Legit FIVE stars! Came in to see friends for my birthday and she arranged the excursion for us. She found them through a Facebook page in her neighborhood and we could not have been more pleased. But let me scream from the tip of the island top - BLAYNE!!!! HE WAS THE BEST! It was just the two of us and Blayne and oh my gosh, the best experience. So professional, but not stuffy. He was so easy going, extremely down to earthy, very easy to give directions, allowed for questions, put us both at ease, laughed WITH us, great conversation, and it felt like we were h aging with our younger brother. The waves were a little more the expected in the other side of the island once we got there, so we couldn't go to that side. So what did he do? He took these two ladies on the water and we canoe surfed and we had a freaking BLAST! A BLAST. Some of the best money I spent on my entire trip. I know that Simian was very good at his communication with my friend up until the day of. You will not be disappointed with these guys at all. read more

I would say this is a must do! They are awesome. Our guide, David, was very attentive and knowledgeable. He really knew how to make the time fly by. Expect to see Marine life - a monk seal swam up to shore while we were on the island. Canoe surfing was so much! We were hesitant trying to canoe/kayak to the Mokul islands because we have a 7 year old but they can accommodate for families. read more

If you are looking for an exciting Hawaiian adventure, look no further! When my friend told me that she had booked us this outrigger canoe, I was skeptical at first. I was worried that it would be another overpriced inauthentic "tourist trap". Boy, was I wrong! Our guide/helmsman, Ulu, was the best! He was helpful, friendly, and informative, and he made us all feel so comfortable. Within minutes, we were cracking jokes with him. He was very accommodating to our wishes, and took the time to answer our questions and give us information about the area. He also works as a lifeguard, which helped put our mind at ease. Our trip was awesome! We were able to see sea turtles, seals, and native birds that were nesting. We hiked on the rocks, and explored the tide pools. We even came to a place known as the "Queen's Bath" where we could swim. Ulu gave us the local info, and made sure we had the best experience possible! On our way back we were able to canoe-surf, which was one of the funnest things I have done! Simeon was well versed on the wild and sea life that we came across and was great at spotting things that we would have otherwise missed. But let's be honest, we came for the adventure. Paddling out in the outrigger canoe was pretty amazing. We had a lower tide, with little wind, so we didn't get to "surf" as much, but Simeon made sure that we got a feel for it. We hiked around the island and even did a little cliff jumping. I would highly recommend a trip out with Simeon and We Go! Island Canoe, great organization, fantastic communication, punctual, and very friendly. If you don't take Beau's recommendation, feel free to use mine. I'm really glad me and my friends did this activity I couldn't believe that I actually did all the things I did even tho I don't know how to swim haha. Our tour guide I forgot his name (sorry) was so nice and even swam with us. I felt so comfortable swimming with my lifevest and even diving on the cliff and snorkling. These guys are great. My family and I had such a good time. We even caught some waves. You meet them out 'on the beach' right straight out from the channel, not where any of the 6 person outrigger 'Club' canoes are grouped. This is a 4 person outrigger with their experienced guide steering as the 4th person. So the fourth person in your group rides on a trampoline like tarp across the outrigger arms. We just took turns to give people a rest from paddling. You go out to a beautiful island about a mile out and walk around the island a bit before paddling back. Very low key and fun. They even made a video of the outing which is part of the cost. We plan on doing it again next time we return. BTW, they have 'dry bags' on board for all your phones and personal stuff you want to keep dry. read more

Simeon and Austin were absolutely awesome! They were extremely accommodating and willing to work with my group's schedule when planning our adventure. We met them both at the Lanikai beach park at 8am on a day that was scheduled to be super rainy and gloomy. I didn't think we'd be able to continue on with the adventure, but we made it work. I had been coordinating with Simeon for an entire week to make this adventure work since we were on a tight schedule (my friends and I were returning home that day). I'm glad it did because the overall experience was something I will never forget! We canoed to one of the two islands nearby the beach which is apparently a natural reserve for birds? Don't quote me on that. Hiked a bit to get to this sweet cliff jumping spot. It was my first time jumping and I must say that the experience was nothing less than awesome! In fact, I wish I would've squeezed in a few more jumps. It felt extremely reassuring to know that we had two experienced people with us to make sure we were all safe. I do believe Simeon is a lifeguard for the county. Anyway, after cliff jumping we ended up canoe surfing which was extremely fun. Be sure to block out a decent amount time in your schedule. I wish we would've been able to spend more time with them but unfortunately our schedule didn't allow for that. All in all, I have nothing but positive remarks to say about We Go! Island Canoe. These guys are super friendly, helpful, and accommodating which are qualities I find true to Hawaiian culture. If you want a more personalized and intimate "tour" packed with lots of adventure and fun, I'd highly recommend going with these guys. Hit em' up! Be sure to have them take lots of pictures/videos of you and your group using a GoPro! My group and I made the mistake of not asking for more pictures to be taken. What to bring? - set of dry clothes - swimsuits - towels They pretty much provide everything else you'd need and more - light snacks, dry bags, GoPro, canoe, oars, etc. You won't be disappointed! read more

I went on this Outrigger Canoe adventure for my 30th birthday and it was awesome! We paddled around the islands and went to a small Lagoon on the backside of one of the Mokulua islands. They were so nice! They catered to what we wanted. I wanted to surf waves and even though that there wasn't very many waves, we still was able to paddle into some. They brought drinks and snacks which was nice after the paddle and swimming. It was such a fun adventure and I'm looking forward to the next time! read more

This was one of the highlights of our trip to Oahu and the perfect activity for our family of five! The owner, Simeon, also works as a lifeguard and is friendly and knowledgeable about the Polynesian culture. Our three teenagers paddled the canoe with Simeon while my husband and I kicked back on the side tarps ~ that's the best kind of vacation! He took us out to a small island, Mokulua, where we saw monk seals, hiked on the rocks and explored expansive tide pools. There was a place where the water collected behind some rocks called "Queen's Bath" and the kids jumped in for a swim. The island was lots of fun to explore and Simeon brought snacks and water. On the way back, he showed us how to catch the waves and canoe-surf. We had an amazing time!!! Highly recommend outrigger canoeing if you're looking for something extraordinary to do and want a taste of local culture. read more

Great family outing! Went with my brother and 2 kids (9 and 6). Everyone had a great time. Canoe surfing is a blast!
