We stayed at Weber's Boutique Hotel during our weekend trip to Ann Arbor. We were celebrating our 3 year anniversary so we decided to grab dinner here and it didn't disappoint! The interior is so beautiful. We got a window seat and the servers were very attentive. We started with the oysters, French onion soup, Caesar salad, and the bread with butter and smoked salmon spread. All delicious. Then We ordered the prime rib, lobster, baked potato, and mac n cheese. All fantastic!! And good portions, we had some leftover. Finally, we ordered a strawberry shortcake and they decorated it with the cutest icing flowers and wrote happy anniversary. I thought this was a nice touch. Overall would recommend!!! read more

Reserved online specifically to try the Sunday brunch buffet. I showed up dressed nicely, hungry and excited to try the buffet and enjoy the live pianist they have. Front of house staff was nice enough and got me to my table, but my waitress took such a long time to come over, and she then started giving me a long spiel about the steaks and such they serve here, when all I wanted was to dig into the buffet. ‍ Also a man at another table looked like he was also there for the buffet, and the waitress brought him out a big, fancy-looking bottle of water with fresh lemons in it. I got just a cup of plain water, and the waitress was too busy to come over and refill it throughout dining. Worst part was when I brought my first plate of buffet food back to my table and THERE WAS NO SILVERWARE TO EAT WITH. A front of house staff noticed and went to get some/ "go tell someone to get some" and the person was taking SUCH a long time ... I was literally watching my food get cold in front of me. I wound up grabbing some silverware from one of the tables next to me, because they were taking so long and my long-awaited food was getting cold. The front of house staff came back when I was starting to eat, and made up some excuse for why it was taking so long to just do that. Debated between 2 and 3 stars, but the food is pretty good. Some dishes looked like they had been out a bit too long, though. For the fanciness of this place, their staff needs to work better on professionalism to match. read more

I ordered several menu items. Overall the food was received as ordered. The sea scallops were just a hair undercooked. The crab cake was over seasoned and pasty. As a mild tasting seafood the lobster tails were cooked correctly, but seemed to lack much flavor. The ribeye was cooked to correct temp and was flavorful. The chicken breasts were also nicely prepared with sides. This was a delivery, but I would recommend dining in as it is a great restaurant and most issues could have been resolved and quickly corrected. I'm not sure I would order the crab cake again as for the price, it was not good. Looking forward to trying their brunch. read more

We took friends to dinner at Webers for our anniversary. I ordered what were supposed to be lump crab cakes. The two small "crab cakes" on my plate were gray and almost all filler. There wasn't a lump of crab meat in the one crab cake I managed to eat. It was awfulI! I left the other one on my plate. The waitress noticed this and didn't say anything. If we hadn't been celebrating our anniversary, I would have sent the plate back after one taste, but I didn't want to spoil the party. We lived in the South for over 30 years. The crab cakes I ate were pink and white and full of lump crab. What Webers is serving is certainly not a crab cake, and they are charging over $39 for it. read more

What caught my eye was the sign and fine family dining. We don't have many places in the world like this place. I gathered when we walked in that my nice top and jeans may not be acceptable at a place like this but the hostess was willing to seat us in a hour. We didn't have that kind of time. She kindly recommended the bar. Being Kentucky Derby time, it seemed fitting. Nice big tv's and mint julip's . I ordered the double cheeseburger and a house salad. Best cheeseburger EVER! I came here with my family for New Year's brunch. Two people got the buffet and I ordered the eggs benedict. The service was really good and the ambience was very nice; there was even a live pianist. The buffet items were quite plentiful but not particularly inspired. They do have a nice blend of savory and sweet options: waffle maker, eggs, sausage, pastries. There is ample parking as well. The ambiance is exactly what you hope for from a classic dining experience. Live piano music and dim lighting set the dinner mood. I've visited Weber's for their Easter brunch and dinner service. This restaurant is hands down the best place for prime rib in Ann Arbor. The presentation is well done and the wait staff is prompt and polite. For a boutique hotel restaurant they are exceeding dining expectations. I recommend booking Weber's for celebrations as well as a nice night out. Their brunch is good, no complaints about the food but the restaurant is set up in a way that the brunch area can be cramped. Additionally, the hotel is nice and traditional. I wouldn't say it's a must stay in Ann Arbor but it's a safe bet for lodging. Now let's talk food: prime rib is fantastic and a must try. We also enjoyed the escargot and calamari. As for the Maryland crab cake, it was good for the area. I haven't found a place in the Midwest serving crab cakes like you find on the East coast yet. Lastly, our dessert was fantastic! Peanut butter pie done the right way and a classic vanilla cheesecake. This is not too surprising considering Weber's has a full bakeshop that produces wedding cakes and pastries from scratch. With that being said, if you give Weber's a try (and you should), don't skimp out on dessert! read more

