Very friendly people and they fought with my insurance company to get what I deserved when the insurance tried to stick me with a crummy used door instead of a new one. read more

Webster is so sweet. I rear-ended a GMC Yukon while lost in Newton/Watertown (see my one-star review of the Sunoco which was mean to me and got me even more lost) and damaged the headlight, grill, front panel and tons of other stuff in my poor Hoobaru. Upon recommendation of two other teachers who'd gotten hit by a dumpster and a plow over winter break, I took my car to Webster Auto Body. Everyone I interacted with was super nice and efficient. They were quick about setting up an appointment and very easy to work with regarding the insurance stuff. They even offered me a ride home after the Hoobaru dropoff. Over a month later ($6100 worth of repairs necessitated this lengthy repair time), Hoobaru looks better than the day I got her! The niceness also continued...they put on my new 2009 Cambridge sticker and removed the old ones for me. I am still so impressed by Hoobaru's shininess that I'll definitely take her back there for car washes! Update (3/7/2009): Hoobaru's check engine light went on last night and she started shaking uncontrollably at random times so I brought her back in. Again, Webster was very kind--they even came back in after closing to help me. read more

Score! Like a fool I was backing out of my garage and broke one of my mirrors one morning on my way to work. I asked a friend and she (and Yelpers) recommended me to Webster's and I called up and spoke to Jerry the owner. He gave me a price for the new mirror and a few days later it was ready to go. He fixed it in about 30mins. How lovely is that? I would totally recommend Jerry for all repairs because he'll give your car the TLC that it needs! Other notes: They accept cc. Jerry is honest, friendly and down to earth. Your car will thank you. read more

Another glowing review, another kudos to Yelp (and Yelpers) for the amazing rec. My wife got into what should have been an inconsequential, extremely low speed collision where she rear ended another car at a stop sign. The problem: we drive an '05 C230 Kompressor which is designed to fall apart on contact. She hit a Murano and the Murano's bumper hit our hood in the perfect spot to basically wipe out the entire front end - bumper, fender, headlight, supercharger, radiator, bells, whistles, everything. The Murano didn't have so much as a scratch on it... We had the car towed to Webster and Billy and his team did a superb job. They worked directly with our insurance (MetLife) the entire time, which required the original appraisal and two adjustments based on additional work that was needed. MetLife even claimed to have sent one of the checks for the additional work directly to me which never happened, and they worked with MetLife to get the payment directly. Over $10k in work and it only cost me the $300 deductible....glad I have good insurance! It took 31 days to get all the parts and appraisals and actually fix the car, but I got back a brand new looking car with an entirely rebuilt front end. I even had my rental car for an additional day over the 30 covered by my insurance, and Billy not only offered to take the rental back to Enterprise but also work with them to make sure I wasn't charged the additional day. And I wasn't. I had one minor problem after a few hours from when I got the car back where it started puttering and the Check Engine light came on, so I called Billy and he told me to bring it back to him even though it was after hours. Of course, by the time I got it to him (after parking the car for about a half hour and restarting) it was in fine working order, so he thought I was crazy. Haven't had a problem since and I've had the car back for about 3 weeks. Really the only thing that could have been a little better was on the communication side. When I first towed it to him, Billy had said it would probably take 3 weeks to fix. I didn't hear back from him at all, so I called after 3 weeks and found out about all the additional work and appraisals and such. Since they kept having to wait for parts, they couldn't give me any indication of when I might get my car back, and they never really bothered to communicate any of the updates with me along the way - it was always up to me to call back every few days to get updates. But other than that, I have no problem giving Webster Autobody my full endorsement for any and all of your autobody needs. read more

Webster Auto Body has done nothing but first rate high quality work on my car. Ive visited them three times now (only one was my fault) and my car looks great thanks to them. Furthermore, in a world where good customer service is becoming a rare find as opposed a reasonable expectation, this place is an oasis of good honest people who really value their customers and want to get them the most bang for their buck. They considered my finances and discussed options before starting work, and I always felt that they were very fair. Other places have tried to rip me off, but my money is going to this family owned gem. If I need car work in the future, I will definitely be trusting my car to Webster Auto Body and the great people who work there, and I recommend that you do so as well! read more

