MANA sunset cruise from Ko Olina - the absolute highlight of our trip!!! We are no strangers to Catamaran excursions - trips in the British Virgin Islands, Greece, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. By far, Captain Travis and First Mate Taylor were exceptional, leaving no detail to chance. We were warmly greeted with a drink and were given a very thorough safety briefing. Both were meticulous in their duties to their craft as well as to their guests. The catamaran was immaculate, an outstanding demonstration of the care and maintenance it receives - impressive for a 2008 Cat. Thanks MANA and crews for your care and concern. We had only 5 of us aboard ( they allow a maximum of only 6) which really enhanced the experience. As we got underway drinks were served and then came what I thought was going to be a sampling of local snacks. No, it was a full dinner made by Taylor that was some of the freshest, best food we have had on the Island, followed by a dessert second to none. The other guests dietary restrictions were taken into consideration and we sailed (and for a portion of the trip we were under full sail & not motoring) around with soft Hawaiian reggae playing. The two hours flew by.... We were regaled with stories of the Islands and some very interesting facts. Sure there are less expensive, far more crowded sunset tours... but NOTHING compares to this one. It was worth every cent. When we return we will have already booked this trip before we board our again! Do yourself a favor, splurge on a really personal Hawaiian experience and book this trip. You will be richly rewarded & have memories for years to come! There may be no traffic jams on the extra mile... but you will find on this excursion, Captain Travis & First Mate Taylor are on the extra mile & demonstrate what the extra mile should look like! A very important note - we recommend if you are coming from the Waikīkī area that you plan on leaving early and planning a light lunch at Ko Olina - the Monkeypod, or one of the restaurants in the hotels. The traffic leaving Waikiki in the afternoon is horrible in the afternoon and could take several hours to navigate to Ko Olina. read more

Wow!!!! What an amazing experience! Captain Travis and Andie treated us to an amazing sunset cruise. It has been the highlight of our trip. We were able to see giant turtles and flying fish, they kept great drinks coming and treated us to a delicious dinner. We had our 7 year old daughter and 4 adults, and they were sure to treat her with thoughtfulness - her dinner was catered to her as well as a selection of juices and chips. We had the most amazing time on the Captain's Waikiki Sunset tasting cruise with Captain Garret and first made Lindsey. We left on this massive, luxurious yacht that could have easily accommodated 20 with just 6 people-their maximum charter. We cruised along the coast toward diamond head then turned around and enjoyed some fancy appetizer food. Not really enough to call dinner unless you are a very light eater. There's also open bar with beer wine and Mai tais of course. It was great being out on the water in such an intimate setting. The 200 people on the neighboring barge cruise eyed us with envy, wondering perhaps if we were Hollywood royalty. Such a fantastic experience, wish it could go on for longer. It was over in a snap. The Ritz-Carlton and The Four Seasons recommended Mana Cruises to us, and we couldn't have been more thrilled to experience their beautiful yacht. We had booked a private charter, but unfortunately, we received a call from Ella (who is absolutely amazing). She informed us that they were waiting on a part to be replaced on the boat. Ella went above and beyond, working with other yacht companies to accommodate us and ensure I still had a yacht for my birthday. She even negotiated with other companies to secure a fair price for us. We originally chose Mana because of their competitive prices in Honolulu, and despite the situation, Ella managed to find us a beautiful yacht. She even arranged for a photographer to come along. To our surprise, we later learned that the photographer was actually the owner of Mana Cruises, who personally apologized to us for not being able to get on his boat. He also recommended we try a nearby restaurant for lunch called Han no Daidokoro, which was amazing--a solid 10/10. It's a Japanese BBQ spot, and reservations are a must since it's super popular. Next time we're in Waikiki, we'll definitely be choosing Mana Cruises! Their customer service is top-tier, and the owner takes phenomenal photos! read more

We did a chartered cruise while staying in Ko'olina many years ago, and this recent experience with MANA cruises was even better! The boat is beautiful and is stocked with beer, wine, champagne, soda, juices, water... We went out to the electric company where the water is warm and attracts a lot of fish. The sail out and back was pleasant with sun and cool breezes. Probably the BEST part of the cruise was the service. Captain Mateo and first mate Miranda treated us like we were royalty. They were attentive, pleasant, and made drinks for us the whole time. The cruise takes a maximum of six passengers (I think), so it's great for a small group/family. This is one of the best experiences we have ever had on our trips to the island! We booked a trip with Capt Travis and Kavika (sorry if spelled that wrong) . First class service for sure! We had our own guide for snorkeling, run of the boat without other customers, good drinks and excellent conversation. We loved it so much that within minutes of walking onto the dock we booked again for the only open slot the next day! The second trip we had Capt Austin and Marco. Again absolutely perfect service! Both of them were very engaging and accommodating with excellent communication. Both trips we saw dolphins and turtles. Both snorkel trips we watched turtles rise for air. In the second trip dolphins even swam next to our group of four. If you and your family or group want to do a snorkel trip, THIS IS THE WAY TO GO! After years of paying to get my family on similar sized boats with much larger groups of other customers, I will be booking with Mana instead! As far as price point goes, if you have 5 or more people on the trip the cost is nearly the same as booking with the cattle car boats and yet you get first class service. From start to finish the team we had did amazing! They were so welcoming and friendly that it felt like I've known them my whole life. I got sea sick (no fault to the cruise but I have a sensitive stomach), every single one of the crew members checked on me and offered ginger ale, ginger candies, and even aromatherapy. Our comfort was their top priority- ensuring we were safe, staying hydrated (with cocktails), and well fed. We appreciated that we were able to bring on board our own food, snacks and drinks. Rented a private charter(snorkel plus sunset) as a splurge for my wife's birthday and mana cruises blew us away in every way possible. Right from the moment we arrived at the dock captain daniel and Marco made us feel special and taken care of in every way possible. We had 2 elder people(one with some mobility issues) and a 5 year old child. Marco and Daniel ensured they all had a great time by helping them when moving around the boat. A special call out to captain Daniel who managed to convince our 5 year old to snorkel(her first time). He was amazing with my daughter and made her feel so comfortable in the water. Marco was a great host and also took us snorkeling by towing us to the good spots. I could go on and on but I have been on a few cruises at Hawaii and elsewhere but this was my best experience yet. The boat was amazing, the staff (Austin and Masa) were super helpful and engaging and truly made sure we had a great time. It was our kids' first time snorkeling (10 and 13 y/o) and they helped make sure they felt comfortable and safe.
