Tour was very misleading. Kap did not seem like he enjoyed his job and told us very little as we drove. The beach stop was rocky and couldn't be snorkeled in. I've been to many beaches on this island and I'm not sure why this operator would choose to beach. it was my first time doing a guided tour like this and I would definitely recommend it for anyone's first time to Oahu! big shout out to our tour guide, jake and driver, (uncle) wang! jake was super friendly, kind, funny and personable. he made an effort to talk to everyone on the tour bus which was nice since we were spending like 9+ hours together I really appreciate the thought that went into the itinerary and how smooth everything was. managing a group of 50 people is not an easy task and I appreciated all the thoughtful things they did to make the day go smoothly such as airdropping/texting us all the menu for the shrimp restaurant prior to arriving and collecting payment so food would be ready when we arrived. they also provided cold bottled water and chips but you're welcome to bring any food/snacks with you. I was worried about the pick-up being difficult based on other reviews but it actually went really smoothly. there are usually multiple tour buses at the pick-up location but if you don't know which one to get on you can call their phone # to get the bus # or just ask the people standing outside the buses! tips: you only get 40 min at the dole plantation so to maximize your time I would suggest getting your ice cream from the truck outside (they sell the same things inside the gift shop but the line was shorter outside when I went). if you want to ride the train it's 20 min and I think they only run every 15-20 min so definitely get in line quickly. you can also get dole whip in waikiki so you can prioritize the train. read more

I enjoyed Aloha Circle Island Tours. My tour guide was Milo, and he was so funny, energetic and friendly! Everyone and I was taken to so many places around the island such as the beaches, Fumi's Kahuku Shrimp restaurant (the best shrimp ever), Leonard's Bakery truck, the Macadamia Nut Farm, the Dole Plantation, and more. As Milo was driving the bus, he gave us information about the Hawaiian culture and pointed out celebrity homes as well. The tour even included an opportunity to snorkel for an hour. Glad we decided to go on this tour. The blowhole was absolutely stunning, clear and warm water. The temple was gorgeous and our kids loved feeding the koi fish and birds. We were blessed to have a Native Hawaiian, Aka, one of the last remaining "pure blood" Hawaiians as our guide. To say he was an amazing representative of the Hawaiian people and culture is an understatement. It's like saying Duke was a good swimmer/surfer. Duke was legendary and so is Aka. Before we came to Hawaii, my wife suggested we look for a tour around Oahu and I came across the Circle Island Tours on Google. Overall the ratings were excellent so we booked it for the day after we arrived - thinking this will give us a nice preview of what the island has to offer. Yesterday we had our tour with Nani Popolo and he was an absolute all-star!! He really gave us a great experience with his humor, knowledge, and laid-back attitude. The music he chose also gave a relaxed feeling to the trip. He is also willing to share his North Shore beach guide with anyone who adds him on Instagram. Every stop had something new and interesting to check out. My wife and I really enjoyed the botanical garden stop, it is really a beautiful sanctuary. To be honest, two of the stops were just gift shops (Macadamia farm and Dole plantation), but it's more to get an idea of what's out there, than to really get to explore each individual location. However, the coffee at the macadamia farm was incredible, and I love pineapple so the Dole float was amazing; so we still enjoyed these stops. WORTH IT!!! Keoki was absolutely amazing. Me and my husband had a amazing time. It was such a great way to see the island in a efficient and fast way. Just the right amount of time at each stop. Such amazing sights and the crew was amazing at all times. Keoki was so nice knowledgeable and answered any and all questions we had. I highly recommend this tour! As a tour guide myself I am always interested in the skills and techniques of other tour guides and our guide Kona was fantastic. An all day tour means the guide has to have a huge amount of knowledge, great attitude, lots of patience and Kona delivered all that! This tour will give you many photo ops at the beautiful beaches on the Windward Side and North Shore, you'll stop at an authentic shrimp truck (get the spicy garlic lemon shrimp or the coconut shrimp- both excellent!), snorkeling with turtles will change your life and a stop at the Dole plantation is the icing on the cake! I booked this tour on Groupon and they had the best deal among the island tours. I was skeptical about the experience with the price, however, we had a great experience! Our tour guide was cousin John Jr. and he was very knowledgeable, funny, and even serenaded us with multiple songs along the ride. The tour is from 6:30 am to about 3-5 pm for drop offs. We traveled in a small group so it was a fairly small bus which was perfect for navigating the island. There were several stops along the way where you can explore, take pictures, or buy souvenirs. They also provide you with the famous Poi Donuts from Kamehameha Bakery for breakfast. Stops included Diamond Head Lookout, Macadamia Nut Farm, Dole Plantation, etc. You even get time to snorkel with turtles, however, you can't touch them per the law. There isn't a lot of time to explore the activities at Dole Plantation because the lines will take you 45+ mins. You can bring your own lunch if you don't want to eat at Fumi's Shrimp when they stop for a lunch break because it is not included in the tour and each meal is ~$13. They do sell the dole whip here as well so you don't have to wait in line at Dole Plantation if you don't want to. Overall, we had a great time on the tour and learned a lot of Hawai'i! We were able to explore the island without having to worry about driving and directions. read more

