The customer service from the mechanic is incredible. I think his name started with a T, but I don't remember exactly. I came in five minutes before closing and was freaking out because of tire pressure problems (none of the gas station pumps around were working), and he put air in my tires and helped explain what happened. The car repairs were fine, but it was the customer service that was absolutely unacceptable and cruel by some dude from the shop named ED. My daughter was treated awful right from the time she arrived to pick up her car. Very rude and ugly! (discriminating!!) Because the next person that arrived was treated kindly and like a human being! My daughter was in tears and left to go wait outside in the cold because he was incapable of finding out the information that was needed to release her car, and she took an uber there to pick it up!!!! During drop off, the mechanic creepily stared at her from time we walked in and was checking her up and down and said he loves her hair. During pick up, he again creepily stared at her through the window from the shop, creepily waved and smiled and then proceeded to make a humping sexual gesture with both hands. He stopped working and stepped out of the building to watch us drive away. A report has already been filed with the company/corporate. The invoice said technician : 12 Glenn. I'd give this place a 0 if that was an option. Scheduled an appointment online and specifically picked a tire that they showed as available same day (mind you appointment was for the next day). Got an email that my appointment was confirmed same day. Drove a different car 25 miles to get there and have the guy behind the desk tell me that oh, the tires you ordered we don't stock/don't have and we could either order tires and you could come back next week Wednesday or I could sell you the tires we do have in stock, which were much more expensive than the tires I originally requested. Drove across the parking lot to a competitor, and they got me in right away for a better tire at less the price of the original appointment. To avoid this whole situation, a very simple email, phone call or text could have been made letting me know the tires I ordered aren't in stock. Don't let a customer drive to your place of business to then tell me you don't have the tires. Very poor and I would stay away! read more

Because my usual mechanic is not able to perform tire alignments, I took my van to the above Tires Plus. I asked them to check if I needed one and also to check the front driver's tire for a gradual leak. After looking at it for about 30 minutes, the mechanic came out and joined the man at the front desk. After looking at the mechanics' notes, the man at the desk said, "The reason you are feeling in the wobbling in the front end when you drive is because you need a new wheel bearing. " I responded that I neither complained about wobbling nor have I felt any. And further I said I was surprised because not that many miles ago, I had all 4 wheels off and had all the brakes and bearing replaced. The mechanic whispered to the other man that perhaps he could just grease the bearing. Another man came out and told me that my front tire had a bulge in it and that could cause a blow out. I asked him if that is why I was losing air in it, he shrugged and said it could be. I also asked if it did need the alignment I came in for and was told they couldn't determine that without replacing the wheel bearing. I told them to back the van out of the bay and give me my keys! I then drove it to my regular mechanic who I have used without reason for complaint for decades and he checked the wheel bearing and tire and found that neither was needed or true. I am an older woman and was there alone. I don't know if this was a factor. read more

Called on the phone to schedule a wheel alignment. Spoke with Tina she guided me set up with a time and listen carefully to the issues I was having. When I came I was greeted and she repeated the things that might happened. They did the work in the right order within an hour and spoke about the pieces and further work that needed to be done in order to fully fix the vehicle. Then they tried to sell us tires that where a lower rated, but more than double the price of their competitors. They also then told us that the rebate offer is built into their prices whereas all their competitors takes the rebate off at the end. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Went in with uneven tire wear on one side. Wanted $3500 to rebuild front end. I was still in the market for a mechanic, but against my better judgment I gave them a chance. Drove the car 300 miles and front wheel started shimmying. Mechanic who repaired said that TIRES PLUS MECHANICS HAD NOT PUT ALL THE BOLTS INTO MY FRONT END ASSEMBLY! Spoke with store who were less than no help and seemed disinterested in what could have been a lawsuit. Two hours on the phone with corporate to get them to pay the $200 to fix their problem. THIS SHOP DESTROYED MY BRAND NEW CARS WHEELS! I went in for a simple tire swap to have new blizzaks put on my 3 month old toyota86 and when the car was returned to me it had lubricant, dirt, and grime plastered all over every rim. When I asked the mechanic about it he said he had very difficult time getting the low profile tires on and that is why they were so dirty which is extremely unprofessional. I had the shop clean off the wheels which revealed scores of scratches on the surface of the rims as well as DEEP grooves engraved in the lips of the wheel from the tire changer. There are even chips in each of the wheels as if the mechanic used a screw driver to pry the new tires on or the old ones off. They opened an insurance claim for me with their corporation and after 5 weeks of their claims specialists not responding to my calls and emails I realized the only way I am going to be reimbursed for the damages is through court. Your time and peace of mind is Invaluable, PLEASE CONSIDER USING A DIFFERENT AUTO SHOP!!! read more

