The associates at this auto shop are just plain greedy. I go in to have pricing on a particular issue and their go-to answer is always "$135 diagnosis fee." LIARS, RUDE, CLASSLESS...THEY PREY ON THE WEAK! I went to Waynes Auto today to get my car tuned up and a TPMS sensor addded. I went there on a recomenation from a friend who has a friend that works there. After a nice DETAILED conversation on the phone of what I needed I got a quote that wasn't the cheapest but close enough and they told me 2 hours. We had agreed to a Tune-Up, State Inspection and to have a TPMS sensor installed and calibrated to make the light on the dashboard disappear. So i got to the place and dropped my car off, went to grab a bite and came back a little over an hour later. Then I got to meet Trish... The woman should be selling cars! She comes out and tells me, its now going to cost another 47 bucks to calibrate the sensor (1/2 hour labor) . I asked her why she didnt tell me that over the phone and she said that it was because she made a mistake. Umm, Mistake? They are "Honda Experts" right? I don't believe for one second that she didnt already have that add on planned. Then, While I was there reading Yelp of all things, I saw comments about scare tactics and car not being road safe. Wouldn't you know the college aged girl received some bad news. The car she brought in was over 2200.00 away from being road ready. I promise you the following ensued shortly after. I was waiting for my car patiently when i heard them tell this girl the news... She looked at me and I said.." yep, I got burnt too." The woman at the front desk then went to tell Trish! LOL. So Trish marched out like she was some authority figure and started berading me for being "rude' She had the girl go to the garage so that I wouldnt say anything else. The girl was saying how she just bought the car and had someone look at etc. They kept insisting the car was terrible condition. The girl also said the car has just gotten inspected. All the while Im reading Yelp to see if anyone else had my experience. So Trish tells me to stop talking and sit down! ME THE CUSTOMER! So once she realized I wasnt sitting down or staying quiet. She decided she wouldnt be inspecting my car and they also didnt even install the sensor! They weren't even going to tell me! You're also supposed t get your car vaccumed and they didnt do that for me either. I ended up going down the street and got my car inspected in 15 minutes tops. I then went to Town Fare Tire to get my TPMS sensor that Waynes also decided not to do when I refused to be taken advantage of.... You know what? The guys at Town Fare apologized for my experience at Waynes Auto! Then they installed my sensor even though I didnt buy it from them and calibrated it for 19.99. Waynes wanted to charge me $62 labor ($15 to install and 47 to calibrate.) All because I wouldnt buy there outrageously marked up part. Moral of the story is they will be nice as long as you keep saying yes to their infinite upsells, but once you say no they show you their true shady colors and turn on the slimy, scare tactic, agressive charm... BTW, This chic Trish was so busy trying to scare me she didnt notice I recorded the whole thing on my I Phone. I have proof. read more

We are from Louisiana, making us new to New England and the winter. We went in to have the windshield wiper pump fixed so our car would be ready for the snow. We ended up paying almost $500 for other repairs they said were extremely important, and when we got our car back, the wiper pump was not even touched. We specifically brought the car in for this and they completely ignored it. Also we had another mechanic price the work they did on our car (parts AND labor) and it was close to $250. The staff at Wayne's is incredibly nice, which leads me to believe they are fully aware of the fact that they could take advantage of us and used kindness to mask that. They also were not cooperative at all when we went in to discuss this issue. We will not be returning. read more

wayne is a sweetheart. i had bumped the front of my car, causing the front bumper to protrude. he looked at it right away, popped it back in, and despite my asking how i could repay him, simply said that i didn't owe him anything, and that i could come by for my next service call. they don't do bodywork, but i imagine the other services might be just as honest and good. read more

