September 2018 One month ago our family of 4 vacationed on Oahu for 2 weeks, a vacation we planned a year prior. As time got closer I began worrying about how I was possibly going to undertake all of the activities that our family wanted to do. There are so many opportunities yet the car rental, travel on unfamiliar roads to new places, obtaining ideal reservation times; all of this seemed daunting. Then I stumbled across Robert's website for Godspeed Adventures. What a game changer! I booked 2 full days with Robert and accomplished more in those days than I likely could have on my own in the 2 weeks we were on island. Let me tell you what made it so great. Godspeed Adventures is a private tour operator owned and run by Robert Crevier, a remarkable person. He knows Oahu backwards and forward. He knows the Hawaiian history, the roads, the activities, the locations, and the food. He also knows the folks who run the activities. Planning of activities is therefore limited to emails with Robert a few weeks before arriving on island. You look at activities on his website, or others that you discover on your own and Robert plans it all out. Robert knows when and where to go to see magnificent see turtles, where one might come across the endangered Hawaiian Monk Seal, where to eat lunch and where to jump off cliffs into the ocean. So let me tell you how it worked. Robert picked us up in his vehicle at our hotel at 8 am. It was fully stocked with snacks and drinks, loaded up with kayaks overhead. We headed for Diamond Head and hiked to the top, then drove to Waikiki Beach and played in the waves, then boarded a catamaran and sailed, then headed for the Waikiki Harbor to go parasailing. All along the way we learned history, heard anecdotes, with no hassle of GPS directions, parking, fees, reservations, food costs. Robert did it all. And he continuously shot pictures of the activities, the environment, and our family. We were exhausted when he dropped us off at our hotel, amazed at all we had done on day 1. The next day was even busier, visiting historic sites in the mountains,, hiking through bamboo forests to ancient King's summer home ruins, swimming in the ocean at multiple locations, snorkeling in Shark Cove, jumping into the ocean from rocks 25 feet high, eating at the famous food trucks on the North Shore. I cannot imagine any way I could have planned all of this on my own. Of course both days gave Robert the opportunity to discuss other things that we could easily accomplish on our own for the remainder of the trip. Our family hasn't stopped talking about our entire 2 week trip in general, but our comments and lasting memories seem to be the time we spent with Robert and Godspeed Adventures. Our next trip to Hawaii will definitely include Godspeed Adventures, probably for another 2 or possibly 3 days. I highly recommend this private tour company for your family vacation. While some might balk at the expense of hiring a private tour guide I would recommend reconsidering. The cost of travel to Hawaii is substantial, as are lodging costs. The Island has so much to offer that it becomes a challenge to sort what you will be able to do and what you will have to forego. For many families a Hawaiian vacation is once in a lifetime. Booking an adventure with Robert is the best way to make the most of your vacation, see the best parts of Oahu, and participate in the most activities. Ok, this review is about two months overdue and I almost selfishly want to keep Robert's awesomeness all to myself...but i can't do that to the world and to you my fellow yelpers. So, before I forget all the details of said awesomeness, here we go... Background: I was sent on a last minute work trip to Honolulu in connection with the Pro Bowl -- I decided I'd tack on an extra day for myself and explore. I wasn't travelling with anyone so i thought maybe a guided tour -- I am a BIG review person, and at the time of my search Godspeed Adventures wasn't even on Yelp (I KNOW?!?!) - I stumbled across a travel article that mentioned the Bucket List Adventure and I was intrigued. After a look through at the site I saw the Circle Island Adventure Tour and decided to go for it -- Robert was quick to respond to my request to book and extremely communicative about the trip. Even though it was a last minute booking, he rearranged some things to make it work -- I was totally overzealous and requested all the toughest hikes and Robert made some suggestions so that I didn't pass out by 11 am (which I was grateful for). Day-Of: I wanted to start before sunrise. Because you do that in Hawaii, right? He picked me up right at my hotel in Honolulu and we started at Koko Crater, a hellish but exhilarating hike that lands you at an amazing 360 degree view of southern O'ahu. We continued on and hit over a dozen locations, hikes, beaches, blowholes ALL over the island. I could list them all but you can find them on the "Circle Island Adventure" page on the website -- you do have some choices to make when it comes to your day -- when you want to start (you don't have to get up before dawn like me, but i definitely recommend it), how strenuous you want the day to be, or how relaxing. If