I prepaid $20 for gas, but the pump suddenly stopped working before my tank was full. I went back to the cashier to ask why the pump had stopped after I had already paid. Instead of helping me, the Spanish-speaking lady at the register responded with a very poor attitude and began yelling at me in front of other customers waiting in line. She then said she was going to call the manager. I have lived in this neighborhood for about 10 years and have been a regular customer at this Chevron location for many years. During that time, I have never had an experience like this. I was disappointed by the way I was treated and felt embarrassed by the situation. I hope this matter can be addressed so that no other customer has to experience the same treatment I received this morning. I would appreciate a follow-up regarding this incident. Their prices are competitive and I like the fact that all their pumps tend to be in working order. Occasionally, my receipt does not print at the pump but that I am able to get one inside without much of a wait. Inside, they have the typical gas station/convenience store items available. They do a bit better when it comes to items like sandwiches, pastries, etc. as I am sure they source most of it from the Tom Thumb grocery store directly across the street. Another nice thing is unlike many other places nearby, there are never any 'undesirables' hanging around the entrance (or the gas pumps) which is a big plus. Access to this station is fairly easy as it's rare for traffic to backup in the area. Lastly, while I have never used it, they do have an air compressor available to take care of any low-tire-pressure needs.

Has anyone noticed that the new gas pump nozzles make pumping gas a Herculean task? It's impossible to use these new nozzles and not have petrol overflow from your car's tank. The seal of the nozzle has to be over the mouth, just right, or gas spills out down the side of your car. You also have to hold the new nozzles in a certain way or risk the pump shutting off every 10 seconds. Anyway, this particular station on Fitzhugh has been the only place in Dallas I have found where I can fill up my roadster and not break a sweat while doing it. I go out of my way to visit this gas station, solely for this reason. The attendants are also nice, and their prices are always a bit cheaper than other places.
