So the problem I wanted to get addressed was that the exhaust pipe from my attic furnace was collecting condensation and causing a leak. 1. Initial Visit: A technician came out to diagnose the issue. He said that the pipe had to be replaced due to rust and the cap had to be added to the roof end of the pipe because it was completely missing. He charged me $3000 for replacing two sets of pipes. I thought it was expensive but went through with the transaction because of the high reviews on yelp. 2. Failed Service: On the scheduled date, technicians arrived but refused to replace the pipe because my roof was "too steep." I was told they would reschedule with a crew equipped and willing to work on steep roofs. 3. No Follow-Up: The company never rescheduled this service. I tried calling them multiple times but the only response I got was that they would call me back. (the customer service rep was kind and responsive) Do not use this company if you want reliable service or basic communication.

Sadly, the owner of Nick's passed away and this company is now owned by Dunrite. I called that company based on the reviews of Nick's Air Services, but their services has definitely NOT been the same as mentioned on this profile. In summary, this company is expensive, can make improper recommendations, and the office is very difficult to get anyone to call you back. I absolutely would not use them again in the future and - had I read their Yelp profile for Dunrite Heating & Cooling - would never have called them in the first place. My experience: My air conditioning due to leaked refrigerant due to another HVAC technician not correct. Nick's/Dunrite came out during the same day and quickly identified the problem. There was a leak on the schrader valve. They got us back to running - for nearly $200/per pound of refrigerant. 5 lbs = about $1,000. Wow, but we had no choice as my original installer was not available. Our unit has not been keeping up with the 90s for the past two months and the technician recommended 3 different options. I chose 2 of the 3 options: a larger return air duct AND repairing the plenum. I was anxious to get the work scheduled and it took me hounding them to get them to schedule the work. Communicating with this office was very painful. I would never get calls back and would just get a text message indicating when they had scheduled the appointment. Their front desk support was exceedingly helpful but not empowered to do anything besides schedule appointments and pass along info. I finally had the appointment and the technician went to the wrong address. I got a call from them saying they had been at my house and then they proceeded to the next job. I spoke to them and learned they were at the wrong house, but could not turn around to go back to my house. I had to wait until the following week to get the appointment rescheduled. What a disaster. It got worse. The work was finally done - the return air duct and the plenum. I waited a couple of days, but there was NO change in the air conditioning. I called them back again and they scheduled another technician to come out. The second technician came out, a more senior technician, who confirmed that the unit was undersized and "working as it was designed" to cool at 75-76. I don't know a single person who is comfortable with 75-76 in the house when the outside is in the 90s. I called customer service again. When I finally got someone, I got a call from William, who is their most senior technician (an older guys in his late-50s probably). He came out with the original technical and instructed him how to properly do a heat load calculation. They determined indeed the unit is undersized and I needed a 3 ton. I called back the customer service asking for a refund to the work. I've called at least 3-4 times, each time speaking with a very nice person. However, I've still not been called back. What a disaster. I've finally had to resort to filing a complaint with my credit card and disputing it through them. It's unfortunate and I didn't want to have to do this, but - when no one will call you back - it's very very hard to trust this company to make things right.

I came home Friday Afternoon (10APR26) to find a puddle forming in my garage. My water heater of…read moreover 16 years had finally given out. To Rescue Air's credit, they had been warning us each time they came out for HVAC Filter rotations. Thankfully, Rescue Air's ace plumbing expert Mr. Phillip Blystone was dispatched to my home to assess the situation. Within minutes he identified the issue and immediately started to work out a plan and arrangement my family could manage to cover the expense of the Water Heater replacement: the source of the leaking problem. Rescue Air has a very long history of working with my family since we've been in this home (2016), so that level of service is a given these days. But that's not the complete reason for the 5-Star rating. The next day, now with a working heater, my wife and I discovered that a leak was still present in the Garage. Upon calling Rescue Air to let them know what was going on, Mr. Blystone responded swiftly to our location to triage the leak. Using both his advanced equipment and intuition, he found that in spite of the solid repair and replace he and his team performed of the water heater, a leak was sadly missed during the initial assessment. Most other business would likely have tacked on a "not-our-problem" sort of response to this. However, Mr. Blystone and by extension Rescue Air are not your normal type of company. With careful consideration of the economic circumstance of the recent repair & purchase, balancing years of customer loyalty and being a genuinely saint, Mr. Blystone proceeded to isolate and resolve the leak (a small puncture hole in the T-pipe hot-water line leading from the heater) pro-gratis. Completely unexpected, but definitely much appreciated! It goes without saying it would be extremely foolish for my family to consider doing business with anyone else in the Dallas Metro given Rescue Air's track record with our family. The value lost would be far too great. While I hope to not need their services as often as recently, I definitely look forward to working with them and Mr. Blystone should the need arise again.