you just tell Robert what kind of person you are (adventurous, athletic, laid back, whatever...) he'll tailor the experience just for you. Our day ended up lasting 13 HOURS, and i loved every minute of it, and slept like a baby that night -- it doesnt always last that long but we kind of just took our time and did everything we could before sundown. Things To Note: Robert packs snacks, water, soda, beer and wine. He gets you lunch and a light breakfast if you leave as early as we did. Things to bring include SUNCREEN, oh my god, sunscreen! Comfortable hiking clothes and shoes, also bring sandals and a change of socks..maybe even a change of shirt...it's humid there. You can bring a camera, i did, but Robert is honestly a fantastic photographer...seriously, i felt like i was on my own personal photo shoot all over the island (see pictures of my sweaty self) -- and he INCLUDES them for free...this is huge. I cannot recommend Robert and Godspeed enough -- It's like I spent the day cruising with an old knowledgeable Hawaiian friend instead of a tour guide. His recommendations were on point, his passion for the island and for what he does is infectious and you end up seeing parts of the island that you never would have thought to explore as a tourist. We took our first trip to Hawaii this past week to get married on June 17th! Since this was our first trip to Hawaii, I wanted to see and do as much as possible in our days there. While searching for stuff to do in Oahu, I came across Godspeed Adventures. After further research and reading about how amazing Robert and his tours were we decided we must do one! We had a group of 10 people in our party so we booked a circle island tour. From the first few email exchanges between Robert, Sitarani, and I, we knew it was going to be a great day in store for us! We started our day early since there was a lot we wanted to see and do and because there were so many in our group; Robert even reserved a larger van just to ensure that we would all be comfy and not so cramped. Robert and Sitarani picked us up bright and early to get our day started! First we went to the Kamehameha Kaniakapupu Ruins & Luakaha Waterfall...BEAUTIFUL!! Most of the people in our group are not regular hikers, and for those of us that needed an extra hand, Robert was there each time to help us climb over or across something. Was definitely an amazing experience and the views were breathtaking! The rest of our day included, shark cage diving for some people in our group, while they were busy doing that, Robert and Sitarani kept the rest of the group busy with visiting the Dole Plantation, we visited the Waialua Estate Coffee and Cacao plantation and did a short tour, and once all of our group was back together we all had lunch at a shrimp truck called Camerons...YUM! Moving along in our day, we all piled back in the van and headed to a beach to go swim with sea turtles!! Again, I reiterate that our group is not the outdoorsy/adventure enthusiasts type; so having a group that included 6 screaming girls being tossed around by waves, and some floating out to sea, while others were crashing into rocks...Robert remained so patient and calm and didn't seem even the slightest bit frustrated with our inexperienced group all while keeping us all safe and accounted for!! Following that, he drove us along the eastern shore of the island, while we munched away and had a couple of drinks, he was giving some interesting facts about the island! We got to make a quick stop at the Byodo-In Buddhist Temple in the Valley of the temples and got to take some amazing pics! Then off to parasailing we went! 5 people in our group took part in the parasailing, while the rest of the group hung out around Waikiki Beach. Besides getting married the day right before we went on the island tour; this was the best day of our 8 day stay in Oahu! Robert and Sitarani are the most easy going and fun people to be around; and its so cute to see how much in love they are! Our group of 10 all had an amazing day and we will be hitting up Robert and Sitarani again, if/when we make it back to the island! read more

(Written by my husband) Our first trip to Hawaii was one of epic proportion and it's all due to our incredibly kind and adventurous host Robert. Not gonna lie, the things my wife gets me into usually end up leaving me in a lot of pain but this go around I can honestly say Robert is your ONLY choice if you really want to see the island in a way that will leave you wanting more. Every place he took us was off the beaten path with no commercial bus tourist in sight. He was always one step ahead of them and we had a seamless day filled with one adventure after another. Yes, people...your day will be packed so be ready to have fun and keep an open mind. Simply put, not knowing what we were in for, Robert exceeded our expectations and then some. We started the day off swimming in the shark cage...BTW Robert will not judge you if you get a little sea sick;) He took us to places only the locals are aware of and even places most locals living on the island don't even know about. His knowledge of the island and its history is very impressive and, giving his kind