They are always kind, explain everything and are happy to answer any questions you may have. They are always happy to make recommendations, but never, ever make you feel like you're being forced into making repairs. They are honest, work efficiently and have great attention to detail. These guys really make an effort to get to know their customers, too, which is also rare in my experience. I had an issue in early 2016 where my car broke down on the side of the New Jersey turnpike. I was 21, had never had an incident like this away from home, and was just with one of my good friends. We were two young girls stranded in (what felt like) the middle of nowhere. I had it towed to the nearest Firestone, and the guys were great there, but they were having a really difficult time (I mean, they told me I may need to get a tow from NJ back to RI) locating the part that I needed (it was a small bolt that had snapped off). In a panic, I called my local Firestone to ask them for advice. Chic and his team were literal lifesavers on this day. They were able to identify the part number, locate the closest place the guys in NJ could get said part, and were the true reason my car was able to be fixed/driven back to RI. They went above and beyond here and I'll never be able to thank them enough for that. More recently, I had to get four new tires (which I dreaded) around Labor Day, and Mike worked with me to find the right kind of tire for me/a set that was in my price range. He made the experience easy and seamless. I just got my brakes and inspection done yesterday at this location. They were incredibly fast, kept me updated, and called me as soon as it was done. It was a Saturday and they seemed very busy, but it only took a little over two hours - which is incredibly fast to me, because I normally have to wait 3 hours for an oil change at my dealership. Their prices are modest and they always offer great coupons/discounts. I tell everyone I know to go see Chic, Mike, and the rest of these guys. They always go above and beyond and are overall a fantastic team.

I frequented two locations in Warwick. A few years ago I purchased lifetime alignment because I planned to remain a customer. In 2025 over a few different visits my car needed more work than usual and I agreed to many recommendations. In December there was a problem right after repair work, but when I stopped by they asked me to give it more time/miles for the new parts to settle. I let them know I had just driven a fair distance to see family for the holidays but I agreed. Come spring, same issue and when I went back they confirmed what I was noticing and redid the prior repair job as it was still covered under warranty. I thought that was great, and I still do. But when my car was ready I hopped in to find a cracked windshield on the driver's side. Would have been hard to miss, both for me and the person that moved my car from the shop to the lot outside. An opportunity had been missed here, to let me know proactively that something happened. And then a second opportunity was missed when i got out of the car and walked back into the shop to ask what happened. Instead of addressing it, i was told they didn't know anything about my windshield. What a moment, and what a turning point after building trust in a business and returning loyally for so many years. I had my windshield replaced, and it cost some money and some inconvenience, but it was over quickly, and I'll probably forget about it. And I wanted to forget about Firestone, until now, a few months later, when something different came up with my new mechanic, who noted that it's possible the hardware may not have been replaced during a different service I had done in October 2025. At this, I throw my hands up and write my review. Again, the details of this won't matter with time but I'll remember how I was made to feel, and it's not the impression you want to leave with any customer. I arrived at 8:55 AM only to find the doors still locked. At 9:00 they finally opened, and the employee at the front desk informed customers that the technicians were late, so no work could begin yet. The first technician didn't arrive until around 9:15, and nobody working there seemed remotely concerned that he was late for work while customers were already waiting. I left my car and returned later that day when the work was supposedly completed. In the parking lot, I immediately noticed one valve stem was missing a cap. When I went back inside, they handed me a random mismatched cap that barely fit the threads. Shortly after driving away, my tire pressure monitoring system began updating, and one sensor showed "unavailable." I also noticed one tire was losing air. Because I was rushing to an event at my daughter's school, I could not return immediately. The next day I brought the car back. To his credit, the employee at the front desk seemed overwhelmed and understaffed, but he genuinely tried to help. While assisting me outside with a diagnostic tool, another employee--presumably his manager--came outside and reprimanded him in front of me for leaving a customer waiting inside. They argued in front of me and even tried to pull me into the disagreement by asking for my opinion on how the situation should have been handled. Completely unprofessional. They eventually discovered they had forgotten to install a tire pressure sensor in one wheel, and the leaking tire had air escaping around the valve stem. While fixing it, another employee informed me that the leak I found (a separate tire from the one with the sensor issue) was caused by a barcode sticker had been left on the tire during installation, preventing a proper seal, so they had to remount the tire. He seemed amused by this mistake. After already making a second trip and spending hours there, I did not find it funny. When they finally finished what they could, they informed me that "Blake" had apparently taken the sensor programming tool home, so I would need to return again in two days when he was working. On my third visit, things somehow got worse. They informed me they had run out of the adhesive wheel weights needed to rebalance the tires and it would take hours for more to arrive. Sensing my frustration, one employee went into the garage and found some loose weights lying around to use instead. After waiting yet again, I was finally handed my keys and told that Blake still could not program the tire sensor and would call me back once he figured out a solution, but he did not know what the exact issue was because he was "out of the loop". It has now been well over a week, and nobody has called. This entire experience was so absurd that I honestly worry people reading this review won't believe it actually happened, but I assure you every word is true. Beyond the repeated mistakes, what stood out most was the complete lack of pride, professionalism, accountability, or quality control. Nothing was checked before returning the vehicle to me, and every visit uncovered another careless error. The condition of the store itself reflects the same lack of standards and pride. The front area was cluttered with trash, dirty rags, random boxes, and layers of dust and dirt that looked like they hadn't been cleaned in months. It genuinely appears that nobody from corporate Pep Boys has inspected or managed this location in years. This was easily one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had.

I had used the option on their website to determine the size, I put in my license plate and it pulls my car info from the DMV. They are just now getting started 90 minutes after I arrived with my car with the cheapest tires they have in stock that fits - and I have zero info on which tires. 4.5+ hours to get tires. Only tires. And offered 10% discount for the wait. You know what would've been great? A phone charger to use. Some water while I am trapped here. A bathroom that isn't visibly filthy, a hook to hang my bag while I use it, and maybe paper towels to dry my hands. Not sure what happened to the car before me, but they paid and left, then the mechanic ran out alarmed and told the desk to call them on the phone and have them come back NOW. I have been a loyal customer for approximately four years. On the day in question, Nick instructed me to drop my vehicle off at 8:00 a.m. for service. I did exactly that. After receiving no communication for hours, I called around 11:00 a.m. and was informed that my vehicle would not be serviced. The fact that no one contacted me and simply left my vehicle sitting there for hours is completely unacceptable. My time was wasted, and no service was provided despite my willingness to pay for the work. I also find it deeply concerning that personal feelings appeared to play a role in this decision. Business decisions should be based on professionalism, not personal disagreements. I specifically want to address Nuno Aguiar. I purchased a vehicle through him and have spent thousands of dollars repairing and maintaining it since buying the burden of a "car". That experience has been a significant financial burden, and I cannot ignore the role it has played in my loss of confidence in this business. I also want to address Rob, who hung up on me during our conversation. Regardless of any disagreement, hanging up on a long-time customer is unprofessional and disrespectful. The facts are simple: I was told to bring my car in at 8:00 a.m., I complied, I received no communication, I had to call for answers myself, and I was ultimately denied service after waiting for hours. That is not acceptable customer service. Midas has lost a customer who trusted this business, paid for services, and remained loyal for years.