The story of how I wound up here...The cop said that the guy who decided to side swipe a whole bunch of cars down our residential one-way was probably "a little too old to be behind the wheel". Apparently he plowed through a bunch of cars and kept driving until the car was no longer drive-able, grabbed his groceries, and went into his house leaving the car in the middle of the intersection. All the neighbors said, "Uhh, yeah, it was that guy!" Anyway, I drove my car to Webster and they were cheerful and inspected the damage and compared it to the assessment from the insurance company. They found more damage that the insurance company didn't find and made sure that they would work with the insurance company. We set a time, I dropped off my car, and they got me a cab to the train station. Exactly a week later, my car was ready and it was sooo shiny. All the work looked great and they even buffed out some of the scratches that weren't part of the accident. I drove the car for an hour or two and then found that the trunk wasn't closing properly; the latch wouldn't catch. It probably had nothing to do with the work and more with the 0'F weather we were having, but I called back anyway just in case. I came back with the car and he sprayed it with a little WD40, tested the latch a couple of times and we were good to go. Great work, friendly and efficient service...This will be my auto body shop from now on! read more

My mom borrowed my car to run an errand and got hit by a truck whose driver did not yield. She was fine, but the side of my car was not. It was dented and smashed from the side of the front bummer to the passenger door. The passenger door made a popping sound so loud, that it made people jump every time the door opened. Because my mom lives out of state and it was my car, I had to deal with repairs. I wanted to find a place that would make the process as painless as possible. I decided to have my car repaired at Webster Auto Body because it was close to me and had solid ratings. The people at the shop were very accommodating, I dropped it off before I left for vacation and a few days after I got back my car was ready. I was very impressed with how good my car looked. The detailing that they did on the inside of my car was pretty awesome, it was so clean it made me smile. I was very pleased with my experience here, I would highly recommend this place for auto body repair. read more

The most honest and reputable body shop I have ever worked with, I am now a happy repeat customer. Being a huge car guy I've always been the picky type about work done to my car, the classic insufferable who thinks they know everything about everything and that's always put me at odds with body shops. Not with Jerry and fam, their family run business has the nicest and most trustworthy folks I have ever worked with. I will always return to Webster - whether they like it or not ;) read more

Excellent work done on our car by Webster Auto Body after a nasty encounter with flying debris on the highway. Car looks like so well restored - shiny, with all the colour toned up - it seems new! They even cleaned the inside of the car - which was really nice. Would highly recommend. read more

I also found Webster Auto Body through Yelp. I had taken the turn into the driveway a little close and my car needed serious help. My relationship with my car might verge on the unhealthy, it is almost my baby, and I wanted the best repair around. Fellow Yelpers did not steer me wrong. The experience was similar to others - Jerry worked with the insurance company and the whole process was easy for me. His team did very high quality work. I think they can't stand to see anything second rate because they also fixed up another dent from a prior incident. When I got my car back it looked better than before the accident and had been cleaned inside and out. As others have said, the down side is that Jerry can be optimistic about the time needed and not great about communicating. I did have to call a number of times to check in and get updates on when it would be done. In the end the quality of the work done is worth the inconvenience. read more

I found Webster Auto Body back in December via Yelp. I am SO glad I did. I was hit, and my car needed some serious body work. My accident was on December 9th, and I needed my car to get to New York for Christmas. Jerry assured me my car would be ready. $7k work later, I picked up my beloved Subaru on December 22nd. Jerry and team did spectacular work. They also dealt directly with my insurance company, so I did not have to. I can't recommend Webster Autobody more highly! read more

Usually I hate Yelp and Yelpers because a lot of reviews are irrelevant, whiny, or reflect outlier cases that are not truly representative of a service or product. However, I felt compelled to give some serious props to Jerry at Webster Autobody. My car got crushed by some jerk running a stop sign, and my driver's side door was totaled. I decided to take it to Jerry. The whole process took close to a month, but during that time, Webster Auto took care of all the insurance paperwork on both sides, regarding supplemental damages, rental coverage, etc. (I use Liberty Mutual and the guy who hit me was from MET Life). It was all so easy. The best thing is, I could call Jerry and get an update anytime I wanted, and he was always friendly and informative. When I finally got my car post-repair, I was amazed. Not only was the repair flawless (looking better than before), they actually cleaned up all the junk in my trunk (and everywhere else) and stored it in a box for me. I also think they vacuumed everything. The interior was so clean. Hopefully I never get into a collision again, but if I do, I will without a doubt return to Webster Autobody. These guys are absolute pros. read more