gentle nature, Robert makes you feel like you're hanging with your best friend. We fed sea turtles at a location that I think only he, God and maybe a few other people might know about, cliff diving at the famous Waimea Bay, Pipeline, followed by the Buddhist Temple, old movie sets, Kaniakapupu Ruins, where we hiked through an amazing lush forest filled with water falls, streams and amazing plant life. Again, not one tour bus around, we hiked up a very special point on the island called Pali Puka, which gave us a 360 view of the island and some amazing pictures to boot. Additionally, Robert took almost 400 photos of us throughout the day so we could focus on having fun and taking in all that Hawaii has to offer. The one thing I would point out is to be honest when answering his questionnaire. This is how he builds your day around you. So if you say on an adventure scale of 1-10 that you live in the 8-10 zone (like my dear wife) of crazy adventurous fun then be prepared my friends, because you will have a day you'll never forget. The guy is a straight beast and his soon to be beautiful bride is just as crazy adventurous, kind and nice as he is. No two better people on the island! Expect a full 12-hour day and don't be ashamed if you decide to tap out a little early, ha-ha. In conclusion, Godspeed Adventures is worth its weight in gold. Robert will make you fall in love with Hawaii and you will start planning your next trip before the day is over. Remember when I said the things my wife gets me into. Not only is this the first time I've ever written a review (for anything), but I also created an account on here just so I could leave this review. Why go through all this trouble, you ask? Because Robert is worth it! It's the least we could do after all he did for us! Robert is amazing! I was hesitant at first about spending so much on "one activity" especially considering I've been to Oahu several times and have done so much there already, but I decided to take a chance after reading other positive reviews on here. I'm so glad I did! Not only was it worth the money spent, but I know I actually saved money in the end versus having done all the things we did individually. And the best part were the pictures Robert took of us the whole time. It was nice to be able to relax and let him handle everything! We booked the Circle Island Adventure, and from the moment we contacted Robert he was a shining example of what customer service should be. He spent time talking with us through email before our trip to ensure we'd get to do all we wanted, and he asked the right questions to be able to tailor the adventure to our needs and wants. He followed up with us several times and always made us feel like a priority, even though we knew he was booked solid every day (he's in high demand for a good reason). The day of the adventure was one we will NEVER forget! We gave Robert a list of things we wanted to do that day and he delivered on every single one, even though it meant spending 12 hours with us! He picked us up early, had snacks and cold drinks ready for us, and we headed out for our adventure. We did everything that day. We hiked through a tropical rainforest to a waterfall, saw giant sea turtles, stopped at several scenic beaches all around the entire island, visited the Dole plantation, Haunama Bay, North Shore (including the shrimp trucks), and even jumped off a cliff into the ocean! And when it came time to have lunch, we had a picnic at the beach, in which we went to the store and got to pick out whatever we wanted to eat and Robert paid! The bottom line: Robert is incredible and worth every penny. We had our own personal driver and tour guide for the whole day who knew the island, thought of every detail, provided meals, took pictures the whole time (INCLUDED in the price), and even gave us copies of the Hawaiian Islands DVD he sells! Let me give you the bottom line first... push the "book now" button and schedule this day of adventure with Godspeed! Hands down you will have a memorable day and probably knock off some of the things on your bucket list. Yesterday 5 of us spent the day with Robert cruising the island, kayaking, climbing Chinaman's hat, paddle boarding, chilling in a sea cave and somewhere after taking pictures of turtles and watching the pipeline competition for a bit, we ate at the best food trucks in the area, which only a local is going to know about. He picked us up at our hotel in a comfortable van loaded with all the equipment needed for a full day of adventure and dropped us off after we had totally trashed his van from our day of sand-filled fun. Godspeed tours is very different from the rest of the offerings out there, because you not only have the option of doing some exciting things on the island, but you have the benefit of doing them with a talented photographer and a lovely human being. Robert is seamlessly taking pictures all day of your group and then shows his amazing photos of your day on the ride back to your residence. Within a day of your memory making, he will send you the link to all your photos. In this way no one in your group has to worry about capturing memories with their cell phone throughout