We had a wonderful day! The tour was long and our tour guide Rob kept us entertained the whole time. He shared tons of stories about the island. Unfortunately this tour was a complete dud. Part of me did not want to post this review because I felt bad but I think it's only fair to warn others. Our tour guide Rob, made this tour insufferable. The entire tour he did not take a break from talking.. I am not exaggerating. There was only a 10 minute break when he was promoting his brother's music the last 30 minutes into the tour. To be fair, it's clear that Rob knows his stuff when it comes to Hawaii and its culture. It's just too bad that he rambled on about anything that came across his mind the entire 9 hours we were on the bus... literally from how people were driving, to how the police "know" him, to even "grass" on the island, and on several occasions he sang/YELLED into the mic when he didn't have anything to say. Everything. Yelled. Into. The. Microphone. We heard more about his family and what they do/how he views the government than we learned about Hawaii and the supposed tour we were on. He would constantly ask how his jokes were doing to the group and when no one would respond he would ask AGAIN then sarcastically say "thank you family, your enthusiasm is helping me here". At a few points he asked if anyone wanted to take the mic, clearly annoyed he wasn't getting the reactions he wanted, and when no one would respond, he would state "This isn't as easy as I make it look, ya". There was an intermission and some women in the restroom got asked directly from Rob how he was doing (he asked me too but I was too uncomfortable to be honest) and she said she politely said "I think you should probably just stick to the script and talk about Hawai'i" and he gave her a dirty look until she walked away. I know because he mentioned it 36 times, he has been doing this for over 20 years, but it's clear he does not know how to read his audience. There were many people that were very uncomfortable with how he was running the tour, some outwardly ignored his direct questions entirely. I was extremely jet lagged and was looking forward to a calm tour around the island but this was not the tour for that and you could not pay me to take this tour again. PROS - the stops are beautiful and are picture worthy, and the food ei spicy garlic shrimp and dole plantation is great. Many stops along the way offer gift shops so you are able to shop while on this tour. +1 star CONS - No where on this tour does it say the food (lunch) is not included. It would have been nice to be told ahead of time to have the option to make prior accommodations as 2 meals with drinks were $40. We didn't visit all the spots that were listed, instead skipping the local fruit stands and the temple, perhaps more but those were the ones I noticed. If you are planning on taking this trip, I urge you to either have aaallot of alcohol at your disposal or have two sets of noise cancelling headphones as my one pair did not do me justice. read more

The sites were beautiful, but unfortunately, our tour guide named Rob talked nonstop for eight hours, he thought he was a comedian and always asked us if we thought he was funny. We learned more about his family and how amazing he thought he was in surfing , we even had to watch a video of him on his phone and hear how everybody knew him. I was ready to rip off my snorkeling earplugs off of my mask to put in my ears, I couldn't even talk to my husband or to any other guest because he never shut up, saying anything that popped into his head, or sang a song , he just ramble way too much. We only got silence the last half hour as he was driving us all back to our Original points. It was The longest day of our whole vacation! I barely ever write reviews but after sitting on the bus for about 10 minutes I knew I had to. Our tour guide Rob made the bus ride unbearable. When I say he spoke the ENTIRE time we were on the bus, I wish I was exaggerating. He was loud, obnoxious, rude and arrogant. 80% of the time, he wasn't even speaking about things related to the tour! I was forced to learn more about his family, religion and values more than the island itself! He wouldn't even allow small talk amongst ourselves on the bus and would get angry if we ever tried to and passively aggressively tell us to stop. He was relentless with his questions about how well he was doing, how 'caring' he was, how great of a driver he was etc. He'd look into his rear view mirror and stare at us all until we gave him a response he was happy with. Honestly, I felt like we were in his prison and he was our prison guard the entire time on the bus. He was THAT controlling. He'd ramble for about 10 minutes about nonsensjcal things before he'd let us off the bus at EACH stop, it was exhausting!! Honestly, by about midway through the tour we were all so mentally drained. I feel like he sucked the life right out of everyone on that bus. I'm writing this review to prewarn anyone that's thinking of taking this tour. The tour and stops we made were actually great but Rob robbed us of an enjoyable experience. Please make sure you request for a different guide if you're thinking of signing up. read more

What a beautiful island to tour! what a gorgeous day we had! Oahu does not disappoint. Too bad my guide Rob was manic all day; talking in a stream of consciousness monologue and forcing everyone to respond to his questions and jokes whether or not you wanted to. Since when do you not get to talk to your family on a tour bus because the driver wants your UNDIVIDED attention so much that he shames you for it? Turned a beautiful tour into a trial where we constantly had to listen to him talk, sometimes about the island but mostly about his way of thinking, philosophy on life and experiences. What cultural aspects he meant to share were buried in the nonstop blather of his nonstop self chatter. Also there is no benefit in speaking down to your tour bus calling us , sarcastically " the best group ever" because we didn't appreciate your bad jokes! Told loudly through a microphone no less! Tour itself with no Rob is probably a 5! Hard not to love and appreciate the beautiful island of Oahu but several stars down for hiring the tour guide who openly disdains his passengers and constantly talks about tips the whole day around the tour. He talked the whole way there and back on a very loud microphone. He told stories that had nothing to do with the tour, and passed his phone and books around the bus. The Dole Plant/Farm tour was on our list of spots for visit but I highly regret visiting. Why: The Train tour: by far the worst experience of the visit. This was because the audio playing telling you about the farm clearly was not updated. We took the circle island tour with Robert and it was a perfect experience. Robert was very personable and I like when guides tell stories from their experience and family experience. I liked learning about the history of the island and other stories like where celebrities live, about the surfing, and stories passed down about the island history. I loved the introduction to everything on the island and was able to take great pictures with all the stops we took. It rained a little bit off and on and Robert was accommodating and made up for the things we could not do. My favorite part was stopping at the beach to look at the turtles. I liked stopping at the coffee spots to get authentic Hawaiian coffee that is way cheaper than on Waikiki. Don't forget to bring cash for the lunch because it's cash only! read more

My wife daughter and I booked a trip the day before and Jared was our driver. He tailored the tour to our wishes and it couldn't have been any better. Well, I was hoping for some big waves at pipeline but it was an unusually calm day on the north shore that day. But everything in Jared's control was perfect and I learned a lot about the various areas of the island. Took family on a tour on Saturday 6/4/2022. All was well until we made a stop at the Makapuu lookout. Our driver parked blocking a bike lane. To begin with, we are cyclists and we know that blocking a bike lane is illegal. We were shocked when the driver saw a cyclist taking a photo of the tour van and proceeded to get off the bus and annihilate the cyclists. To their credit the people on the bikes never said a word but our driver was hurling the f bomb and insults one after another after another. It was really offensive and here we were stuck with her the rest of the day. Where is the Aloha from the locals? The fact that this "local" driver would just rip into other locals was appalling. She is the worst representative of your company. For this reason only we would never book this particular tour company again. Wish we would have had Paulo based on the reviews here. read more

On the schedule date and time of our tour Paulo called upon his arrival. He was 15 minutes early and greeted us was a friendly welcoming aloha spirit!