Sent my car here after glowing reviews on Yelp. While the repairs took a bit longer than expected, the car looks great and they even did some (shoddy but free) repairs on my banged up bumper that was unrelated to what I took my car in for. Also they completely cleaned (vacuumed, dusted, washed) the inside of my car as well - a great bonus. If I have more auto body repair needs (hopefully I won't!) I'll definitely bring my Civic back here. read more

I am a satisfied repeat customer of Webster Auto Body! They deliver exceptional Auto body services, and detailing, too. Also important, they take excellent care of me from start to finish - scheduling drop-off and pick-up times (with reliable ETAs), arranging rental cars and coverage, and providing overall efficiency. I strongly recommend supporting and referring them to keep them in our community and duly recognized for the wonderful asset they are. read more

Had some front end damage to my bumper and headlights from an accident. They worked with me to economize the repairs so it was very affordable, and they were very prompt with their service-- I dropped it off on Monday and had it back by Thursday. They even cleaned the inside and replaced my floor mats, which was a great surprise! Would definitely recommend, and would come back if I needed further service. read more

Jerry at Webster mentioned that after the work was completed (no need to go into the incident that brought me here) the car would look "better than new". Yadda yadda, I thought to myself. HOLY CR*P!! It did!!! Body work AND the interior ... which was a disaster that had nothing to do with my accident (I'm messy). Customer service was great and the work unbelievably good and on time. I'm in love with my car again. They were fabulous! read more

I came out of the grocery store the other day, and there was a deep scratch on my months old car. You always dread that first ding, and I was pretty bummed. I looked on Yelp and found these guys, so many great reviews!!! I was able to drive over, and he took my car on the spot. He said the less expensive option would be to try to buff it out, and if it didn't work and more expensive work was required, he'd credit the amount on the buffing attempt. Well, it worked out just fine! $45.00 and my car looks brand spanking new again! They are super nice there, and I wouldn't not hesitate to recommend them! I'm a happy camper!!! read more

Jerry and his team are great! He helped me sort out insurance and I dropped off my rent a car there when I picked up my car. The repair was quick (a week or so) to fix my front bumper. They touched up some scratches on my car with no extra cost. I returned and my car was practically fully detailed!! Shiny and everything. This will likely be my go-to in town read more

I've taken my car to Jerry's twice now. The first time was because the shop is right around the corner from my house, so it was the perfect distance for my lazy, lazy self. The second time, I asked Metlife if I could go back to them because they did such a great job the first time. I thought that I had a good handle on the damage that was caused by my accident, but Jerry noticed a scratch that my untrained eye didn't see. Both times, when I got the car back, it looked amazing! My boyfriend even walked down to the shop to tell them how amazing it looked. Like a new car! And when I say that before I brought it to them, the inside of my car looked like the aftermath of that bedroom scene in Nightmare on Elm Street after Freddy throws Johnny Depp around the room a few times, I'm understating the complete disaster that was the inside of my car. And they made it spotless...SPOTLESS! And no one stole my coins! They were wrapped up in a neat little baggie. In conclusion, go there. read more

I was a bit hesitant with such good reviews, but this place really is awesome. They answered my email quickly and I was able to bring my car over within 3 days at a time convenient for me. When I dropped off my car, they had a local company pick me up to get my rental car. Seamless transition! Four days later (much earlier then I expected) I got a call that my ride was all set! They stayed open past 5 for me to be able to pick up my car after work. They even vacuumed the interior and the outside was detailed like new! I've never dealt with an accident or needed auto body work before but I know that I'll be bringing it back to these guys if I need anything in the future! read more

