When it came time to do the work I guess I must have misunderstood bc they denied saying it. The two things pointed out were both to resolve when new cartridges were installed. That did resolve one problem but not the other. When it came time to pay they included a $200+ charge for diagnosing the hot water valve on an upstairs tub. When I pointed out they had misdiagnosed it they withdrew the charge. Further I asked the professional plumber what did he think needed to be done. When he told me he would need to break through the tile that the tub sat in to figure it out I drew the line, called the builder who gave us the contact for the plumbers who did the work at original build 5 years ago. They immediately sent out their plumber who diagnosed it on the spot as a valve behind a little door no tile needed breaking, that protects young children from getting scalded. They ordered the part, came back and installed two new massage shower heads checked every bit of plumbing and two hours later charged me $400 parts and labor. $125for the valve and labor total $400 and cleared every sink, all faucets one of which btw the initial plumber said needed replacement, made the entire house feel like all the plumbing was brand new. Do I recommend these guys at Anchot? Would you? Solid one star. They earned it.

I have used Baker Brothers two times prior to my request for air conditioning repair on Saturday, May 9, 2026. Baker Brothers sent Omar Perciado to my house on late Saturday afternoon. I told Omar that I was concerned for my wife's health, and I explained in detail that the AC unit was cycling on and off without cooling. He first checked the thermostat, and then he went outside to the compressor unit. After taking the cover off the unit, he put his monitoring equipment on the unit. Omar told me that there was a Freon leak that was likely in the attic unit. He said that the estimate for the labor charge would be over $2000.00. He also told me that the Baker Brothers price for Freon was $115.00 per pound, and that the unit would probably need ten pounds. I was, needlessly to say, shocked with his assessment and estimate, because he never went up to check the air exchange unit in the attic. I told Omar that I would get a second opinion, and I asked him to put everything back together as it was before. As I asked for his service bill, Omar said that will be $750.00. He said that he was joking to lighten the mood. I said that I did not find him funny under the circumstances. On Tuesday, l was able to schedule Kevin Betz (owner operator of Betz Heating and Air). Kevin checked the thermostat first, and then he diagnosed the air exchange unit up in the attic. He found that the blower had gone out. He left to get the part. He returned and installed the part. He checked the outside unit, and he told me that it did not need Freon. I asked Kevin how much does he normally charge per pound for Feron? He said $80 per pound. Thanks to Kevin, my AC was fixed within an hour for $360.00 including parts! Baker Brothers stop paying your technicians on commission and trying to take advantage of seniors.