We had never dined at Webers before and decided to try this for our 10th wedding anniversary. We're glad we did. The restaurant is really pretty, live piano music was a nice touch. Service top notch and food very tasty. Hubby had the mushroom app, wedge salad & prime rib which he said was all tasty. I had the crab cake, all crab no filler, Cobb salad and miso sea bass - all wonderful choices. We ended with the vanilla cheesecake which was light instead of heavy, a yummy change. I thought it would be sacrilege to stay at Weber's but not eat at the restaurant, so we checked it out for breakfast this morning. My boyfriend was in the mood for something sweet so he ordered the French toast, which was made with cinnamon babka and topped with almonds. I was in the mood for a more traditional breakfast so I believe I got the American breakfast, which comes with hash browns, eggs, toast, and bacon. Everything was very good. I also got apple juice and my boyfriend got coffee, which I think the menu said was organic Fair Trade coffee. The restaurant does have an outdoor seating area which is what I wanted to do originally, but unfortunately it's not open for breakfast. I'm primarily only doing patio dining right now but there weren't many people in the restaurant so I figured one time indoors would be okay. Also, when we were leaving, we saw the hostess taking temperatures of some people who were coming into the restaurant; kind of odd because they didn't do that for us. I'm guessing it's because I had to mention my room number when we made the reservation though, and when we checked into the hotel yesterday they took our temperatures. I'd like to come back here for dinner at some point, maybe after the pandemic, because I've heard that they have great steaks. For breakfast I would give them maybe 3.5 out of 5 stars, so I will round up to 4 stars. read more

Really it should be a double 5 stars. 5 for the service and food. 5 for getting it right In this Covic virus new world. In this Covic virus times, safety for everyone and to keep the spread down, restaurants need to do a few things. Masks require for staff and customers need to wear one in building going to their table and going from their table. YES! Social distancing markings on floor to show guests where to wait in line. YES! Questions about heath history and exposure. YES! Temperature checks, have touchless thermometer. YES! Single use menu. YES!! They even change the table cloth between customers. I always knew to this is what my southern Ohioans would call a high class place. It is the details that are important. Of course the quality of the food is still the same, the best. The eggs Benedict is the best I have had in my travels and worth the drive from Southfield. Service makes sure your needs are met, but doesn't hover over you. But the prices are more than fair and even cheaper than other places that pride themselves on high quality food and service. Maybe that secret needs to get out more. I will be coming back and even more if other restaurants are like the one I was at in Plymouth - refuse to follow the guidelines and putting their customers and staff at risk. read more

This review is for the restaurant only - NOT the bar. The ambiance is old school, but also not overly stuffy, or nice. The waiter was super attentive and sweet, but the food was not very good at all. We had a large party - 8 people - and 4 ordered the prime rib - which they RAN OUT of - AFTER we ordered, so had to start over with the menu. The ribeye was overcooked and the sides were dry and not all that flavorful. It was just all very sad food. The saving grace really was the waiter who kept this review from being 2 stars. read more

