If your going to tour the island this is by far the best way to do it hands down!!! Jarmi is amazing at what she does and clearly born to do it. My sister and I went with our grandma, (whose 86 years old) to Hawaii and the tour was by far her favorite part! Very seldom do I give five stars , but this young girl knows the island . Private tours are her specialty , and well worth it . You must use Jarmy to take you around the island of Oahu. She is so personable and informative. I know so much more about the Hawaiian culture now. For instance, many of us think the Shaka sign has to do with surfing or "Hang Loose." It originated as a type of finger-wagging the sugar-came farmers, who often were missing digits from chopping the cane, used to scare away the children who would come to steal the sweet cane to suck on. The children then used the sign to signal one another and now we have the commonly used Shaka as a classic Hawaiian sign. Our stops included the Dole Pineapple Plantation, Waimea Valley Waterfall, a macadamia nut farm, the Buddist temple, Chinatown, the mountains Jurassic Park was filmed on, and many other breathtaking places. Lunch was fantastic! Went went to a shrimp farm where local families have worked generation after generation. It was a full day, let me tell you! But, how nice to be driven around and catered to (she provided the best Hawaiian treats). We were able to focus on the sights and not the road. Loved it!! Thank you, Jarmy! read more

Malama tours is an absolute must while visiting Hawaii. After several stellar recommendations my family and I decided to book our tours with Jarmi over at Malama Tours and we couldn't have been happier. Jarmi is a wonderful guide. We went with her to tour the North shore on one day and the East Side the day after, and both days she made sure we had a great time. We would highly recommend touring with Jarmi compared to the other bus tours because you can be flexible with timings(especially if you have young kids), choose locations that interest you and above all with Jarmi you get someone who is extremely knowledgeable about the island and makes the whole outing fun! She even recommended getting lunch at Fumi's along the North shore which was an absolute favorite.. the spicy garlic shrimp was awesome!