the day because Robert does it for you. All of us agreed, we felt like we had made a good friend by the end of the day. We are all returning in September and have already told him we'll be back. So hey Robert, hanging out in the shark cave and sky-diving is next on my agenda! See you in September! Go ahead and pick your tour and Robert will tailor the day to your interests and abilities. Robert does an outstanding job at showing you what Hawaii is really about. I normally don't do this create accounts and write reviews well this it totally worth it so other know about Robert and his business Godspeed Adventures. To me is how he caters to you and your needs or what you want to do. My whole family was there and it was seven of us on the tour that day, we all had our points we wanted to hit that day and we sure went over above and beyond that for sure. I know that the day we spent with Robert was the talk of our trip. I know that I wanted to plan more things with him while we were there but I know he was booked up. So I guess I will have to go back Hawaii and do more exciting things. I love sea turtles so I told Robert that the morning we started and he made it a point to get us somewhere to see some turtles. Well low and behold we saw a blow hole and then made our way over the cliff area as I call it and there was a sea turtle swimming right below me. Well it was my turn to jump and the little fella came up and looked at me as I waved at him and said hello I waited for him to swim away and I jumped. It was an experience like that which will be remembered by me and my family for a lifetime. Also he takes wonderful pictures and some you don't even know he is taking and video which you get at the end of the day and those are things you can hold onto forever. Overall this was an amazing day and something that is hard to put into words. Although this review is late in coming -we traveled in July/August- we remember our trip like it was yesterday!!!!! We especially remember our days spent with Robert and Sitarani!! We stumbled upon their webpage when we first talked of going to Oahu. And then, when we were ready to start booking, we couldn't find it!! Luckily, after hours of searching, we did!! And, we are so grateful for that! We had the honor of spending two full days discovering Oahu. And, we truly mean discovering. Had we left the airport on the highway and stayed only at our resort -which was lovely- we would have no clue what Oahu truly has to offer!! Thanks to Robert and Sitarani, we do! Hiking, cliff diving, dolphins, oh my!! We are a family of four ranging in age from 52 to 17. We can all say that our Godspeed days were the highlights of our trip! We hiked to waterfalls, swam with dolphin -yes, in the wild, swam with dolphin, just us!!!!!, saw turtles, looked at ruins, explored beaches and towns, sat on cliff edges, dove off cliffs, watched surfers, checked out caves....the list goes on and on. And, all the while learning about Oahu and its true charm! We can't thank Robert, Sitarani, and Godspeed Adventures for what they gave us: a vacation of a lifetime!! If you are looking for a cookie cutter tour full of hustling, bustling, rushing and crowds, than this is not your tour. However, if you looking for a personal tour without timelines, full of knowledge, fun and excitement (not to mention the pictures to add to your memories) than this is most definitely your tour! The highlight of our two week vacation to Oahu was with Robert at GodSpeed Adventures. The islands of Hawaii are a vacation hot spot so it was no surprise there were a million and one tours and activities that you can find on the world-wide web which was quite overwhelming. The first thing that caught my attention about GodSpeed Tours was that it was a private tour. I wasn't subject to being part of a large crowd on someone else's schedule. He offers so many different activities and sites to see that you are not limited to just one excursion. We chose to do the Circle Island Tour which is like an all-inclusive 5 star tour (Beach chairs, Drinks, Snacks, Lunch included)! Prior to our arrival I shared with him our interests and he provided detailed information on all of our options. He exceeded all of our expectations from pick up at the front door to drop off 12 hours later. Waterfalls, Blowholes, Sea Turtles, Breathtaking views at the end of a hike, Tide Pools, Cliff Dives the list goes on. Robert took us from one adventure to the next so seamlessly and to top it off he has a great sense of humor and a great deal of knowledge on the history of the islands. His passion and excitement is infectious and motivated each of us to have the experience of our lives. Did I mention he takes photos and videos during the entire day too? They came out phenomenal!!! You can't get a better deal for your money--my only regret is that we didn't have at least one more day booked with him. My wife and I did the wild spinner dolphin/sea turtle/sea cave adventure and also did a hike to a waterfall. The adventure was amazing! We hit up a gorgeous beach that isn't crowded with lots of people. We got to chill with the dolphins in their natural habitat. Robert's super SUP makes it easy to