Jerry, Lisa and the folks at Webster Auto Body are amazing! I don't have much experience with cars, but working with Webster Auto Body everything was smooth and easy. My car looks brand new! Lisa and Jerry were able to help me when my insurance company gave me a hard time, easily get me a rental car and fixed my car quickly and safely. I cannot recommend them enough. read more

I went to Webster Auto Body to get my bumper replaced because it had a crack in it. Once the bumper was in (about a week), it only took 1 day to replace it. Final price was exactly what they quoted me. They even touched up a dent/rust spot and cleaned/vacuumed the inside of my car for no extra charge. They even washed the rubber floor mats! read more

My passenger side door and part of the car body were smashed and I knew it was going to be an expensive and time consuming fix. I took it to Webster because they quoted me 20% less than another place in town and it looks AMAZING. My car looks as good as new and you can't even tell anything ever happened to it. I hope I don't need any more body work done on my car but if I do they will be the first place I call! read more

Simply wonderful. I had some minor work completed here recently, and the service was terrific, and the pricing beyond fair. After many years of patronizing another body shop, the owner of that shop retired, so I was forced to find an alternative. I ended up at Webster, and I have to say, this place is the best, maybe better than my last spot. read more

I had some damage to my front bumper from a low speed collision; they patched it up in a day and a half, touched up the paint cracks on the entire part, and the whole piece looks better than it did before! They also cleaned the interior as well, and the car looks spotless. Price came right out within the quote, and they were open and responsive throughout the entire process. Hopefully I won't need any repair work for a while but if I do they've earned themselves repeat business read more

I got rear-ended and my mechanic, Ted, from Foreign Auto Center in Cambridge recommended Webster Auto Body. Not only am I thrilled with the job they did on my car but they went above and beyond to help me out with the person who hit me. Lisa and Jerry helped communicate with the other party throughout a difficult situation. The car looks better than it ever has, the service was prompt, and we cannot recommend Webster Auto Body highly enough. Thank you. read more

Outstanding experience at Webster Auto Body for many years! Jerry and his crew are extremely professional and efficient, always giving their clients great service with a smile. There is a reason they have been around for so long! read more

Absolutely amazing experience with Webster for interior detailing. I have beige leather seats and a dog who basically gets run of the car. Needless to say, my car was DIRTY. I picked up my car and thought there was a mix up, they did such an amazing job lifting the stains I had previously thought were surely permanent. Whole job set me back $75 ($65 base plus extra labor I was told about beforehand). Recommending to friends and family for sure. Thank you!! read more

Outstanding service, great people! I went to them for front end damage on my Prius, and they did a fantastic job. They completed the job early. read more

I have entrusted both my older Scion xBs to Webster Auto and couldn't be happier. They've done bodywork on both, and anything I had done that wasn't covered by insurance was very reasonably priced. Plus, they're fast. Surprisingly so, because they clearly do a lot of business. I've also had both cars detailed there, and as one who used to detail for a living, my standards and expectations are pretty high. They did everything that I would have done (and probably even better), all with great attention to detail. And again, quickly and affordably. read more

The best. It took longer than expected to get our fancy German car back because they weren't done until the work was done right. Our insurance company wanted secondary market parts used, but the perfectionists at Webster Auto Body rejected 3 hoods as damaged goods. They've so professional that I almost want to crash the car so I can use them again. read more

Winter really did a lot of damage to our brand new car. Dings, scratches, a crushed hood from a giant ice shelf. Webster did excellent work. We had a lot of paint matching that needed to be done (a red color, which is hard to do), and it looks perfect. The staff were friendly and professional, and they event detailed our car for us. It looked gorgeous! I got quotes from a few places in town, and Webster took the most time to give me the quote, and I think in the end the work actually costed LESS than we were expecting, which is always nice. I would highly recommend this place. read more

This place is the tops for car body work repair. I had them repair my two bumpers after I was rear ended. They were very courteous, handled all my insurance paperwork, delivered the car when promised. It was "show room" ready when I picked it up... They even touched up nicks on my doors that were unrelated to my fender bender. If anyone is in need, I highly recommend them. read more

