Went to Weber Tires this morning to get 4 new tires. Got there around 6:50a (they open at 7:30a) there were 8 others already there. They opened 5 minutes early. By 7:35a an employee was already taking my info. and gave me purchase options. Drove my vehicle into the bay at 8:10a was done by 8:38a. Cost of new tire plus install was $161. Found same tire online for $131. (Not including shipping and installation.) A couple weeks ago I took my wife's car to Smart Toyota - Madison dealership (scheduled appointment 2 weeks in advance.) Sat at dealership for nearly three hours, with a scheduled appointment!!! Crazy. Also, dealership strongly pushed for an alignment (another $100.) muscled me into it by saying they wouldn't warranty tires if I didn't purchase an alignment too. Thank you Weber Tires. read more

Drove away and while at speeds above 60 mph, my steering wheel & car was shaking. A couple days later I called Weber's to inquire if they indeed balanced my tires and they insisted they did. Best kept secret in southern WI for tires. Except it's not THAT secret, because there's always a wait. The earlier in the day you can get there, the better. Bring a book, or be prepared to take a walk. Dont expect any frills, not even coffee or water in the "waiting room". Dont even expect a place to sit. But if you're lucky, you'll be in and out in a hour or less. You WILL get the best prices on tires, anywhere. Mounting and balancing is included, no hidden fees. No aftermarket warranties either, but I've never needed one (unlike with crap I've bought from Discount Tire, but I digress). They have some used tires as well, but I really dont know why anyone buys used tires any more. The cheap comes out expensive. If being able to make an appointment is important to you, go elsewhere. If a comfortable waiting room with juice and cookies and wifi is important to you go, go elsewhere. But if you just want the best prices on good tires, look no further. read more

Weber Tires is the go to place for tires in Dane County. I got there right after they opened on a Friday morning. The waiting room was full and it looked like a long line, but they still had my car into a bay in about an hour. And I was done about 20 minutes later. They usually offer you 3 choices low end, medium, and high end. I told the service writer that I use winter tires and he said to go with the low end because the more expensive tires were better for all season. Now that's honesty! I also like that they give you pricing that includes all the "extras" like balancing, valve stems, disposal, etc. Mine were $75 per tire. I think they are generally busy all the time, so just expect to wait a bit. They don't take appointments. read more

Super fast service, quality work, and great prices. I showed up in the morning looking for help after 2 flat tires left me stranded. In 90 minutes I was back on the road and was only charged a total of $26 for the repair, re-mount, and balancing. As someone else said: don't expect magazines, coffee or a lot of chit chat. It is first come, first served and they KNOW who came into the parking lot first, second etc. Great tires at a great price. Just get there early and be prepared to wait a short bit. I got there on a Saturday at 6:30 (they open at 7) and I think I was 5th into the lot. By the time they opened that day there were about 14. Great deals on tires if you don't mind dealing with a little grit This place is the tire version of the soup nazi of Seinfeld fame. The staff is a little surly, the shop hasn't been cleaned since the Nixon administration, and god forbid if you need to use the bathroom (the horror, the horror). But despite all of these hardships, the place is always hoppin' Why you ask? Because you can save a boatload of $$$ buying your tires here. I've shopped around but Weber Tires always seems to have the best value. My theory is that because they don't spend any money on cleaning supplies, they can pass the savings on to their customers. I agree with Amy C regarding the fees, they don't nickel and dime you with extra charges for balancing and disposal. All those extras are included in their quote. The selection is great and I've never had a problem with an installation. They also do a great job of tire repair if you need a flat tire patched. So If you're in the market for a new set of tires, definitely check them out. read more