get in and out of the water. We saw sea turtles. We saw a coral reef area. We went and saw the mermaid sea cave which was cool. We had some lunch and headed to our hike. The hike was nice and the waterfall was beautiful! We were like the only ones there- private waterfall :) With Robert you get a small group setting (or even private like ours!) which he can cater to you and not like going on an excursion with 30 other people. It is all-inclusive meaning he picks you up/ drops you off, drinks, snacks, lunch, and equipment (super SUP, snorkel gear, go pro, ect.). He also takes hundreds of pictures and videos during your adventure and dropboxes them to you. Other places can charge a good deal of additional money if you want to have these keepsakes. I highly recommend Godspeed Adventures. Robert is great. He is very knowledgeable of the island as he has done many documentaries of the island. He can get you out for a great day of adventuring seeing and doing awesome stuff without having to battle the crowds! Book early and don't miss out. You won't be disappointed :) read more

Just returned from a 2 week Hawaii trip where the last 2 days were spent in Oahu. Having been there a couple times before, I wanted my husband to see some of the island's highlights while somehow avoiding the tourist traps. After reading reviews for various "circle the island" tours, I knew I had found the answer after discovering "Godspeed Adventures". True to what people said, this is definitely a 5-star experience, from the easy to know, incredibly friendly and knowledgeable guides, Robert and Sitarani, to the concierge-level service they provide making sure we had various snacks and beverages during the comfortable ride and stops. The day amounted to a Hawaiian safari where Robert customized our travels to our desire to see tons of animals (like feeding sea turtles from the beach in a spot only locals knew about to seeing black crabs along a secret blow hole), to gorgeous locations where he snapped some of the best shots my husband have of us and the trip. Because my husband is more adventurous, Robert even ensured he was able to get his adrenaline going with some cliff jumping, when he expressed interest. Of the entire 2 weeks in Hawaii where we had amazing excursions, we felt the time with Godspeed was top of the list. We'll be coming back to Oahu specifically to do more trips with Robert! read more

We did not skydive or swim with sharks (this time) so even if you are not that adventurous don't let that stop you. This is the best tour I've ever taken anywhere! I knew my husband was not going to like Waikiki so I wanted to book something that would show us the real Oahu. Everything we did was off the beaten path, at every stop we made we walked right past the groups and tour buses and got to see everything up close. We went on some fairly daring hikes (in my opinion) and even though I was quite scared Robert has no judgement and is incredibly helpful along the way. We got insanely amazing pictures (over 500) and he plays them on a slideshow in the car all day. We had snacks and drinks all day and did some great kayaking, jumped off a cliff and went to a secluded beach to swim with sea turtles. We were up close and personal with the turtles and got some amazing gopro footage. Next time I'm in Hawaii I would make a stop in Oahu JUST to do another tour with Robert (and would definitely skydive!) read more

Where to start - we spent a week on Oahu for our honeymoon and after some research online I found Robert and Godspeed. From the initial emails I could tell this guy cares about your day and what you want to get out of it. Initially we struggled to agree a day between our schedules but Robert managed to change some things his end and we got something in the diary. My wife is 6 months pregnant so we had to water down some of the activities and Robert worked around this so she could experience the most of the day still. The day itself started with Robert collecting us from the hotel at a pre-agreed time. I don't want to give anything away but Robert knows this island very very well. He chauffeurs you around giving information on the island throughout the day, but will also make it personal and you can chat and get to know each other. He provides lunch, and is always offering drinks and snacks he carries in the van. He snaps away throughout the day and the results are awesome - he sent us just over 400 images and a couple of videos from the day, some memories we will treasure forever. This was without a doubt THE best tour I have ever been on and have already recommended Robert to a friends son. Oh and we swam with turtles - what more can you ask for?! read more