Brought my car here after I rear ended someone and completely demolished my front end and parts of my engine. Not only that, but I had another accident (hit & run) that I was about to have fixed (insurance quoted me $1400) but decided to pay for it out of pocket while Webster fixed my front end. NOT ONLY THAT, but I also needed four new tires. Webster did the out of pocket job for $600 and some change, as opposed to the $1400, and gave me a superb deal on some real nice tires. Although it took a month to complete, and my rental charge was out of pocket (I just signed up to have rental on my insurance policy after that hefty bill!), I will absolutely go back to Webster if I ever need body work again. I highly recommend them to anyone and everyone. My car looks great, and they made it super shiny and clean, inside and out. Thank you, Billy, and thank you Webster Auto Body! read more

My Subaru was involved in a hit and run and I had to have the work done through my insurance company. As soon as I brought my car in, the Webster team took over from there. They were very friendly and are true crafts people. My car actually looks better now than it did before the accident. They fixed the deep dent and glass with skill. They were also excellent communicators, even going as far as to call me and keep me informed on the progress of the repairs. I would take my car back anytime, and recommend this shop to anyone looking for an honest group of people. read more

Deep down, every yelp user hopes to find a review that will guide him or her to a hole-in-the-wall shop, which one would have otherwise overlooked, but that provides superior service. That was my case when I looked for an auto body shop. The raving reviews for Webster Auto were so good, I was almost a bit suspicious. Regrettably, the reality was, that I did not have a 5 star experience myself. 1) Their hours of operation are differently posted on their answering machine than what is given on their website. I showed up (after making an appointment) at 7:30 am on a Monday morning to find the place locked down. It wasn't until 7:45 that one of the mechanics (who didn't speak English) slowly started to open up. He gave me a post-it and a pen to leave my name and number together with my car keys and hinted that I would be called when the rest of the crew arrived. That didn't happen. 2) After I called twice that same day and finally got a hold of Jerry, I gave him the date and number of the written quote he himself had given me the previous week. 3) When I picked up my car four days later, they had only done half of the work I had asked and been quoted for. Furthermore, there was some sort of paint/grease on several spots that they had to polish off after I pointed it out. The work they did do wasn't bad, but they seemingly have little supervision and quality assurance at their shop. I was told that "this had been the first time in 35 years they had made a mistake" (!!!). If that was really the case, they could have offered something better than simply having me bring the car back the following week for yet another 3 days at the full price of the missing work. read more

Shortly after purchasing my brand new vehicle it was hit by a rock on the highway. I brought my car to Webster Auto Body based on their great reviews on Yelp and could not be happier with my decision. I stopped by the shop and was immediately given a quote for the damage. The staff made me feel at ease about the repair within minutes of walking in. I was originally told that it may take three days for the repair and they were able to do in less than two! When I picked up my car not only did they wash the exterior of the vehicle but they also cleaned the interior of the vehicle. read more

They were very flexible about car drop-off and gave me an estimate the next business day. They were very cost sensitive and recommended a less-expensive alternative. The work was done entirely to my satisfaction and in less time than I expected. Super nice, excellent communication, and they work hard to do things right. Highly recommended! read more

Knowledgeable, professional, and super-nice staff. Pretty cool story, too - family-owned business for more than a hundred years!

I came out of the grocery store to find a big scratch down the middle of my passenger-side door, inflicted by a hit-and-run driver of a red vehicle (thanks, buddy). I've had my car for six months and went on Yelp for recommendations, and Webster had solid ratings AND many of them. I took my car in the following day (Saturday) and met Jerry, the owner. He quoted me $75 to buff out the scratches and mentioned up front that it would not be perfect. If I wasn't happy with the work and/or wanted it painted, he said he'd put the $75 toward the higher painting cost. I also mentioned that my dogs had scratched up the top of the back bumper climbing in and out of the hatch and inquired about the additional cost for buffing. He said $75 for everything - I dropped off my car on Monday morning and it was ready before noon. I have to say how thoroughly impressed I am not only with the work done (it's not perfect, but pretty frickin' close - a few spots were down to the metal), but also with his professionalism, honesty, and friendliness. I had planned on getting a few quotes, but I was extremely satisfied with the price and other Yelp reviews attesting to the quality of his work. I would HIGHLY recommend Webster to anyone looking for autobody work and would go there again, although I hope to avoid this altogether. read more