Easy, Scenic++, cheap, fun - THE BEST TOUR EVER! Our Family had a wonderful Hawaiian Pride America cruise and on the last day we had to get off at 7AM. I had booked a Red Eye nightime flight back to mainland meaning I would be stuck for 12 hours in Honolulu hauling my luggage around; hot and bored (No Bueno). The cruise ship suggested this Circle Tour at $179 but I waited too long and they closed the day before so I missed booking through them . We left the cruise ship at 7am, I phoned 866.482-9775 the day of and they picked me up within an hour as a "walk on" and only charged me $60 - how cool is that! I had a spectacular guide, Keoke (probably spelled name wrong, sorry). WE SAW EVERYTHING from a nice A/C minibus and learned so much about Oahu's history, social issues, lifetyle, and foods - all while laughing along with our energetic guide's jokes about the area and people. This is one of those chance events that I booked on a whim and I surprised myself about how absolutely fun and scenic it was. Our Guide's energy made the trip great and kept us laughing the whole time. Hands down the BEST part of this tour was having cousin Maya as our tour guide. Legit had me cracking up soo much. Never a dull moment with his witty jokes and delivery of information/history. He loves what he does and he loves to see his guests enjoy and get the most out of their tour. He showed this by making extra stops to show us things out of the way or by simply Caritina the tour to everyone's needs. The only part that didn't meet my expectation was the snorkeling segment. The area where we were allowed to be at was small and confined. Due to the crowding there was a lot of dust in the water making visibility less than none. In an attempt to venture out a little further, the snorkel guides who were assigned to us were rude and un accommodating to our needs. We had a pregnant friend with us who did not snorkel and was asked to leave the shaded part of the beach and sit in the sun until we were finished because she was outside of our "area". The morning of pickup there were more people than shuttles and they actually seemed surprised. 2 more shuttles eventually showed up and we were finally our way about an hour later. Stops were ok. 1st at a lookout then at a Kahala rl5 star resort hotel to see some dolphins on their property. Then we stopped a the blowhole (that was a great stop). Then we went to a Macadamia Nut Farm for shopping (?) Then to a shrimp shack (tasty but orders kept getting mixed up). We stopped at a fruit stand (pricey) before heading to Dole plantation and we only had 10 mins there as we were stuck in traffic and arrived late. Overall I don't think it was worth the $110 but cars are hard to rent right now so we didn't have much choice. Almost feel like drivers may get some kind of commission for stopping at the stores. Also, the tour bus was well air conditioned and clean. Cons- this company is very unorganized. They don't pick you up on time, and to be honest I don't even think they know who they are picking up the day of the tour. It was complete chaos the start of our trip. A lot of passengers kept complaining about the disorganization. You don't really know where you're going once on the shuttle. You just get on the shuttle and ride. It would be nice if the driver would mention where our next stop would be so the passengers had more of an idea. I guess they figure if you look on their website they mention where they will take you. Overall you get what you pay for. read more

Booked this tour on groupon and it was the highlight of our vacation to Waikiki. Milo was our tour guide and he was funny, informative, and very entertaining throughout. We did the 16 point tour with the snorkeling and my boyfriend and I swam with the sea turtles. Milo made sure to point out all the touristy spots on the way as well as pointers that the local Islanders know. The tour includes a visit to the macadamia nut farm, the dole pineapple factory, and china mans hat lookout, among other sights. Henry our bus driver/tour guide was awesome!!!! He knew so much about everything. All day tour so plan accordingly (about 10 hours). Only 1 hr snorkeling (and NOT at a great location). That actually was very rocky. And waves kept knocking us over. So no snorkeling after all and many cuts and bruises all over. Dole is after snorkeling which sucked cuz you are sandy and soaking and then you go to Dole for 30 mins only. If I can change one thing I would have swimming at end after Dole. Pickup and dropoff not far from hotel. I would recommend for sure as the Groupons save you money and its worth it! Especially when you get a great tour guide!! read more

Our tour guide Neil was amazing and had so much knowledge of the island and it's history! Expect to be in the bus most of the day though. The website videos made it seem like you'd have a lot of time and activities at each stop making it an all day experience, but it's mostly a lot of driving. Had great views and scenic tour of the entire island though. Snorkeling with the turtles was an upset. They give you an hour and set you free at the beach but your on your own to find the turtles and use your equipment. Also one of the main reasons why we booked was for the Dole Plantation, which is unfortunately closed on Wednesday's but we had no idea until about half way though the tour. If you tend to get cold, bring long sleeves But it gets hot later day. J.J gave us a Hawaiian donut and a water at first stop. Sunrise with a donut together was an amazing combination. I booked a tour months in advance with an associate. Called to confirm the week prior and get confirmation of pick up location (it wasn't clear on the reservation). We waited at the pick up location for 20 mins. All the other tour buses came and got their customers- no one came for us. Called the company - straight to VM. Tried to message them - no reply other than "they were on a tour" yeah, the one we were allegedly sold. Emailed the contact provided - which looks to be a legit email.... No reply.