What a horrible horrible place. Let me start by saying that I have not been there in 3 years, but due to the fact that they continue to call/email me after I have requested several times to be taken off their list serves, it prompted me back here. I would generally not rate a place so negatively, especially a small business, but truly the worst automotive service ever. I needed my radiator fixed and had to bring it in three times to have it done correctly and even after the third time, it still never ran the same and there have been multiple problems that have occurred since then related to the heating/cooling system. Friendly, thorough service. The staff went out of their way to make sure that I was satisfied. I was offered home made carrot cake while I waited and then, when my car maintenance took longer than expected, was offered a ride to work or the use of their rental car. I found Wayne's service on here and decided to check it out since they had really good reviews. I had a squeling noise in my car and wanted to get it checked out. When I went in, the girls were very friendly and shook my hand. I told her the issue I had and she made an appointment for me the next day. I ended up having lot of things wrong with my car and Michelle explained everything to me and was nice. Since the total cost would be so much, I ended up not getting anything fixed that day and later decided it would be worth more to just buy a new car instead of paying to fix so many issues on a 17 year old car! So even though they didn't fix anything on my car, I still appreciate their courtesy check they did and their welcoming service. I'm always nervous going into car places or mechanics since I'm a girl and I really dont know a lot about cars, but I felt comfortable in this place. I will definitely go back here if I have any issues with my future car and would recommend them to anyone. UPDATE: So I ended up getting a second opinion on my car and it turns out my car is not as dangerous as they said. They were right about the tires but thats it. When I got it checked again somewhere else, they said everything was fine besides a few minor things. While I'm sure Wayne's is a good place to get your car fixed, I'm kind of glad I didnt end up paying for something that didnt need to be fixed at all. read more

The individuals at Wayne's Service Plus are genuinely kind and trustworthy. I bought a used car recently and the pressure in the brakes went out a week later. I took it to Wayne's, they assured me they would look at it and get back to me in a few hours and even gave me a ride to where I needed to be in the meantime. Unfortunately, they discovered that not only the brake lines were completely rotten, but that the car I just bought had a laundry list of major problems and was beyond repair. This could have been devastating, but Trisha walked me through how to handle the situation. She literally told me exactly what to say in order to pressure the previous owner to give me my money back and also had a back up plan of filing a complaint with the DMV if I didn't get my money back. Lo and behold, my money was returned pain free thanks to Trisha and the folks at Wayne's. I can't thank them enough. They wouldn't even let me pay for the inspection even though I asked to several times. It can be such a dog eat dog world that I'm blown away by how much they've gone out of their way to help me without asking for anything in return. I had the misfortune of having a dead battery but I had the great fortune of finding this gem. Everyone was SO nice. Heck, the owner came all the way to North Attleboro to pick me up! They did a great job explaining everything to me, letting me know what was most important to take care of and what could wait. I didn't feel any pressure to have additional work done. just a follow up on the work that I paid for at this so called mechanic.. it turns out that ALL the work these clowns did on my Acura, had to be redone by a competent mechanic. i.e. oil leak, the belt tensioner, the other work they did ...ALL DONE WRONG, for Christ sakes they didn't even tighten the bolts correctly STAY AWAY!!! read more

It is with a very heavy heart that I write this review--for years I serviced 3 Honda Civics with Wayne's Service Plus, I've recommended him to others...but today's experience was simply awful. I called 3 weeks ago to make an appoint for a valve adjustment I was quoted an estimate of $160+ tax, which seemed very reasonable. I dropped the car off at 8:30a; by 2p I hadn't heard anything so I called and was told they just completed the visual inspection...she listed off a few things, but said she would prepare an estimate. When I ever went in and received the estimate I nearly fell over! The car was just inspected a week earlier and passed the inspection with flying colors, the mechanic recommended services that were either recently performed or unneeded. Claiming belts were worn and then when we look under the hood and feel the belts, there's no sign of "dry rot"; in addition to over $3000 worth of other "recommendations"...granted, a couple of the suggestions were warranted, but most were simply a scare tactic and I expected better from Wayne's. Maybe it was the way that the "recommendations" were presented? Perhaps, if it was prefaced with many of the "recommendations" are based on the age of the part, not necessarily the condition...maybe I wouldn't have felt like it was a scare tactic and I was being completely BS'ed? Perhaps they should rethink this new tactic--I've read some other reviews where others were very unhappy being given a laundry list of "recommendations". However, the icing on the cake today was that the job came in over $100 higher than what was originally quoted. The only positive thing I can say about my experience today, was that Michelle split the difference with me on her quoting error, but I still paid $50 more than originally quoted. Not to mention, it wasn't explained to me why it took Mike 180 minutes, 2.5 hours for a valve adjustment, when a typical one takes 90 minutes? It seriously makes me wonder if he had difficulty and was the service performed correctly? I guess time will tell? read more