There is no better way to experience Oahu than the Circle Island Tour with Robert! We got to do more in one day than most people do in a whole week long vacation. Also, we had people ages 13 - 66 in our party and everyone got the most out of the day. We started our day walking along the beach near Chinaman's Hat, then headed to the Byodo-In Temple, next stopped at the Pali Puka Lookout which is where the real adventure started. Robert took us on the most exciting hike we had ever been on up to the Pali Puka. After that we went on a easy hike to the ruins of one of King Kamehameha's homes. From there we headed in to Waikiki to get lunch and hop on a catamaran. We weren't done yet! From Waikiki we headed to the north side of the island to see the Green Sea Turtles and then snorkel in Shark's Cove. Along the way, Robert answered any questions we had and shared his vast knowledge of the island. He was also well stocked with snacks, drinks, and gear to make the day absolutely perfect. Later on in the week, we reached out to Robert to get tips on where to see more stuff and he was happy to help point us in the right direction. WOW!!! My family of 11 and our 19 month old baby went on a 1 day Oahu island tour with Robert and Seratani. At the end of the day my wife and I looked at each other and confirmed that we are moving here. If you are having any doubt about doing this tour don't even hesitate for a second. From the moment you meet Robert you will feel like he is part of your family. This tour allows people from all ages, skills and abilities, (my mom is 76 and has trouble walking) to enjoy every activity. If you are an extreme athlete and think there are no challenges to the tour, Robert is an experienced base jumper and has hiked the stairway to heaven over 30 times. You will be challenged if that is what you are looking for. I can't think of a better way to see the island, from the best beaches, waterfalls, ancient structures, rock jumps, etc. Not only is this the best tour on the island, I can promise you that it will be one of the best days of your life! I decided to book a shark-cage and dolphin/sea turtle/sea cave adventure with Robert based on his stellar TripAdvisor reviews. Loved his site; the videos and the descriptions all spoke to me. I emailed him with questions about his offerings and he got back to me very quickly with detailed explanations of timing, what to expect, and what he offered. Communication with Robert was very smooth and he responded quickly, which I appreciated. Going adventuring with Robert was a blast -- he knew a lot about the islands' history and had good relationships with all of his vendors. He was generous with all his camera gear and made a point to take a ton of pictures of me and my husband both in and out of the water. He also packed a ton of snacks and drinks for us and offered us a variety of food & beverage choices throughout the day. We had the most amazing time with Godspeed Adventures. Robert and Sitarani are some of the best people you could meet. We have always stayed in a house in Kauai, because of the laid back nature of the island. We changed it up and booked a resort in Oahu this time. We were really concerned that we would miss out on the culture and daily living on the island being on a resort. Robert and Sitarani took us out to swim with dolphins and sea turtles. We got to experience what it is like to live as a Hawaiian in a non-commercialized way. It is what we love! We experienced the mermaid caves and even a bat cave. We made some of the best memories with hen and our family. They took us to a great sandwich shop for lunch. It was wonderful! At the end I almost got teared up. After spending he day with them, it felt like we have known them forever. They also take great videos and pics of the whole day and share them with you. Oahu has more than Instagramable photos. It's an island to be experienced. We chartered Godspeed Adventures the second to our last day in Oahu. Regretfully, we wish we had found them sooner. Note, we lived there for a month and have done all the touristy things. Whether you are an adrenaline-seeking junkie like my husband or like a little less excitement, Robert at Godspeed, tailored the adventures to fit our family of four's varying comfort levels. We kayaked, cliff jumped, found Hawaiian monk seals and green sea turtles along the way. explored underwater caves and some narly lava caves. Robert spent the entire day taxiing us Oahu's best-hidden secrets and beauties. He has a rich knowledge of the island and knows how to traverse it, ensuring our fun and safety. Bonus! He captured every moment for us on camera! Best way to cap our Hawaii vacation! There are so many parts of this island left to explore - we are definitely returning and will hit them up when we do. We cannot put in words how much we loved our tour with Robert and Dan, they both were intentional about making sure we got the most from our days with them. We also had Robert and his wife go with us to a Luau per their recommendation and again it was amazing. Our trip to Hawaii would not have been the same without the time we spent with them. Robert and his wife even met us on our last day to say good-bye. He also takes amazing pictures and videos and gives them all to you, which is worth the money all by itself. I do not write many reviews but for them I wanted to make sure people know this is worth it and more, I highly recommend taking the time to see Hawaii with Robert, he knows the islands better than anybody else and we were able to go places that most tourists do not see. Out of all the things about Hawaii, our kids are still talking about the time we spent with Robert and Dan!
