We've been asking about the uneven floors and gaps on the wall from different companies to see what…read morewas going on with our house. My husband and I are first time homeowner and never knew a lot about these kinds of things. The first consultation from a different company measured the depth difference from each corner and explained that there might be some floors that needed an extra beam and how much it would cost us. Another company came by and checked, and they believed we just needed new floorings. Then, Joseph came by and took a look at our floor and told us the truth. Joseph said that he couldn't really quote us for the job until he really knows what the real issue behind the uneven floors and the gaps on the wall from the floor until we rip open the flooring. He was the only one who explained to us exactly what was happening to our foundation. He was very upfront and detailed about the repairs needed to be done to the foundation. After consulting with multiple people, we knew that Joseph would guide us and help us with the foundation repair with his experience. He was very honest about the condition of the foundation. He suggested to have our foundation repaired right away before the whole house starts coming down and would be a hazard to live in. Luckily, we listened to him and asked him if he could assist us with the foundation repair as soon as possible. We don't really have much, but Joseph was willing to help us to fix our house. After helping us get a loan, they started working on removing the floors right away, only to find out the real cause of the uneven flooring and wall gaps. The wood on our floor was rotting and it was due to a broken pipe, which caused the water leak under our house. We were scared that we weren't able to get this foundation repair done because it would cost more. However, Joseph was there to help us and ensure that we would have our house back to a healthy living status. He did everything that he can to help us get another loan for the pipe replacement in order to complete the foundation repair. After speaking with a few (some never bothered to even return my call) I had a lengthy conversation with Ed Riddle (of Godina Construction). I explained our situation of wanting to have a fence built but we had several issues with noise and vibration on the property we had to contend with. Ed listened and told me he understood. He sent me a quote which was very reasonable and explained how he and his work crew could deal with the issues I presented to him. We had to have a late morning start time, and we had to do most of the work by hand (no heavy loud machinery). My disabled son has noise and vibration sensitivities and can't tolerate loud sounds. Ed and his crew were very respectful and followed our guidelines to the letter. They built us a great fence (totally enclosing our 3.5 acres) and kept us in the loop at all times during the construction.