GREAT customer service and perfect mechanical work at a very reasonable price. I went to Wayne's for the first time yesterday to get a pre-purchase inspection. Not only did the mechanics meticulously inspect every part of the car to make sure it was in good condition, but Trish at the front desk then took the time to explain what each of the results meant. She also helped me figure out how much it would cost to repair the damages on the car and how the cost of the car compared to the Kelley blue book value. After the dealer tried to sell me "cheap fixes" to the car, Trish actually confronted him and told him that she wasn't comfortable with him selling me unsafe parts to my vehicle. By the end of the trip, Trish offered to call me a Lyft or Uber home so that I wouldnt feel uncomfortable driving home with the dealer. I immediately went back to Wayne's the next day (today) to get another potential car checked out, and only received the same impeccable service. I will ABSOLUTELY be going to Wayne's for all of my car needs in the future. I have never been to an auto service shop that is so honest, reliable, and that genuinely cares about its customers. After being screwed at other mechanic shops, I decided to shop around and find a new mechanic. Thankfully I stumbled upon Waynes! Not only do they have super friendly staff, but they are so convenient and inexpensive. They offer a AAA discount as well as a student discount, which this time of year any dollar amount helps! They also sent me $25 off any service as a Christmas special. I dropped my car off at night to have my brakes serviced and my car was ready the next day. They even offered to pick me up at work to come get my car, which most places wouldn't even consider. I would highly recommend Waynes and I look forward to bringing them more business! read more

When travelling I took my Civic to Wayne's and had transmission fluid changed. When I next had my transmission fluid changed at a reputable dealer, the dealer charged me LESS than Wayne's, and said that the fluid used (by Wayne's though dealer didn't know who) was not the proper fluid. read more

Worst experience I've ever had with mechanics. These clowns charged me $251 just 2 check for issues with my vehicle. Took it to another mechanic and was told i was ripped off badly. I was surprised to find out they charge more than dealer rates. I went in for brakes and also got a transmission fluid change. When I went to the dealer the next time I needed a transmission fluid change, it was $20 less, and the dealer said that Wayne's most likely did not use the correct Honda transmission fluid. read more

I went to Wayne's and told them I wanted to have my a/c checked. After sitting in their warm waiting area for over an hour one of the employees told me there was a leak that had to be repaired before it could be charged and they would write up an estimate. I was wondering why it took so long just to check the a/c. Turns out, they did a "comprehensive exam" on my car even though I just wanted the a/c fixed. After waiting another 45 minutes for the guy to write up the estimate, they give me a printout for work for the a/c, front ball joints, oil pan gasket, 3 engine belts and a new battery with a total cost of over $2,000.00. My car had not been leaking ANY oil and after leaving their shop all of a sudden I start smelling a burnt oil smell. I believe they thought because of a disability I have, that I didn't know anything about auto repair. I worked at a repair shop for several years and always did most of my own work on my cars. They even wanted to charge almost $50 labor just for installing a battery! Needless to say, I've found a more dependable and HONEST repair shop. read more

I would be cautious at Wayne's Service Plus. They charged me an inordinate amount to replace parts. I didn't ask enough questions when they handed me the bill, I just paid. Later, I found out that they had charged way over what I should have had to pay, even at a Honda dealership. The estimate that they gave me was $600 less than what I was charged. read more

Stay away! I was fooled by the good reviews but I have to say that Wayne's is the worst mechanic I have ever been to in my life. I brought my Truck in for an overheating problem. They said they could fix it in a day. Every day turned into another day and another. I kept asking them to call me whenever the price would change but I heard nothing and had to call them over and over to get any update. 2 and half weeks later they told me to pick up my Truck. When I showed up they told me that my truck was NOT fixed and they had not idea what was wrong with my truck. It was no different than when I dropped it off. They then handed me a bill of near $800.00! I was stunned. I argued for over an hour where they became quite rude. In the end they still got me for $300.00. I brought it to another mechanic who found the issue in a day and had it fixed the next. It cost me $200.00 with parts and labor to FIX my truck. I've been cheated by mechanics before and overcharged for services but at LEAST they FIXED my car. Wayne's is the 1st who managed to cheat me out of money and NOT fix my car. I'm in the wrong business I guess. I'm no mechanic but I guess you don't have to be. According to Wayne's business ethic all you have to do is hold someones car for 2 weeks, NOT fix it then charge them $800! A very novel business approach. read more
