We particularly loved the Oahu Island Tour. Our tour guide, Ian, was excellent and I can do that tour all-over again! We love Ian - so relatable to any age group! We also really liked our Pearl Harbor Tour. We also love our tour guide, Moe for the Luau tour, that makes off the mediocre Luau we got from Paradise Cove to say the least. Pros: Getting to see other parts of the island. Cons: Just about everything else. I was in the third row and I couldn't guide the tour guide very much at all. Also, he only asked questions of / listened to the opinions of those in the first two rows. That led us to skip some of the stops I was looking forward to (that were listed on the website) and add some that I had absolutely no interest in. Also, the main attraction for me was the waterfall, which was closed the day of the tour. Instead of apologizing and giving a backup plan, the tour guide just basically said, "oh well" and that was the end of that. The tour guide also didn't facilitate any interaction amongst parties on the tour, even though he said he was going to. As a result, it was a bit of awkward experience. Great tour around the island. Has a few tourist site stops. Time goes by quick during the stops but still overall time is about 8-10 hours for the whole day. The hike was cool $20 entrance. Just disappointing that swimming wasnt allowed due to a lack of rain on the island. The paddleboard on the river was fun and relaxing. Great for beginners to learn. Plenty of sea turtles in the river to see. Food stop was actually really good. Garlic spicy shrimp plate was amazing. We went with Ian on the NSBB circle tour 30% sightseeing and 70% activity. Out of the 3 circle tour I have experienced, it was by far the best. Ian was informative, funny and had a lot of insider information he was willing to share. Beside the garden and waterfall visit which was awesome, Ian took us to Blue Planet Adventure Sports were he arranged a tour guide to take us up a water way from near the beach inland. It was an amazing kayaking and SUP experience. (Side note: BPAS equipment is top notch!) We seriously stopped counting when we saw the 20 turtle in the water and basking in the sun. Yes, we saw more then 20! Truly an awesome and new way to see the turtles!!! The whole day was amazing. Thanks Ian and NSBB!!! read more

We had such an amazing tour with Kurt & Philip! Kurt was the curator for our tour & Philip our great driver! They were on time for pick up and was so well organized with their stops and time allotted for each stop! We saw so many amazing sights! He broke down so much history and gave insights into the island that we would never know unless we did this tour! The vehicle (shuttle) was super clean, sanitized, and air conditioned, kurt was always checking in with group to make sure we werent too hot or too cold...he was just an all around considerate guide! We got to every spot on time and always just before the other buses got to the locations, so we always arrived just before the mass of other tour buses so we didn't have to wait in long lines to get our food, enter into Waimea park, or Dole plantation...his timing was impeccable! He made us laugh and engaged everyone on the bus, so by the end of our tour, we truly felt like ohana! (Family) He pointed out different celebrity homes as we made our way to the North Shore and stopped at every listed location posted in the tours description, he even touched on Hawaiian mythology and history, from wars, to Gods...he was just so knowledgeable in every way! When it came time for the physical activities, we chose to kayak (additional charge and operated by another side company) but you get the choice to paddleboard or kayak....the guys at that spot were also very helpful and nice! Then we had the choice to either swim at a North Shore beach or hike at the Waimea botanical park and see the beautiful waimea waterfall....we chose Waimea and was so glad we did as the park is FULL of nature, greenery, flowers, and trees! Last stop was the famous Dole plantation where we obliged in some delicious Dole Whip!!! This was an amazing and memorable day for my family and I...we were smiling and laughing the whole way and made so many memories to last a lifetime! You can tell Kurt & Phillip love what they do and enjoy sharing their island with their guests! I highly recommend this tour if you're looking for sightseeing and active exploration! For your reference, i went with my 12 year old daughter, my 68 year old mom, and 74 year old aunt and was way appropriate and manageable for us all (the elders didnt kayak though, lol :) but there was a nice restaurant/bar that they could relax and still take in the magnificent views! We LOVED Kurt and Eric!! It was a terrible, no good, weather day and paddle boarding and snorkeling was canceled. We had so much fun. They filled in with treks off the beaten path and fun stories, star home tours. We spent some time in Haleiwa. Our stop at Tsue's was delicious! All I could think of was thank goodness we hadn't planned a beach day and how much fun to see waterfalls and the tropical verdant green of the Island of Oahu. As the day went on, I stopped being annoyed after remembering that it's literally his job to entertain and educate us. And that he did! Damien has an incredible wealth of knowledge about the island that he shares throughout the entire tour. Both tour guides love what they do (you can tell in the genuine care they show everyone on the bus). Highlights of the tour include: jumping off the huge rock at Waimea Beach, snorkeling in Hanauma Bay, exploring beautiful north shore beaches, learning about the history of Hawaii...the list goes on and on! Our bachelorette party was supposed to go to the Dominican Republic but got derailed by the devastating hurricanes :( We decided on Oahu and I was excited, but I had already been several times before and I wanted to try something NEW.... When the girls mentioned going on a tour bus I was not looking forward to it. All the other tours I've been on there was too much sitting in the bus, it was boring, and I am so over saying "ALOOOOOOOHA!" when going to Hawaii. You get none of that on this tour. Some of the highlights were paddle boarding down a river and my absolute favorite - rock jumping at Waimea!! I still can't believe our tour guide, aka "Tour Bae" got most of us girls to do it. This is my family's first time in Oahu and we wanted a bus tour that gives our money's worth. Well, Doug and Eric did not disappoint us. They were on time in picking us up at the designated place. On our way to our first tour destination, Doug gave us our itinerary for the day. He gave us a background on who he is and ask us to introduce ourselves. This is a small group (around 20). He gave a history of the Hawaii Islands and of the polynesian people. It was very educational for me, my wife and children. Doug was an active participant on the tour. He gave us a background of every place we went - the dangers, the fun stuff and what to avoid and scams are. He jumped with us at Jump Rock in Waimea Bay. Helped us with our lunch, ate with us and taught us how to paddleboard at Tsue's Farm. He told us what we need to see and experience at the Dole Plantation. Since guided tours are not allowed in Hanauma Bay, Doug briefed the group in how we are to prepare ourselves in putting our fins and snorkeling gears on, and where to find wildlife. For a guy from New Hampshire, who has been in HI for 11 years, Doug has a lot of knowledge he shared with us, like hiking trails, celebrities' homes, history of plants and animals in the islands, great places to eat and for happy hours, current events, This tour is great if you do not know your way around Oahu! Absolutely amazing. I'll first start by saying, Kurt was fantastic. The day prior, he called informing us of our pick up location and time. Pick up was prompt and smooth. The ride around the island was beautiful and Kurt was extremely informative. Throughout the trip, we made multiple stops and the time spent at each location was sufficient. Shrimp at Fumi's was delicious. Best shrimp on the island! The driver, Teo (sp) got us around safe and sound. He even stopped to let us see sea turtles along the beach. The bus ride was smooth and allowed for great views. If possible, try to book a tour with Kurt! He is the man. What an amazing adventure!! The bus picked us up on time from our hotel, as we rode to the North Shore our tour guide downloaded us with lots of information about Hawai'i from actors houses' to wave height and everything in between! He was a bit funny so that was an added bonus. We had a group of 7 people (which it can be hard to please all 7 simultaneously) and the guys did more than that!! They had so many options, paddle boarding, surfing, botanical garden, snorkeling, cliff jumping, turtle beach and more!!
