So happy my gf and I signed up for this amazing tour! We got picked up early in the morning around 7:50 and returned back to our place around 4pm. We got to see many beautiful places in the big island including sea turtles and final destination was the dole plantation. Also got to try different kinds of macadamia nuts in between tours and ended up buying 6 bags with different flavors to take back home. We were picked up at 7:20 am and got back to our drop off at 4pm! It was an all day adventure! We got to see a blow hole, tons of mountains, hear lots of old Hawaiian stories and history! Our tour guide, Nevin, was amazing (he totally looks like a Targaryen from game of thrones). We stopped for lunch (not included) and it was super yummy! All different kinds of shrimp options. Or chicken strips. My favorite part, obviously, was snorkeling with the turtles! We saw probably 4 or 5 huge turtles in the hour that we were there. Booked through groupon for my daughters birthday , they picked us up in a van around 7:15 then we grabbed a few other families , it was a small and more intimate group only 6 of us , but man was it a blast ! every one was very friendly , we shared some chocolate caramel macadamia nuts , even decided to all swim together when we went snorkeling! The weather wasn't too pleasant quite windy and cloudy a lot of road closed to a marathon , but that did not STOP JUSTIN from giving us personality , laughter , culture and fun ! Everything he talked to us about and showed us he seemed to really enjoy the facts about the island he was telling us , it felt more like i was being guided by my fun friend who knows a whole bunch about hawaii ! While we have been on many tours, Kurt was so fun (and funny!), informative, kept us all punctual and really taught us a lot about Oahu, which is saying a lot as we've been to the island before, have been on many tours and already knew a LOT! North Shore Circle Island Adventure Tour, Honolulu - highlights: Halona Blowhole lookout, Kuala Point, Dole plantation, Diamondhead, snorkeling on North Shore Good tour to some of Honolulu's main sightseeing spots & beach time for snorkeling. Booked thru Viator - Convenient pick-up spots in downtown Waikiki. Devin, the tour guide, was knowledgeable & friendly, a native of Honolulu, he added some local flavor about various spots & recent history/politics. This could be dubbed the "eat snacks around Honolulu" tour - along the route, we stopped for macadamia nuts, fresh fruit, rice & shrimp (lunch), shaved ice & Dole whip (ice cream). Bring cash for lunch & other stops where you might want to pick something up. It was about 7 hours, hitting some of the natural "must-see" sightseeing spots on the island. As several really are just stop-and-see type spots, the tour was a good way to catch them all in 1 day. But note on Diamondhead - this stop is on the outside of the mountain/crater, if you want to get to the top, make time to come back later for a hike; tourists have to make reservations in advance. The highlight was the swim/snorkel with the sea turtles stop. I imagined more of a swim among a school of turtles (its probably not called a "school") kind of thing, although maybe that would've been a little scary,  as they are kinda big. (Note - the sea turtles are protected by federal law so if you see them, leave them alone.) We did see turtles, very close - but they were actually easier to spot when we were out of the water than while swimming. The little bay area is a nice, cool sheltered area to swim & snorkel and was a fun swim break in the middle of the tour. Small bus, about 18 people on the tour, mostly family groups. I went solo on this tour and it was fun - so if you aren't sure about going alone - go for it! read more

I've been on a lot of different tours and excursions in Oahu and Maui. This is by far the best and my favorite tour. Kurt and Victor made the entire experience. Each stop and location were perfect in terms of timing and photo opportunities. The history behind the tours were so very much appreciated especially when Kurt has you laughing till your stomach hurts. You learn some fascinating legends, trivia and background, such as the battle of the flying fish. The stop at the fruit stand was fun and the Shrimp plate was the best I've had on the island. I would recommend booking this tour at least the first or second day of your trip to get a sense of the true beauty of Oahu. Snorkeling was short, but I had no problem with that. read more

Found this tour sort of last minute but so glad we did! Great price offer and great experience. It was my first time in Hawaii so this tour really showed me what the island offers other than just the Waikiki strip. Both Domian and Justin were great guides! We took the tour with Kurt and Harry, and it was an A+ experience. We went as far east as Diamond head and as far west as the Dole Plantation on Kamehameha highway, so we covered a lot of ground during this day-tour. We stopped by many interesting sites along the way, and in-between those sites Kurt always had something interesting to share about the island and its history. Our group was small(less than 20), and by the end we all felt a little like 'ohana.' Kurt is awesome and really made the tour as great as it was. If I had any critique to give at all, it's 1. to not order the Chicken Katsu for lunch, and 2. don't get your hopes up for seeing anything but a turtle or two on the snorkeling excursion. For $14+ the chicken katsu portion was average, coming plain(no option of curry sauce) with white rice and a small dollop of Hawaiian dipping sauce - the whole thing will leave your mouth pretty dry. The shrimp option on the other hand was nice and saucy - definitely go with that. We were promised the chance to see turtles, no guarantees, and luckily we got to see 2 of them at the north shore snorkeling spot we were brought to. They were pretty cute. Unfortunately that was it; the rest was murky sand and brown rock - no colorful coral or fish. Those are the only nits I could pick. Overall this is an excellent island tour and I give it an A+. read more

I want to start off by saying how chill and easygoing our tour guide, Mike, was. He was genuine and as down to earth as you can get. His transparency was awesome and he made us feel very comfortable. My mom had to use the bathroom 30 seconds before the bus arrived and I was so nervous that we would miss the bus if she wasn't there right on time. He looked at me and said, "We're on Hawaiian time, it's all good!l!" Throughout the ride he was very informative and funny. This is the real deal! He respected the wildlife and followed all the rules. Sonny, our driver, got us everywhere safely and in a timely matter and was super chill as well. Just a heads up people.... Respect the fact that Mike is talking and trying to inform you about the area, he had very cool info to share and the two ladies behind us would. Not. Stop. Talking over him! The entire time!!!! OMG! Best tour yet! We took the island tour with snorkeling and it was the best! I sat in the last seat on shuttle so I couldn't hear our tour guides name, but I'll include him in a pic so y'all will know. We went to the north shore, took us to see pineapple fields, where King Kong-Jurassic Park- 50 First Dates and some older movie something Eternity lol was filmed. The views were freaking awesome! He was so knowledgeable, I learned a lot. I had never been snorkeling and it was just the best. The area we went to for snorkeling was awesome, the turtles were with us!! Though we couldn't get close to them, we were still close enough for some awesome pics n videos. I loved it!! I did not care for the lunch option, so if you can wait to eat save your $20 or just eat the fried bananas ..yum! I totally recommend the tour! Do it! Mahalo read more

This trip completely exceeded all of my expectations!! The thought of waking up early for an 8 hour tour of the island seemed like it would not be worth it. Kurt and Harry are a dream team who made every second awesome. Harry the driver got us to each destination safely and in a timely manner. Kurt is by far the best tour guide I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. 8 hours with him went by in the blink of an eye. He made the trip entertaining, informative, and extremely memorable. You can tell he loves what he does and takes great pride in having fun while sharing credible and important information on Hawaii's history. The tour itself made plenty of stops and we got to do a lot without it being overwhelming. I'm not sure how we would have experienced so much of the island without this tour.
