Then I go to Christian brothers and they offer to do an inspection. No thanks Zimbrick just did one a bit ago Today. Later, an Employee comes out and says I have an oil leak and for $140 they can inspect for the problem. No thanks. After oil change I drive away and smell oil. Go to my cousin two miles away and we open the hood to oil spilled all over the engine. I drive back to Christian brothers and the mechanic admits his funnel burped and oil spilled. Didn't bother to clean it up until I took it back. Ends up there isn't an issue with an oil leak, it was the oil he spilled running down under the car.

We could have purchased a complete stainless exhaust system for less than the cost to repair our existing 9 year old system. They used a piece of pipe to fabricate a tail pipe. Here we were assured we would get a tail pipe and ended up with an ugly piece of left over exhaust pipe. Yes, they did try the up sell tactics. If you need something quick and expensive then use them. Otherwise, save your money and go elsewhere.

As I was traveling with two young girls to a scheduled event, I pulled into a gas station with a little time to spare to fill said tire, only to wake up the next day to a different tire on a rim and with a grateful heart that I didn't get it an accident because the reading was showing me the wrong tire. Since then, we have taken multiple vehicles in, for everything from basic oil changes to suspension replacements. An anecdote: there was one time one of my control arms broke while driving and I had my car towed there. They looked into the issue, and Chris called me to let me know that Nissan would probably cover this under warranty, because there had been what was almost a recall, but you had to actually experience the problem first (they wouldn't replace them preventively). I didn't know about this, and they could have just diagnosed the issue and done the repair themselves, and I would have been none the wiser. Instead, they saved me hundreds of dollars. Their work has always been reasonably priced and completed to our satisfaction. I'm glad that Aaron, who had been operating as the main mechanic as it was, purchased the business and is continuing on as Syverson Automotive. I also really like the small shop feel -- if there's a question on the work done or recommended to be done, he's right there and you can actually talk to him. The only negative: it can take a bit to get in sometimes, so give them a call a couple weeks before you might want to be scheduled, if you can.