I can't believe this place. I was in Madison again this weekend and saw another nail in my tire. Gotta stop coming to Madison, streets must be full of nails. Anyway, when I saw the nail in my tire, I went to the same Tires Plus plus that took care of me a year ago. I could see that they were very busy. The man at the desk was very pleasant but said it would be 1 to 1 1/2 hours before they could get to me. Ok. We sat and played on our phones. 10 minutes later, they showed me that the nail didn't puncture the tire and I could drive it as is. By the way, NO CHARGE.What wonderful employees they have here. Two years, two nails and both times they took care of me. I can't say enough good about these guys. They took care of the tires and were supper nice. My boyfriend and I had been grocery shopping, and were on our way home when he started to hear a clunking sound when the tire rotated. We pulled over and saw a bolt lodged in the tire. We took it to Tires Plus because it was close and open. At first we were told that they were booked out and couldn't help until tomorrow, which was understandable. While we sat in the lot on the phone trying to find somewhere else, the manager came back out and sprayed the tire to see if it was leaking already. Long story short, they were going to put the spare on for us, but there was an issue with the lug nuts, so they told us they would just repair the tire right then and send us on our way - even though they were already backed up. We didn't have to buy a new tire and we were charged very very reasonably. The manager (his name escapes me) and Derek were wonderful and we will never go anywhere else for service now!! read more

The positive - they are always super nice, and don't haggle you on prices. Every time I've been here I never felt like I was being taken advantage of. I've gotten my tires filled, and replaced here without issue. The negative - it can take a really long time to get your service done. I had an appointment set up at noon with a different place but I showed up for it and the employees said I couldn't get my tires changed then and I'd have to come back tomorrow. They were very rude and unapologetic. My boyfriend called this Tires Plus, had about a ten minute phone conversation, and they were able to get us in 2 hours later, which I was so grateful for. I made an appointment online to have two new tires installed, one on a new rim that I had as one of the rims was bent and a front end alignment to be done at the Commerce Dr. store. I was contacted the following day by Chuck the service advisor, he was less than friendly from the start. He told me the time I had chosen wasn't available as there were other cars in front of me, understandable. We settled on a 1:00 appointment time and I asked if my car would still be done that day. I was told by Chuck "oh yeah it'll be done in a day." Great, I dropped off my car at 1:00 on 7/25/2020. I had to go through what I wanted done again. Two new tires, one mounted on the provided new rim, and a front end alignment. Chuck had put down that I wanted only one new tire and an alignment. I was asked by the counter person when I would like to pick it up, I told him 5:00 pm was fine (that's the time they closed). I came to get my car at about 4:50 and my car hadn't moved from the spot that I parked it in at 12:45. I went in and told the counter person that my car wasn't even touched. I was not happy. After some fumbling about the status of my car he finally said he'd check on it. He came back and said "oh yeah, we didn't get to it today." I told him that, that excuse was unacceptable. He said he was going to talk to the mgr (the mgrs office was four feet from the counter and the door was open). He came back and said that his manager would knock $80 off of the price of the alignment. I responded "no you will do it for free." He kind of shrugged andsaid he could go get the manager to talk to me. I said "please do." Chuck finally emerged from his office after hearing all of this, only when I raised my voice for him to come out. He started to give me an attitude about the whole thing. After a few choice four letter words aimed towards Chuck he kicked me out of the store and said "I'm going to make a note." Which I assume meant I was being banned from the Tires Plus at 458 Commerce Dr. in Madison. Which is perfectly fine with me because I will never set foot in another Tires Plus in my life, and I would advise anyone else the same. read more

