I brought my truck in for a tire rotation and balance. I reminded them the air pressure needed to be reset. After waiting a bit I was ushered into the work area. The person working on my truck cross threaded one of the lugs. The lug nuts are not old as they were purchased from Discount Tire per their recommendation. They claimed the installer screwed it on by hand three turns instead of their company policy of five. A pain yes but it happened. They told me they would repair. My truck is going in the shop for other maintenance the next day and that can be taken care of. I get my truck back and the air pressure is 25 lbs low in the rear and 15 in the front. I had to have that corrected. I am also missing a center cap from my truck. The shop claimed it was missing when I arrived. They said they can order a new one. This is a comedy of errors and I'm paying the price. I would avoid this location. As a company I have bought tires for decades. This location is not up to par.

Further inspection brought up additional issues that we discussed at length. He went over the the associated costs and we agreed on a course of action. This day could have been a total disaster. However, with Dave's assistance in getting my vehicle to the shop quickly, a straight assessment of the situation and an immediate quote, helped me avoid what was certain to be a nightmarish experience. I dropped off the car first thing in the morning, saying, "Inspect the air conditioning, do oil and lube, and inspect all systems." The guy wrote it down. As I picked up the car at the end of the day, I looked at the invoice. They hadn't taken a look at the air conditioning at all. Nothin'. Nada. Duh! Air conditioning had been at the top of the list. How could have possibly have missed AIR CONDITIONING unless they were illiterate⁉ They essentially had done nothin' worth anything that day, and charged me for doin' nothin'. They weren't even apologetic. I was not a happy camper. I was new in town, didn't know anyone so -- fool that I was,-- I gave them another chance. They didn't do any better the second time around. According to my experience, they charged me a pretty penny for doing doodly-squat. Do I recommend them? Not on your life. Not a chance. They s_ck -- is that strong enough wording? I categorize them as "incompetent thieves." Move on. Find another shop. I can say unequivocally that Gary's Wille's was the worst vehicle repair shop I have ever gone to. I would give them "zero stars" if I could (or even a negative rating, like "minus 5"). This shop doesn't deserve one star, but Yelp requires a rating, so fine, one f'in' star.

My car started making a very strange grinding and rubbing noise when I was taking a left turn. I suspected it might have been a control arm, wheel hub, or something else suspension-related and was nervous. We've been in the area only about a year, and I had no clue who was a good mechanic that could help fix the car and not drain my bank account. I was at a Marshall Area Business Administration meeting and bumped into someone who referred me to Deerfield Tire & Auto and told me to ask for Troy. A few weeks later, I got the gumption (mostly because I was tired of having a car I couldn't use) to wander down to see Troy and I have to say, I was shocked. Troy and I went for a little test drive. In less than a block, he was able to take a reasonable guess as to what was wrong. He figured it was coming from the rear passenger side wheel, whereas I thought it was the left front wheel. He got the car up on the rack and let me know it was nothing suspension-related (whew) and instead was a brake problem, with the possibility of it requiring new calipers and possibly needing new bearings. As it turned out, all it needed was new pads and rotors. Troy called me several times to give me updates as to what was going on and how he was ruling out some of the worst-case scenarios (your calipers reset perfectly... your bearings are fine). He could have easily taken us for a ride (pun intended) and just told me it was all of those things, and I wouldn't have been the wiser. But, he was honest, he communicated everything, and treated us with respect. I was so impressed with Troy that, when I picked up my car yesterday, I dropped off my Jeep for tire replacement. I was having some uneven wear on the front tires, where other mechanics had said, "That's a Jeep thing and it'll cost you about $600 in suspension work, a CV joint, and then you'll need to buy tires, too." Nope. He gave me the cost of two tires, he then tested the alignment and it was as simple as the tires were too far toed out. An alignment was $89 and would fix the entire issue (on top of the tires). He showed me the before/after readings of the alignment and we were on our merry way. The next time I have an issue that can be addressed by his shop, I'm taking my vehicles here. He instilled trust and made me feel comfortable with the entire process.

I scheduled an appointment for my vehicle to have the front brakes replaced. The customer service was superb. Troi and his team are very helpful and provided great service! I will definitely be back for maintenance and other auto service needs.