Ok. They had photos. Their explainations sounded reasonable, especially when coupled with the photos they quickly flashed through on their tiny phone. So, I told them that we would likely move forward, but I require two things - a copy of all of those photos, and two estimates, one for what they wanted to sell me, and a separate itemized repair list. I got two estimates - one for the original they were pushing, and another for something MORE expensive. No itemized list of repairs. No photos. When I reached out in email, they wanted a phone call. There is almost always a good reason for not wanting to leave a record via email. But, $15,000-ish for a new 5 ton unit, with no new duct work... yeah, you'd better *really* back that up. They could not (would not?) I now have to suspect that thier photos were doctored in some way, maybe even not all of my unit. Who knows? Who looks inside, like that? And, I suspect their reason for not sending me copies of those were dubious. They also pressured the sale claiming that "prices go up next week for Summer." Sha. Ok. This was in March. Good luck with these tactics. Not for me. If you want to give them enough rope to hang themselves to find out for yourself, just act ignorant and as excited for a new unit as they suddenly are to sell you on it. You'll see. It'll cost you $120 for the scammy diagnosis, though.

Scott came and looked at the unit in question, found that family had messed up the rewiring of the Capacitor, and fixed that. While looking over the units, he noticed that the other company had NOT serviced the units in the changing of the filters, which was evidenced by how dirty the filters were. Scott was very honest with his diagnosis of what was going on, addressed it, and then made some very sound recommendations. Regettably, I agreed to allow them to complete the installation, and they still charged my card the service fee Later that same day, three other employees showed up to remove the old interior unit. This is when they soaked my attic with the water from the drip pan and from the old unit, which obviously caused water damage to my ceiling below. I alerted them to this and was told that a contractor would be sent to take care of the repairs. On, the day of the install on June 27th, I was told that I had to find a color code for the paint inorder for them to send a contractor to fix the damage they caused to my home. I told them that I had no way of finding that because the ceiling and walls were painted over 10years ago. The install was completed, but the damage was not fixed, and I did not hear back from them after June 27th. I had to contact this company to remind them that they have not contacted me. I was expecting them to call to schedule a day & time to send the contractor. Again, I was told that I had to track down the color code for the paint needed. I explained to them that the last employee that was at my home was able to peel a sample of the paint and urged them to take care of this immediately. They lied yet again and said they were going to take care of it that same week. Needless to say, they have not fixed the water damage to my home, the service fee has not been refunded, and I have not heard back from them at all. Now, I have to go the legal route to rectify this issue. Fast Response Heating & Cooling is negligent, dishonest & extremely unprofessional if I could give this business -5 stars I would.

They respond back that they won't have the part until the 13th. So...the two texts you sent that said you'd be here on the 11th were BS? And you waited for me to ask before you told me? This isn't a normal winter. Nothing is normal these days. It's ridiculous to need AC in February, but here we are. I don't have confidence this will be fixed before the weekend. I will gladly update my review if Stellar can prove to come through with a fix and, for once so far in our interactions, deliver true to what they told me. Right now, I'm dubious! The person who visited Monday and diagnosed the issue was knowledgeable and very friendly. When I called the project manager I was told that the job was done and they had no financial recourse for waisting my time, PTO, and making me miss my son's hockey game on the rescheduled date. They said well a door can't really be installed in that kind of time, then don't schedule it on a day when your told that a specific time is needed. Absolutely ridiculous, don't waste your time or money with these people.
