Best burger I have ever had... My dad took me here when I was smaller to get a classic root beer float served in an ice cold mug. Took my boyfriend here the other day so he could try. The Weber's family claims to have invented the burger, and I buy that. This is the American greasy burger joint at its finest. Fresh burgers made to order, frosted mugs of root beer and ginormous brown bags of tater tots are what come to mind when I think of Webbers. True to mom 'n pop burger joint genre, they've got extremely limited seating in an old 1950's building, but that's part of its charm, and the place always seems packed as a result. Best part? A cheese burger with the works, a bag of onion rings or tater tots, and a frosted mug of root beer (they make their own root beer, and the family recipe is over 100 years old). Gripes? Limited seating, longer waits (but the food is made fresh when you order), and my body being angry at me for ingesting 4 pounds of greasy food afterwords. Summary: Weber's is and always will be, for me, the most iconic burger joint in Tulsa. They started the whole greasy burger joint scene. read more

Webers was a Tulsa institution while I was growing up. Family would head down to Peoria and Dad would buy burgers and root beer for us and it was a good time. As I grew up I would still find myself heading there on occasion for one of their root beer freezes. Now when I'm in the area it is more likely than not that the place is closed. However today I stopped by after a delivery to once again indulge in a root beer freeze. Talk about a shock. Prices have gone through the roof and what once cost about $3.25 now costs over $5. Got my freeze and was TOTALLY bummed to receive a half melted root beer freeze. I was looking at other customers food as well since those prices have also gone through the roof and I have to say I was definitely nonplussed. Smaller burgers for greater prices. Over $7 for a 1/2lb burger only whereas when I get a Hanks Special at Hanks Burgers I get the burger, fries, AND a drink for just over $8. It sucks that I can't get the great root beer freezes anymore but I guess that saves me from driving clear across town to be disappointed again. Won't be going back when there are far better deals elsewhere. read more

I've loved their food and make it at least a monthly visit. The fries & O-rings are great; I have to.flip a mental coin because I can't pick. The burgers deelicious R-beer; great! Now I have to go out in teen digit weather; just typing about it has made my mouth water. I've been eating at Webers since the 50s. The locations have changed, but never the quality! As long as it's their burgers, R-beer and more I'll go. (Its good that with so many great Tulsa restaurants gone, I can count on WEBERS and strongly urge that you do your tummy a favor and DO WEBERS. read more

I'm not sure I've ever been treated as rudely at a restaurant as I was tonight at Weber's. I was a secret shopper for hundreds of restaurants for 5 years and never had such a poor customer service experience. I didn't get the chance to experience the actual food because of being treated rudely. We called at 7:40 to ask what time they close and she said 8, so the kids and I high tailed it over there and arrived at 7:55 to have some rootbeer floats. I had a groupon to use and groupon's site wouldn't load. The doors were locked (with us inside) before 8, and at 1 minute till, when my app wouldn't load the groupon I thought of re-starting my phone, but they told me to pay cash or get out. Based on the snarky comments I received while watching the app just load over and over but go nowhere, I decided that I'd rather not give them any of my money. Be warned, when they say they close at 8, they mean they will stare you down, make rude comments, then kick your butt to the curb or lock you out if you don't have your cash in their till at 7:59. Eek. If I had been treated with respect while waiting for the app to load I would have told them to go ahead and make the food and if the app didn't finish loading by the time the food was done, I'd just pay... but I never got the chance. So, I won't be going back because of how I was treated. Kinda hoping groupon gives me my money back since its because of their site issues that it all happened. What a waste of 30 minutes driving in the car... My kids left in tears that we drove all that way and then were treated in such a curt/short manner by the owners (I'm guessing...). Next time I'll just stick with what I know: I'll go to Arnold's at 51st/Hwy 75, and have a great greasy burger, milkshake, and fries and be treated like one of the family. read more

