The crew took us out on a small glass bottom boat and once we got moving it felt like we were heading straight into our own ocean show. The weather was spot on with bright sun, calm water, and a comfortable breeze that made the whole ride easy and really enjoyable. Before we left, the captain and his assistant very politely warned us that we might not see whales because it is still the early part of the season. They gave us the choice to go anyway, and thank goodness we did because these whales clearly had no interest in hiding. We saw several of them breach like they were trying to win style points, splash around like they were in a water park, and show off just enough to make every single person on the boat start cheering. Ian and Kai were our guides and both deserve a medal for top tier ocean adventure hosting. They explained what to watch for, gave some fun knowledge about the island, tossed in whale facts that made us feel like instant marine biologists, and most importantly they actually found the whales. They kept the whole thing fun, relaxed, and full of moments that made this our first Hawaiian whale watching cruise and one we will never forget. I would absolutely do this tour again. Highly recommend it to anyone staying in Ko Olina. The short walking distance to Aulani is the cherry on top.

We started at 6am and the morning was a tranquil visit to all the animals in the ocean. Our guides were Connor and Bethany, and they are knowledgeable naturalists and wonderful guides who took good care of us inside and outside of the water. Captain Kim knew we were birders and wanted to take photos of the shearwaters, boobys, and albatrosses and she always positioned the boat while giving us the best and most stable view for photography, while maintaining a respectful distance to the animals to avoid stressing them. We went out to Ka'ena point and had a great view of the Laysan albatross colony. There is truly nothing like having an albatross fly overhead. Along the way, we saw spotted dolphins actively feeding and playing, and also saw spinner dolphins! Seeing the monk seal lounging on the beach was a bonus. The wedge tail shearwaters had just returned so they were busy on the water. We also found masked boobys and brown booby feeding. We also saw turtles at their cleaning station! Connor and Bethany were knowledgeable about the landscape and the ecology and shared wonderful information. They are genuinely the nicest people! Highly recommended. The boat is comfortable and we were taking care of by the team (beverages, snacks, fruits, pastries). Thank you!

I like to find an adventurous thing to do for each decade of my birthday. In my 20's it was…read moreskydiving, and my 30's, it's shark diving. I had such a fun experience with Ocean Outfitters! We lucked out with perfect wind, water, and sky conditions, which made the whole trip incredible. The ride out was 10-15 min? Getting into the water was easy. Water was great! Though there weren't many, we did manage to dive next to a Galapagos shark, a jellyfish, turtle, and eagle ray (this guy was in port tho). Lilly and the entire team were so helpful and accommodating the whole time. They were fantastic about answering all of our questions and really made the process of getting in and out of the boat less stressful. I will say: you will need to have decent strength to hoist yourself out of the water from a small solo step on the boat (they help but keep in mind for my fellow limited bodied folks). On windier conditions, you will have to be a decent swimmer, too. So those not familiar with the ocean, practice at like Waikiki or hanauma bay first. We had someone swallow water on our boat and we had calmer conditions, too. I honestly wish we could have been in the water for longer, but I'm just looking at it as a great excuse to book another trip and head out again! My favorite part was actually the ride back in: the crew picked up some speed and took some fun turns, which I really enjoyed. Everything was set up to be convenient, too. They provided all the snorkel gear, including flippers and masks, and there is a cubby under the seat to keep your items safe, dry, and out of the way. Parking is readily available, so you don't have to worry about that. Just a heads up on the media side of things: they do offer professional photo packages, which run about $80 to $100. You are allowed to bring your own GoPro, but they are pretty specific about which models you can bring due to concerns about radio wave interference, so it's worth double-checking with them beforehand. Overall, it was a fantastic day out on the water with a good crew.

She was 4 feet from shore and when she went in with her bright neon bathing suit (for safety visibility reasons) SHE DISAPPEARED - that's how murky the water is. I was so grossed out when I tried to wade into the water we immediately left.

Locals know to give them plenty of space. For the adventurous tourist who may find this beach, make sure to keep a clear distance if you encounter one. They like swimming in the small surf and dozing on the sand.

