This review is solely on purchasing gas. Over the past few months, this location has become my go to for gas. Their prices are competitive and I like the fact that all their pumps tend to be in working order. Occasionally, my receipt does not print at the pump but that I am able to get one inside without much of a wait. Inside, they have the typical gas station/convenience store items available. They do a bit better when it comes to items like sandwiches, pastries, etc. as I am sure they source most of it from the Tom Thumb grocery store directly across the street. Another nice thing is unlike many other places nearby, there are never any 'undesirables' hanging around the entrance (or the gas pumps) which is a big plus. Access to this station is fairly easy as it's rare for traffic to backup in the area. Lastly, while I have never used it, they do have an air compressor available to take care of any low-tire-pressure needs. read more

Kudos to whoever runs this place. After 5 or so years of existing this place is still pretty clean. Never any riff raff hanging around. There is a security guard in the store 90% of the time so I always feel safe. Inside the Tom Thumb express you can find all of your typical gas station favorites and treats that kick it up a notch. Pastries, sandwiches and things like that from the Tom Thumb across the street. Yes! This area of Dallas has seen extreme new growth and development in this area. What was only a few years ago,an economically obsolete region in the shadows east of downtown Dallas,is now heavily populated with high density apartments,high rises and townhomes. Tom Thumb pioneered the area with a new grocery store( kudos to them for placing an oasis in a food desert) down the street. This is their version of a convenience store and it is fairly typical. I did choose to buy one of their plain glazed donuts for the one bite Test. It wasn't worth a second bite. Very dry...Ironically a donut at a Tom Thumb by my house has the best glazed in my search so far? You would think theyd come from the same bakery. The reason I stopped here was for gas. Due to my point build up I was offered a 40 cents a gallon discount... This is the second time this location has saved me when I looked down and saw the low gas Idiot light shining next to E! Bought something from behind the counter. Didn't realize until next day that they accidentally gave me wrong item. I thought would be a no brainer to simply exchange. They wouldn't do it. I asked for the correct item, but bc I didn't check their work (making sure they could listen and read), I lost $30. Nice people - we all make mistakes, but I cannot patronize a business that does not stand behind their mistakes. Thank goodness their is a family run convenience store across the street. read more

This is the best gas station I've been to in Dallas! Not an over exaggeration. They are so friendly, I am there a couple times a week and every time I get a wonderful greeting. It is ALWAYS spotless indoors and outdoor. They have a security guard on duty so it feels safer. I am a young women, and my biggest problem at any Dallas gas station is homeless men making inappropriate comments/gestures at me. I've never had to deal with any of that here. These people are the best! Great and kind service. My brother had left his phone in my car and I was 45 minutes from home on the way to Houston. Renee was kind enough to let me leave my phone st the front desk with my brothers name and number so that I wouldn't have to turn around and add an hour and a half to my trip. read more

I work next door to this store. I walk over there 2-3 times a day until the last 3 weeks. The Icee machine has been broken for the last 3 weeks. REALLY? So now I get in my car go around the corner to 7-11 their machine seems to always be working.....No one at this location has been able to say when or if the machine will ever work again... Also my boss goes over there every day about mid morning and for the last few weeks they have been out of muffins. Today they tell him they only receive 2 muffins of each kind is there anyway to get more muffins delivered to this location so they will last later than 7am.....They have also been out of the candy I like for several weeks. I purchased the last 2 they had several weeks ago and I guess they just haven't ordered anymore. read more
