When I pulled up, the attention was given in lightning speed. (It was one of the first nice days in weeks, and there was a line that ran out into the street.) "Just the standard wash," I said. (Or whatever the interior/exterior version of their car wash is.) "Well, for $2 more, we can wash your front floor mats," the nice guy said. "Sure," I complied. And, you know what? They really did wash my front floor mats. They just didn't DRY them, at aaaaallll, not even a tad, in any way, shape, or form. Sorta bizarre (with soaking wet floor mats in your car), but things were happening so fast, there was barely time to mention it. What wasn't "so fast," was the service when it was time to pay. There was no one at the register for more than a few minutes. My car was pretty much done before the cashier was there. Just expected a bit "more" for an almost $20 car wash.