If I had to compare it just by the burger alone I'd probably give a slight edge to Claud's across the street, but when you throw in Weber's homemade root beer, it's a total game changer. It's really tough to beat a place when they have the whole package like Weber's does. It won't fit in the 1 car drive thru and parking lot is made for cars. This place is very old school in every respect. The lady at the counter was very welcoming and I loved how she writes out your order. No POS systems here! Very small dining area but lots of outside seating. Prices are a bit high for Oklahoma. The food- Cheese burger. They make the burger and then smash it all down. Different but makes it easier to eat. Just your average meat, bun and condiments. Not much flavor and way too heavy on the mustard for me. Onion rings. Wow, got a small order and it was too much. The thick cut rings held their batter nice and were fried to perfection. Onions were fresh and sweet. Batter could use some seasoning as it seemed pretty bland overall. Root beer. I confess I am a root beer aholic and have tried hundreds of different ones. I was hoping to have found a gem in this town. (Just passing thru). The drink was ok. Great carbonation, good flavor but just way too sweet for a perfect root beer. For dessert I will need insulin! This is by far the best root beer float I have ever tasted. The root beer is served in the traditional frosty glass mug, complete with frothy ice crystals. Are you familiar with the slogan "barq's has bite!"? Well, Barq's has nothing on Weber's. There is a distinctive spicy after flavor to their root beer. The rich custard like vanilla ice cream they use for the float complements the bold flavor of the root beer perfectly. I have yet to sample any of their food, because every time we go, there is a wait for food (it must be good). I'll update you once I've gained the patience to wait for food :-) read more

OK, shocked and amazed that Weber's root beer stand doesn't automatically come up for search for restaurants in its area on Yelp. This place is been around for what like 60 years? With the same family making the same food in exactly the same way all the time. The root beer is made by hand. Is there really anything else that needs to be said? This place is amazing. From burgers to chili and fries, everything is outstanding. But the most amazing thing on the menu has to be a 32 ounce root beer freeze. It's so much more than just any old root beer float they blend the ice cream right into the root beer. You may say nine dollars for 32 ounce drink I'm telling you it's more than worth it. As a living piece of culinary history, I certainly had high hopes for Weber's since they still make their hamburgers on the original griddle that INVENTED the modern hamburger as we know it ...a meat patty on a bun. Well, you'd think the BUN would be something special,huh? Nope, just you average standard baked store bought bun but burger was still good and tasty. 1 order of fries was plenty but had an odd taste like the oil was a bit old, a little soggy but still very editable. The root beer was absolutely delicious, not too sweet with complex flavors and definitely homemade. I got the root beer float that came in a small frosted mug, nice touch.Cost about $9 bucks. Nice friendly folks but you can't miss the IN GOD WE TRUST sign prominently displayed. I'll be back at least for a homemade root beer and to revel in one of Tulsa's claim to fame. read more

Best burgers in Tulsa by far. Friendly staff that know how to whip up a burger and some root beer. Only problem is that they are a bit understaffed so I wouldn't plan a lunch break here unless you have time to kill. On a busy day, it takes about 20-25 mins for a burger. If you catch them at the right time you can get it quick, but it's a long shot. It's still worth it for the burger tho. read more

I am SO tired of wasting my time trying to eat here when their customer service is such SHIt! There food is ok but not worth the poor service . They close @ 5 , and a few weeks ago I show up at 4:45, wait at the window to order for 5 min, the guy came to the window and said "sorry we close at 5! " and I look at the clock and say "ya it's 10 till.." he then informs me he already cleaned his grill so he wouldn't take my order . I came back another day.. 20 till 5... the guy wouldn't even come to the window and just waved me away... here we are today, it 2pm. I wait behind a vehicle in line for 10 min, finally get to the window to order and the lady say " sorry we are not taking any more orders right now .. we just had a large call in to go order so you will either have to wait 20 min or come back !" Like WTF? I'm sitting here in your drive through for the 3rd time in a month just to be told once again to leave . Do not worry , I WILL NOT be back!!! read more