Weber tires is awesome... Sure, it is a little rough around the edges (to say the least) but this no-frills shop has the best prices around. I was just driving down VV tonight when my rear tire exploded... I was out in the middle of nowhere without a phone so i decided to limp it the mile and a half down the road to weber's at a whopping 15mph, tire flapping the whole way... when I got there it was exactly 5pm, the time they close... all the doors were locked but there just happened to be a man pulling a truck in the side bay door... I quickly ran up to him and asked "hey, can I use your guys phone?"... Once I got into the office I explained what had happened, and they quickly got to work, even though they were closed... They thew a used tire they had sitting in the back on my car and charged me 20$; 10 for the tire and 10 to mount and balance the used one as well as dispose of my shredded piece of rubber... they were done in under 10 minutes... Now that is service!! They definitely saved my butt from being stranded in the dark on a cold winter night. Weber's is the only place I'll go to get my tires... I tried Broadway Tire in Sun Prairie once and has an absolutely horrible expirience...never again. One thing to know about weber's is that they are always busy... Everyone knows they are the best so they get a lot of business... So you might have to wait a while if you don't get there early... I was turned on to this place because I heard they have the best price around (the rumors are true!). Weber tires offer tires at a great price, you can't beat it anywhere else in the area! This place is a hidden gem in a very rural part of Sun Prairie. But it's worth the drive because the tires are so darn cheap. The staff are friendly small town folks who are helpful and won't try to oversell you. When you walk in during peak season you can expect a waiting room full of people. When you arrive you'll give your name to someone behind the counter and you'll be added to a written list. Then the waiting begins. Have a seat in the no-frills waiting room and watch this place hum with people working as quickly and efficiently as they can. Be sure to bring something to do as the waiting can be very long. When they are nearly ready for your vehicle they'll call your name out loud from the list. You'll go with the person to look at your car and tell them how many tires you want and get a recommendation if you need one etc. You'll return to the waiting room and have a seat again. When they're ready to work on your vehicle they'll instruct you to pull it into a specific bay. After your car is in the bay it won't be long! (Like I said, these guys work fast!) Overall, I would recommend Weber Tires to anyone who is looking for a great value, as long as they don't mind a bit of a wait in a no-frills kinda place! Great experience! :) read more

Came here out of habit. I no longer live in the area, but I remember getting tires here with my family as a kid; I was in the area for a visit and needed tires before winter anyhow, so why not? They've got unbeatable prices. The line is always insane. Even if you go first thing in the morning you'll have people waiting. More importantly, the worksmanship has gotten questionable. Evidently they didn't properly seal one of my tires, because it leaks about half of its air pressure out overnight; tried the soap technique and sure enough, bubbling right up along the rim. read more

These folks are amazing!! Hands down the BEST tire buying experience I've ever had. Yeah, there's no frills, but I don't want to pay for frills anyway & I don't need a spa experience at a tire shop. These guys are on point! In & out in 20 minutes from driving up to driving away. The 'pit crew' way they do your car does all four tires at once. The customer service is awful. First, the majority of times you call to talk to someone the phone is busy. Then when you finally get someone to answer, the secretary is rude and not helpful. Her answers are short and she is not friendly. Then you make the decision to put the phone call behind you and actually go in and the secretary's customer service is even worse. It would be one thing if you have no appointments left for the day to say, "I apologize but unfortunately we no longer have appointments for the rest of the day, but how can I help you?" But that's not how you are greeted. When asked what you want and it's only to fix a leak, she snaps we are full for the day. Then when you ask for help finding some place to get your problem fixed, she tells you she can't help and won't talk to you any further. This is NOT a place that I ever want to take my car for tire service. Bought a set of Michelin Defender tires there yesterday. So far, so good on the road. The prices here are great compared to other places around Madison. Worth the trip out there. The dirt-cheap price they give you for the tires includes mounting, computer balancing, rubber stem, tire disposal and TPMS reset. The only knock is the wait. Of course during the winter it gets busy, and with a first-come, first-serve policy, I had to wait around a couple of hours before they got to my car. Prices are good but be prepared to wait for a long time. My biggest issue was how incredibly rude the lady at the desk was. I was trying to explain that they looked busy so I'd be glad to leave the car and come back in a couple of hours but couldn't get more than 3 words out and she just picked up the phone while I was mid sentence. Couldn't even explain what was wrong with the tire (slow leak) so I'm hoping it was actually done correctly. Had my second tire rotation since buying new tires on my own, they were looking good. In and out in 20 min at weber tires!