I had 4 new firestone destination LE tires installed on my f-150 and they are soooo much better ride and traction that the stock Goodyear Wranglers. I made an appointment and they were right on time getting me in and the installation took 1 hour and 20 minutes. Very happy with the entire process and tires. read more

While the guys at this location are all very nice, their customer service leaves something to be desired. Additional services were added to my bill without my knowledge, and the one service I would have wanted (road hazard coverage) wasn't mentioned when I dropped my car off. I was not notified when my car was ready - the gentleman who answered the phone said he "thought" he'd already called to tell me. When I came to pick my car up, I was told I'd have to come back the next day to add the additional coverage. The tire replacement itself seems fine, but the service was pretty awful. Not only did they waste an entire day for our delivery truck to be out of service they lied directly to us about the progress on the vehicle. As a small business the income produced by our delivery truck is an important aspect of keeping our business operational. We scheduled an appointment a week in advance for 6 new tires to be installed and planned on allowing the entire day for the installation. Warning sign #1: 2 days prior to the appointment they called to say they may not be able to keep the appointment because they were booking up and didn't want us to have to wait all day for the vehicle. When we reminded them that we were dropping the vehicle off for the day they said ok and that they would be able to do the requested installation. Warning sign #2: When dropping off the vehicle at 8:00am on the scheduled day of installation (we were the first vehicle in the lot) they questioned whether the size of the tires I gave over the phone was correct and said they may not have these tires available (reminder - we scheduled the appointment a week in advance). After confirming the size I gave over the phone was correct they confirmed they would be able to get the job done by 4:00pm that day and that they would call when completed. At 3:00pm that afternoon I called to check on the progress in order to plan for the pick up of the vehicle. I was told that 2 tires were done and they were "going to pound out the other 4 tires in the next hour". I questioned if that would even be possible considering that in 7 hours they only had 2 tires done and now they thought they could get 4 more done in 1 hour. I was again told they would call when finished. At 4:00 we drove over to pick up the vehicle (without ever being called) and we were happy to see the vehicle in the garage. However, upon entering the building the sales teammate said he would check on the completion time with the service tech. When he came back he told us that the vehicle would not be finished by the time they closed at 6:00 and asked if we could leave the vehicle for another day. I stated that that was unacceptable and that the following day we were completely booked with deliveries including a trip to Delafield, WI which is why we wanted new tires installed today. I told him we would pay for the 2 tires that were done and get the other 4 done somewhere else. At that point he went back out to the garage to tell the service tech to wrap up the work and we were taking the vehicle. Within 2 minutes the truck was being backed out of the garage and the sales teammate came to the main door and said the truck was ready to go. As I walked towards him outside he began to tell me of the miscommunication that occurred between he and the service tech and that in fact no tires had been installed. In summary, our truck was out of service for 8+ hours, 0 tires were installed during this time, I was lied to twice and TiresPlus was out $1300+. Now, 20+ coworkers are spreading the word of the poor service at this location. Had they originally declined being able to work on the vehicle we could have made an appointment elsewhere, which we did the following week and the work was done in under 4 hours. On a Sunday morning I hit a boulder in a parking lot splitting my tire. I was on my way home to CO. This location was open, and while very booked until mid afternoon, squeezed me in. My tires were of a specialty size, and they tried to find one from the limited resources due to it being a Sunday. They found what I needed, and got me on my way by the noon hour. The facility is very comfortable and clean. The manager Craig, most helpful. It is easy to see why this Tires Plus is a busy one, but not too busy to help a distressed out of town traveler. Not even a transmission flush was suggested..... :) Was pleased to overhear an employee explain to a customer that synthetic allows you to drive well over 3,000 miles- closer to 6,000. I made an appointment to have my work van worked on and when I did I was sure to ask if they had ever worked on a enterprise fleet vehicle they said yes, so today I dropped it off to get the brakes done that were bad a while later got a call telling me what was all needed and the mentioned the tires are starting to get worn so should think about getting new ones soon, when I told him I would need to get the ok from enterprise (which if they "knew" what they where doing they should know they have to get approval from enterprise before doing any work) he then told me I had to get ahold of enterprise for the work to be done )which my boss said was bs) so then u stopped by to see what was going on. Once I stopped they informed me they did indeed get in contact with enterprise and where waiting for the approval. Now when they called me they said it would be about $850 dollars ok seems high but ok it needs to get fixed but now that I'm there it's going to be $1800! The tires are a safety issue and HAVE to get done before anything!?! When they thought it was my own vehicle even thought has logo all over it for the company I work for the tires "should" be changed but once it was a guarantee easy sale it had to be done now for "safety" but since they waited so long to even start on my vehicle they didn't have it done when they said it would be now I have to figure out a way to get to work and do my job without my van that has all the tools I need and the best part the idiot at the counter was trying to turn the blame on me for them not having it done terrible customer service I would not even take my son's bicycle tire there for them to put air in it I'm sure they could find a way to screw that up I would rather go to Walmart auto Center for any work to a vehicle before I go this place ever again read more