Visited with my wife to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The ambiance was perfect for our celebration--not overly formal but the perfect place to celebrate an event like this. This was our first time visiting and felt our service was excellent. Our waitress took special care to explain menu items and checked in on us frequently. Never felt like we were forgotten while the restaurant was very busy. The food was a hit. We both enjoyed our meals and appetizers that were all served promptly after ordering. While the food met our expectations, the cocktails we ordered exceeded them. We were very surprised about how thoughtful and fresh the cocktail menu was. Overall our experience was fantastic. Another Restaurant Week gem because of it's FANTASTIC value. I had no idea what to expect with Weber's but didn't expect a classy, old school steakhouse like this in A2. I drive by the neon sign quite often and it never dawned on me to stop in...until restaurant week! Restaurant Week Dinner was $28 per person...that's how much a 10oz Prime Rib is a la carte on their regular menu so it's seriously an awesome deal to get it in a four course meal! *First Course: *MINI BEEF WELLINGTONS / Beef tenderloin, baked puff pastry, demi-glaze - these are real mini and come with three. If we had known how tasty these little bites were, we would've both ordered these for our first course. *SPINACH BREAD / Oven toasted with shredded mozzarella - My husband went with this safe option because he wasn't into the escargot or mussels. & safe is exactly what this is. Reminds me of the garlic bread my mother-in-law makes with store-bought white french bread but with some spinach. *Second Course: *SOUP OF THE DAY / Or upgrade to French Onion Soup $5 - I upgraded to the French onion soup. It was piping hot and perfectly delicious. Recommend! *HOUSE SALAD / Mixed greens, dried cranberries, toasted almonds, raspberry vinaigrette - Husband said it was fine. *Third Course: *PRIME RIB OF BEEF / Specialty of the House since 1950. Aged 28 days, reserve cut 10 ounces. Loaded baked potato. -- Pretty damn good & cooked well; my husband ordered medium and it came medium! The horseradish was also great! *LAKE SUPERIOR WHITEFISH / Crispy rock shrimp, citrus beurre blanc, sautéed spinach. - Yikes. I found this pretty bland despite the citrus beurre blanc. The crispy rock shrimp was nice, but not enough to offset a giant piece of bland fish. Also, it had SO many little bones in it that it made it pretty difficult to eat... *Fourth Course: *MINI FUDGE BROWNIE SUNDAE / House-made vanilla ice cream. - they're not kidding when they say fudge brownie. It was VERY dense and VERY delicious *HOUSE MADE ICE CREAM OR SORBET - I went with vanilla ice cream because I was stuffed, but I enjoyed it! Couple of worthy mentions: *Wine - They have an awesome bottle selection, but I also appreciate they do 2oz pours! I've been going to Webers for almost 5 decades and it has been a top choice in our family for most of our birthdays and anniversary meals. Unfortunately after last night's experience, I don't know if we will be back. It was my husband's birthday dinner and because our service and food experience was so poor that he kept apologizing to me cause I was so annoyed that it was so far off from the Webers experience that we know and love. He should not have felt he had to apologize during his birthday meal. Other people we had talked to that day who normally love Webers like us had warned of the drop in quality of their experience and unfortunately we found out the hard way we should have gone some place else like they had warned us too. Our waitress was horrid. I don't know if we were her first table and she had just started, but her training must have been terrible and lacking. The table next to us had a different waitress who was awesome and attentive to her table and I had huge waitstaff envy. We had to call for ours at least 3 times because she was legit not ever in our section. We ordered our drinks and she tried bolting away, had to ask her to stay so we could put in our appetizers and she obviously looked and acted dismissive and rushed. Had to call her in at the end of our apps cause she still hadn't bothered to take our main course meal. I've never still had menus at the table at a nicer establishment that late in the meal before. We've always had great service in the past but she would have been poor even at a fast casual restaurant. We've always felt that tipping upwards of 25% at Webers in the past, but felt cheated giving her a 10% tip. The food was also sub par. The whitefish pate was almost devoid of taste, this is normally a favorite. I ordered the lobster bisque, another long time favorite, and that was also incredibly bland. I sent that back as it wasn't worth the calories. I got the escargot and that was better, but still bland. Instead of the puff pastry you used to get or the toast points you standardly receive, I was given these super hunks of toasted chapati bread. I was so confused.... its not like I was going to manhandle them into the appropriate size for eating with the escargot. Its the absolute wrong bread for this. At least the ribeye was good, but by that time I was so disappointed and over my experience for the evening that it didn't even matter. I am legit stunned. I normally avoid hotel restaurants and prefer to search for a local eatery. My search for breakfast led me here. Ironically, it turned out to be a hotel restaurant. Since it a local establishment and not part of a chain, I decided to eat here. I did a quick look at the menu already knowing what I wanted... the French toast. At the same time my waitress warned me about the amount of food, she asked if I wanted any sides and highly recommended the Dearborn sausage links. The sausage had a subtle sweet taste. Although it would distract from the decor, I wish they offered the coffee in a carafe. The combination of the coffee with the real cream had me guzzle the coffee in mere seconds. Fortunately, I did not have to wait that long for someone to come by and refill my mug. When I got the food, I immediately spotted the crème anglaise but no sign of the maple syrup. I had to wait until my waitress returned with my coffee to ask her if syrup was already applied and I could not see it. She apologized because she had forgotten to bring it with the food. Unlike other places which may skimp on the maple syrup by applying it sparingly, this place brings it in a small container. I wasted no time and poured the entire contents. The cinnamon swirl babka had a similar taste and texture to that of bread pudding. As far as I knew, I was eating dessert for breakfast. I somewhat regretted ordering the sausage links. Although I enjoyed every bite, it prevented me from eating all of the French toast. read more

I get it, it happens, but after seating the staff just seemed to wander by our table for another 20 minutes until we were about ready to say something when someone arrived. Service was inattentive to an absurd level. I think because we came in a large party, she knew gratuity was included so we weren't a priority. It was also inexplicably one hundred degrees in the restaurant and everyone in the group was extremely uncomfortable. The lobster bisque had a horrible, off putting texture and was lukewarm. I took two bites and informed the waitress I didn't like it, and yet I was still charged for it. The salmon was okay but the vegetables on the side were steamed so far beyond recognition that they were just a pile of mush. To top it all off, I was overcharged $200 because the waitress didn't understand how to split our check. I was a waitress for years and I cannot stand places who don't allow splitting checks. It is not my job to figure this out, and when it was my job, I managed just fine. This is by far one of the best restaurants in the Ann Arbor area. The ambiance is incredible and it has a long history. This is my second time eating here and have enjoyed the entire experience both times. Dallas and Jasmine were our wait staff tonight and provided amazing service. They were both top notch! We were in a party of four and everyone enjoyed their meals. Half of us ordered the prime rib and the other half ordered New York strip. All of the steaks were perfect and the prime rib was one of the best I have ever had. I ordered the pork belly kale as a side but didn't enjoy that as much. It was a bit salty tasting. Overall though, this was an incredible meal and I would highly recommend eating here. Pricing wise, this restaurant has very reasonable prices for being an upscale restaurant. read more

There is nothing to fault this place! The filet and prime rib are without compare. Superb service and nice quiet ambience. Kelly took great care of us. We've been going here for our anniversary for years and have never been disappointed. The menu is not huge, but they prepare everything perfectly, and you cannot fault any steak they prepare. Sides are included in the pricing, which is not common anymore at a good restaurant.
