beef. Next the Spanish Rice was also very dry and cold. The cook could not at least get it warmed up, no because it was so dried up rice, warming it up would not work. Very nasty plate I was served. The beans were good, yet they were luke warm. The only thing that was fresh on my plate was the sopaipilla and the guacamole. Otherwise, what a freaking mess I was serviced. I guess I am done with Kap's. Sorry because you all have a wonderful up-front staff. There should be a restaurant rule, that they can't serve food that has been sitting around for more than a hour drying up that should not be served to their visitors.

Oof. Swing and a hard miss for me…read more Ordered: -The Mimosa - waaaaaaaaaay too sweet. I actually couldn't finish it. I had to order a prosecco and combine it with the mimosa because it was way too much super sweet orange juice -The Cajun Lion's Mane - the hollandaise was absolutely way too sour. I mean...it was bad. Like, really bad. Not only was it just awful, but my entire meal was drowning in it. Next, the coconut crusted lion's mane was absolutely inedible. It tasted more like a different part of the lion, if you know what I mean. I just didn't eat it past two bites. The asparagus was inconsistent (some smaller mushy stalks and some large uncooked crunchy stalks). The toast would have been fine but the amount of pesto on it was atrocious. I scraped most of it off...I mean there was a MOUND of it. The egg was fine (opted for regular). All in all it was just a piece of toast with an egg DROWNING in sour vegan hollandaise and pesto with asparagus and an inedible fried mushroom thing. And to say 'thing' is even offensive to 'things.' Upside! The place is cute and the people I went with seemed to really enjoy their meals! So take my review with a grain of salt. Maybe it just wasn't for me?

We were planning on stopping for lunch but heads up they now only serve their pasties, drinks and now burritos. The rest of the menu is gone. So this trip we just stuck to the donuts!