I recently moved to Madison from Los Angeles and obviously need some all weather tires for my car. The associate took a lot of time explaining my options to me and recommended a couple of choices. I never felt like he was trying to oversell anything, in fact, I heard him tell someone else that they didn't need to spend so much on new tires. I took my car in and waited in the lobby for the job to be done. He came out a couple of times to tell me of the progress being made. I heard him and a few others on the phone with customers and they were so great, polite and helpful. I went in expecting to pay $300.00 for a rear brake job, after the inspection Service manager Cody Berndt came out to tell me what I hadn't expected to hear. I was told my brakes look good and the grinding I had been hearing was some rust and dirt and they needed adjustment. I walked out paying $35.00 with a smile on my face ! While they don't do towing, Randy at Tires Plus gave us a recommendation (Liberty Towing), and she was towed there quickly, got new tires and was ready to go that day. I called and told the guy I needed a new thermostat because that's what I needed. He said that's fine but if we don't do a diagnostic exam and your engine light doesn't turn off after fixing the thermostat that's your problem. So he says the exam will be 100$, when there's a board with marker saying exams are 10.99$ but whatever the worst part is after the exam he says yeah just the thermostat. He was a complete dick to everyone that came in. Sat there 5 hours waiting on my car and every bit of dialogue that was necessary for communication on my car was like pulling teeth with his little girly ass attitude. Smart ass remarks and watched him be rude to an old man basically telling him to leave and cutting him off mid sentence and saying "I think you have the wrong place" and smiling while doing so to add a little more attitude. Took my car in for an oil change, was told it was leaking oil everywhere and the only way to fix it was with a specially-ordered $300+ part and $100+ in labor. I asked them to show me, they said they had cleaned up all the oil already. I was a little suspiscious about it since they seemed to have "cleaned everything" so quickly, so I had my brother (who is a whiz with cars) look at it 2 weeks later, and not a single drop of oil could be found. I got my oil changed at Tires Plus on Thursday, and asked them to check the battery. After the oil change, he said that the battery wasn't holding a charge, and recommended getting a new one. He told me it's a Diehard like the ones that Sears sells. I told him it wasn't very old, and he said I should call Sears and have them check for me to see if it was still under warranty, and it was. I was in last night to have a punctured tire replaced. The guys went above and beyond by lowering my jack back down that I had left in the back of my SUV, putting the two tire wrench tools in the compartment with the jack and they put my spare tire back under the car. I was so happy they did that! It's bad enough to have to change a flat tire and then to have to put everything back away is just adding insult to injury. I wish I could remember the names of these guys as I would mention them if I did, the desk guy didn't have a clue, I must have spent 45 minutes with him between check in and check out. I left the Christmas party in Wisconsin and had to drive 2 hours back home. Went out to my car and saw I had a flat. So I put the doughnut on and drove to a place called tires plus in Madison. They just had to fill it with air cuz the seal failed. The guy told me it would be about 21 bucks and I asked just to put air in the tire? It took a while for them to put it back on but it was because they put it on the lift and straightened the frame a bit. I was gonna go deposit my check to pay them but they did everything for free. Didn't charge me anything which was a surprise. I would totally go back again cuz they were nice. It just took a while.
