We want to give the biggest THANK YOU and tons of appreciation to Autowizard (Steve and Sparky) for saving over $1000.00 after a reputable dealership in Smithfield told us we needed to have a battery AND ALTERNATOR replaced immediately when we picked it up from them (after they had the truck for 2 months to do a complete frame replacement due to a recall). We went with our instincts since the 2 month long process was not a good experience AT ALL with that company and took it to Autowizard to look at it. After Autowizard took a look, they found that it was a loose connection of a wire to a fuse panel which was the issue, not the alternator at all!!! Just wanted to update a bit based on yet another awesome experience I had there recently. I put a lot of Miles on my car about six hundred a week so it was no surprise that when I went for an oil change Steve Sr. One of the owners and mechanics there told me Id need tires soon. Yeah bald was an understatement. He said I could wait a few more months until it became unsafe. He said call when your ready. Most places you have to wait forever for a car repair and you make an appointment and wait forever. I simply called and Steve said no problem while I was waiting for the tires to get worse he had done some research and found me some tires that were decent in the snow and he said he could do it the very next day ! Made the appointment for nine. Was in and out of there in under an hour. Wow. My tires too btw are awesome. They were reasonably priced and are awesome in the snow. ! They could have easily told me I "needed" pricey tires right away but they didn't. They are so honest it's refreshing. That's one of the reasons I continue to go there. They do not take advantage of their customers who are ignorant about car things. They don't repair things just to make money. It's always fairly busy in there which is a good indication of how fabulous they are. When you send your car in for an oil change, how do you end up getting a call later in the day stating "you have a hole in your piston"!? You have to remove the entire engine cover to even see the pistons on a '99 Hyundai sonata, this guy charges an obnoxious amount of $$ and is generally a fraudster. Of course he offered to take the sonata after he deemed it "going to cost thousands to fix" due to a hole in a piston that should have never even been discovered during an oil change and i'm pretty sure was not there beforehand... read more

This place has been in business over 20 years and it has to be due to the fact that they are ASE certified master technicians that maintain their growing customer base by offering quality service at reasonable prices. They do this without any media ads because word of mouth keeps them very busy. It's a shame that someone's idea of a practical joke is to write a lame review of such an establishment. Found this place when looking for someone local to do my motorcycle inspections, brought the truck in, and was taken care of, cheaply and efficiently.