Lots of dive shops and instructors use E-Beach as part of their scuba training. It gets busy and crowded with a mix of beach goers, snorkelers, swimmers, free divers, and scuba divers. E-Beach has a great mix of big critters and macro creatures. Hawaiian Monk Seals, Manta Rays, Honus, and Dolphins mixed with nudibranches, sea slugs, and mantis shrimps! Repeat and recommend!

They are helpful and friendly! There is also a place where they serve coffee and food. Affordability wise, considering the variety of amenities they have including pickleball tournaments and the option for family plans, you get a lot of value much more than you would get with a typical gym membership. We pay roughly $100 a month for a small family and so that's a great value in my opinion!

Based on her enthusiastic recommendation, we decided to embark on the adventure ourselves--and she was absolutely right in her assessment. The boat itself was remarkable, offering a sense of awe from the moment we boarded. The staff members, including Massa, the captain, and Miranda, our hostess, contributed greatly to the experience. Their warm hospitality and professionalism allowed us to truly feel the aloha spirit throughout the journey. During the excursion, I experienced a brief moment of illness and was unable to enjoy the beautifully prepared meal. Miranda showed genuine concern, checking on me regularly and thoughtfully packaging the meal so I could enjoy it later. Her kindness made a lasting impression. One of the highlights of the trip was when Massa located a sperm whale and her calf, providing an unforgettable sight for my daughters. Five-Star Experience with Mana Cruise! Our afternoon with Mana Cruise on their beautiful catamaran was absolutely incredible! Captain Mark and First Mate Kyle went above and beyond to create a customized experience for our family of six, combining both fishing and snorkeling into a perfect four-hour adventure. From the moment we stepped on board, we were impressed by the pristine condition of the boat and the high-quality fishing equipment. Captain Mark and Kyle were not only professional but also friendly, knowledgeable, and extremely accommodating. They made sure that everyone--from our three teenagers to our toddler--had an amazing time. We saw some incredible marine life, caught a few awesome fish (catch and release), and had a blast snorkeling in crystal-clear waters. One of the highlights was Captain Mark crafting a special fishing pole just for our two-year-old, ensuring that even the youngest member of our group got to experience the thrill of fishing! The captain and first mate were on point with the safety and they made sure we had everything we needed. We got to see turtles and spinner dolphins and snorkel in beautiful waters. After swimming they provide you with warm shower and serve food and beverages. The boat is super clean and comfortable. The boat is beautiful. Could not have asked for a better captain, Daniel, or first mate, Emanuelle. We signed up for a snorkeling tour and unfortunately the seas were not cooperating, but we still had a great time. We saw whales, turtles and Daniel says a shark but my family could not confirm or deny. I have already recommended it to a friend who will be in Oahu in October. Every step from booking to sailing was clear, concise, and time-efficient. BEFORE THE SAIL: About a week prior to our trip from mainland to Oahu, I contacted Kiah to schedule a sailing excursion. Communication via phone, text, and email made the process easy and time-efficient. She was prompt in responding and the reservation was set quickly. With the busy-ness of traveling, I appreciated the reminder texts and emails! DAY OF: We arrived at Kewalo Basin Harbor,Pier C (at the end of the parking area) and called Sail Honu as instructed. We entered through the gate, walked to the end of the pier, and met our friendly sailing crew of 2: Kiah and Natalie. *It was a special treat to see a honu (turtle) floating in the water nearby! After some brief instructions, we left the dock for our 2-hour sail. Once anchored at sea, you can snorkel (equipment provided), sit in the ocean in a floating chair (tethered to the boat), or relax on the boat netting. *Natalie was out in the water and found a big starfish! Both Kiah and Natalie are the BEST! They are friendly, knowledgable, and very accommodating. We were in good hands with them in charge of the sail. HIGHLY RECOMMEND SAIL HONU!!!