They did not tighten the lugnuts on one of my tires and it fell off on the highway. Luckily, we were not hurt. I had to call a tow and my afternoon was ruined. I called my credit card to reverse the charge. Capital One obliged, but Weber Tires disputed that, making me pay. They risked my life and stole my time. The customer satisfaction was terrible. They insisted I pay even though I spent the afternoon with tow and fixing job they failed to do properly. Selfish and greedy to say the least. Inconsiderate, especially due to the life-threatening consequences of their failure. Do not get your tires here if you value your time, money, and life! read more

Crazy busy place! Someone suggested I get my new tires for my Acadia there, they had the tires I needed in stock AND cheaper than Walmart and the price they quote you includes balancing, disposal, resetting sensors, etc- no extra fees like other places. Although it was crazy busy, it was crazy fast as well, they have several garage stalls and the guys know their stuff, we were in and out in under an hour. Well worth the drive. read more

Straight forward prices, beats the Madison area tire retailers hands down on same tires, no extra charges and actually took off the pickups spare tire and balanced it, then made sure if I needed it that it was easily to take off on the roadside (hadn't been off in 10+ years) and no extra cost to do so, when other shops may have charged. Great deals on tires. One price, no b.s. Get there early, way early, before they open. One complaint: I go to Weber's for a set of snow tires for my Subaru Forester. They had an assortment of snows online when I entered in my vehicle type. When I get there, they only had one set available; an off-brand I never heard of that was not even listed on their web site. Wow, inappropriate customer service! First, let me say that I've ALWAYS gotten my tires at Weber's. In fact, in the last six months I've spent $400 on tires for my Explorer and $300 on tires for my Suburban. They've always been great!! I went into Weber's Tires on 4/18/11 to get a written estimate for new tires so that I could get a price match at a different tire place that happens to have the tires I am looking for. I believe that customers have the right to get the best deal that they can, along with the exact item they're looking for. When I asked if I could get a written estimate, the answer I got from the 3 guys at the service desk was laughter along with "write it down yourself", and the best part of their response was them throwing a pad of paper and a pen at me. Uh??? What?? I'm pretty sure in kindergarten they teach you not to throw things at people. I'm even willing to bet that in business school they teach you that it's not appropriate to throw things at customers. Believe it or not, getting a pad of paper and a pen in my face isn't the only problem I had with them today. They wouldn't give me a written estimate. What kind of car repair shop is that? Who doesn't give written estimates for services they offer? I'm pretty sure that's a common practice of professional businesses. It's not only a way to assure you get the price you were quoted, but also it's just plain common courtesy to customers. I was pretty stunned after they threw the pad of paper and pen in my face, so I jotted down the price they told me and then left. I later called back to discuss this issue with a manager and ended up talking to a whiny baby. He was so PERSONALLY offended that people had the nerve to walk into his shop and ask for a written estimate so that they could save a little money by getting tires from somewhere else. Uh, hello, try being a little more professional. I wasn't telling you I hated you, I just wanted to save a little money. Throwing things at customers, refusing to give written estimates, and preventing customers from trying to save a little money every now and then is NOT good customer service. I'm under the impression that I'm in a relationship with Weber's Tires since you seemed to be so personally offended that I would want a written estimate and might go somewhere else once and awhile to save a little money...so I feel obligated to tell you that I'm breaking up with you. I feel like you could become clingy and demanding and I just can't deal with that. This place probably has the best tire prices in Dane County. Seriously. How to they do it? No frills, no high tech equipment, no fancy building, no 'free' coffee or cookies...I honestly don't think they even have a computer. The process: You meet the guy/gal at the front desk, you tell them what you have, you pick your tire from what's available. You wait until your name (or car make/model) is called then you drive into a bay where 3-4 guys use manual floor jacks to hoist up your car to change out your tires. Once it's done, you pay (check or cash only) and you leave. First come, first serve, no appointments. Down side? This place is in the middle of nowhere, nowhere to go you can walk to, and you can't just drop it off because they don't drive your car, there's nothing to do but sit and wait. There's at least a TV in the waiting area, but on busy days it's literally standing room only. My advice is to get there early on your day off if you want to save money. read more