She is a phenomenal captain and her first mate (and crew, per all of Sail Honu reviews on Google and here on Yelp) are top notch, have high EQ, and actually care about the guest experience, the coral reef, honu, sea life, teaching, and more. They work hard to understand weather patterns so you aren't out on the water ending up in a predicament. Anything can happen, of course, but if it can knowingly be prevented for your protection, they will ensure safety! Outside of the technical aspect, SO MUCH FUN! These ladies have amazing senses of humor, great taste in music, and treat you well by ensuring you have everything you need. It's BYOB and they will serve what you bring, and ask if you need refills throughout the time together. We had four in our group and expected to have a great time, but it really was the best time...better than anticipated because of Kiah and Malia. Everything for parking, directions, rules, what to bring, wear, etc., is sent in advance, along with reminder texts and emails. I typically use rideshare, so that too was easy to provide to the driver. I have booked other catamaran tours here on Oahu... this is my go-to from now on!!!

Luckily, we came on a day where it was about half the normal capacity so we had room to spread out on the ship. The staff gave a very entertaining intro and safety brief. First stop was the sandbar. They provide his struggles and beach volleyball. We opted to just snorkel around the sandbar. Such a cool feeling to be out in the middle of the ocean and standing with water only as high as your knees. After spending time there, we started our way to a coral reef, but on the way we got to see a bunch of green sea turtles swimming next to us. What a cool opportunity! Probably my favorite part was the coral reef that we visited next. The water was so clear and blue and there were so many tropical fish swimming around the reef. I even captured a sighting of a reef tip shark on my underwater camera. Don't worry, they are harmless. Captain Maka was an amazing host. He was so patient with my kid and took time to show him the ropes and let him hang out with him on the bridge as he was navigating to each spot. The crew makes lunch. They literally barbecue hamburgers on the ship as you are out having fun snorkeling. And by the time you get back on board, the food is all cooked and you get to enjoy an amazingly delicious lunch on the ship as it made it its way to the next spot. Can't say enough about this excursion. The crew makes it so amazing. We will definitely come back and do this tour again as it was so much fun.

The yacht was so pretty and the Captain and crew were exceptionally thoughtful and kind and had our safety and comfort foremost on their mind. They had catering options for us but also allowed us to bring our own beverages which was convenient since my girlfriends like different things. At the end of our sunset cruise we got the added bonus of watching the weekly fireworks show which was literally right above our heads where the yacht docks in the harbor. Such a great experience and can't wait to take my family!

I was assured in the cancellation notice that I would receive a full refund, but those promises have not been kept. Despite multiple efforts, I still have not received my money back. It has been 37 days and counting. What is most frustrating isn't even the cancellation--things happen. It's the complete lack of accountability afterward. Multiple attempts to contact the business have been made. Emails have not been responded to and three voicemails have been left with no follow-up. I've even attempted contacted via their Instagram direct messages; no response has been given. Meanwhile they go about posting their luxury experience 'reels'. Failing to issue a refund is unacceptable and has left me questioning whether this business stands behind its commitments at all. Customers should not have to chase a business for money they are rightfully owed. Until this issue is resolved, I cannot recommend this business to anyone. Based on my experience, be prepared for poor communication, broken promises, and the possibility of having to fight to get your refund.

Price probably was more on…read morethe high-end compared to bigger-sized group or different time slot, but quite worth the tag. All the staffs were so attentive, welcoming, and knowledgeable. It was quite confusing to find the meetup point at the beginning, but asking the hotel staff did help us getting there. We went on the high-tide day so needed to walk a bit from the usual boarding area. Probably helpful to remind people wearing slippers as you'd need to take shoes off. They did provide proper and plenty storage spaces for your footwear on the boat (appreciated!). Drinks were pretty much bottomless and they had their very own Mai Tai so you could really enjoy the 'complete Hawaiian package'! The only problem with high tide day, it meant be prepped to get wet and going on and off the boat would be quite tricky as you needed to manage timing to avoid the tide from getting you soaking wet. I was unfortunately not the pro and literally got half-bottom wet, getting off the boat LOL. Paid off by the gorgeous sunset view!!
