I went there today to have my ac checked and possibly fill my compressor. the mechanic looked at it and said he is pretty sure it needs to be emptied and filled , he said possibly there could be air in the line.. then the lady that works there took me out to the waiting area and explained how much it was gonna be 312.00... I said ok.. I'm like literally so desperate to get my ac fixed for my kids. Then the lady said she had some news for me and that the technician said he think my compressor is no good. And that it was gonna cost me 1300.00 I said I didn't have that .. and I would bring it back when did... then she charged me 312 fo the recharge... I usually don't complain but come on you couldn't just charge for the Freon? Most places will not charge the whole recharge if it doesn't work.. I honestly feel scammed like they knew it wasn't gonna work. so disappointed I WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN... and you shouldn't either! read more

Customer Service? Very friendly, responsive, knowledgeable. Car service? They fully diagnose your car, send you videos if you're not there or walk you around the car if you are. Loaners? YES! If you agree to repairs, they put you in a courtesy car. The technicians? TOP NOTCH. They say they pay higher to recruit the best techs and it shows. Last but not least...TRUST. This past week I took my car to Primary Care Auto Repair in Warwick. I am heading to FL this month and need my AC recharged and would also like a pre-trip inspection to ensure my car is road-worthy for my long trip. I met with the service advisor, Josh Gebar to review the work I needed done. I have been having AC problems, so I let him know that was a priority. The pre-trip inspection cost was $230. They provided no breakdown on the invoice detailing what was performed or the hourly rate for labor. In addition to the pre-trip inspection cost, they identified several areas which were tested or checked out with a repair cost assigned for each for my approval or rejection. Besides the AC which needed to be recharged, they brought to my attention several other areas including oil leaks, burned our light bulbs, brake lights, wiper blades, and right door lock. Since I have not had any noticeable oil leaks in my driveway and never need to add oil between oil changes, I declined that service repair estimate which was $3,097. I also declined the wiper blades replacement estimate for $66. What made this ordeal so frustrating was that after I dropped off the car, Josh called me seeking my approval for the repair of the laundry list of items they identified that needed attention. Most I declined like the oil leak repair, wiper blades, and right door locking mechanism. When I picked up the car, I realized nothing had been done about repairing or recharging the AC. Josh told me I rejected that service! How absurd can that be? Remember, the main reason I brought the car in was to have the AC repaired because I was going to FL for the winter! Josh did everything in his power to try to prove me wrong, he said "we have all phone calls recorded and you rejected the AC repair" The total invoice was $492, nearly half of which was for the pre-trip inspection and the balance apparently for troubleshooting. There was also a "fees" item listed for $31. No idea what this is for. I also brought in a flyer I received at home which indicated I could receive $25 off my bill, which never happened. At the end of the day, the only actual repair work performed on my car was replacing a front fog light! What is it worth to keep the customer happy? What are the takeaways here? A negative review on Google and Yelp could end up costing you customers. This one, for sure. read more

Absolutely love primary care! They are so thorough and sent me a video of the work that needed to be done and also found other issues that needed to be addressed. You get what you pay for, and although nobody likes paying for car repairs I know my money is well spent when dropping my car at primary care. Brought my car for an oil change. Shortly after engine seized up, was told by another auto place it had no dipstick or cap, meaning Primary Care Auto messed up my oil change. Cost me $7K. Called Primary Care to simply be removed from their mail list as I don't want reminders of their terrible service. Was told it wasn't them as if I didn't know who gave me the oil change that immediately caused engine failure. It's many months later and still getting mailers, they would not even remove me from the mailing list. Take you car literally anywhere else. read more

Little convenience things like a key drop and secure lockers to pick up your vehicle after hours but most importantly the willingness to hear customer concerns and provide quality thoughtful advice. A headlight issue on a family vehicle has unearthed potential shenanigans at a highly "reputable" car dealer. Suffice to say big headache. They did an awesome and quick job fixing my '98 Subaru Forester to make it safe and drivable again. They were extremely thorough in showing what they were going to fix and why, and even sent us a video going through the car. As the cherry on top, when I picked the car up there was an envelope containing the maintenance record along with a cute pen, lollipops, hand sanitizer and an ice scraper. I really appreciate little things like that and it's great to see an auto repair place that goes above and beyond. I have been a customer at RI Tired & Service for a number of years now, bringing in a number of different vehicles over that time. I have seen a tremendous effort of late from their service staff to be courteous, helpful and non-pressuring. As someone who HATES to have to car repairs and issues, I appreciate that they don't talk to me like someone who should know everything about my vehicle - I don't - that's why I am bringing it to you! Over the years we have purchased tires and have had minor and major repairs. Our recent experience is worth sharing - major work was needed and after I agreed to the quoted price, I received a call a day later from Jeff informing me that the work they thought they needed to do was actually slightly different, now that the tech had begun to uncover and open. His call was actually to inform me that the price would be LESS than they quoted, because they did not have to do something they originally thought was needed. As one can imagine, I really appreciated this, and for many reasons. While I certainly was happy to not have to spend more money, I was thankful for their integrity and honesty in a moment that they could have just done the work and charged me the original price. Having car repairs and servicing is never going to be something I look forward to or enjoy. But RI Tire & Service's attitude, approach and ability at least makes it less of a frustrating experience. I used to think this was a great and fair place to go. But, I am not sure what happened to it. I've been this shop about 4 times over the past few years. They were always very upfront. But now they seem to have switched to what I call the "Ransom Method" of car repair. Where they take the car in the shop and only after a 30 minute plus wait, do they give you even an idea of what the price would be. Bear in mind, I was going to get a tire patched, and another replaced. But I was told an assortment of concerns and recommendations. I had been there before for a replacement tire, and was taken to the tire rack to pick a used tire from the rack. This time I was told what would be available. Only to find out later (from their website) I made much cheaper choices from their stock. I will not be going to this shop again, and I recommend you to not go there either. It seems to be a trend that shops start up simple and honest, and then rip into customers to make a few more bucks after they develop an honest reputation. read more

They had me bring the car in the day I called, they sent me videos and quotes that day of what was the issue as well as addressing other problems. When I first went to Primary Care I was a bit apprehensive because I had an older car with a lot of problems. Not only did they fix it to practically brand new they also came in $100 cheaper than the quote they gave me... twice. I have never had that happen. I'm in the area for work and they refused to let me make an appointment for a wheel alignment. Apparently they will only service your car if you live in the area. It's not like this is a service coming to you, you go to them. Not sure what their issue is, but discrimination like that was outlawed 50 years ago. Just had my vehicle's oil change done by these guys after being referred by my coworker and they were great! Jeff was absolutely wonderful and so nice. He helped me set up my appointment and took my payment. They came and picked my car up at my office and returned it rather quickly. They vacuumed my floors, wiped down my dashboard and gave my a complementary air freshener. They did a multi point inspection and identified my shocks were leaking, but I was not pressured into having the work done there at all. I used to have my oil done a Pep Boys until my vehicle's started coming back with issues. While their $19.99 oil change specials were easier on the pocket, I'd rather pay a little more for a better quality service and experience. They have gained a new loyal customer and I will absolutely bring all three of my vehicles there from now on. read more

Waited for two hours for 2 used tires. Had 2 people come in after me, their cars were brought in before mine. Will use a different company next time for sure. Tires were $35 each, but after all the added fees total came out to $110 for 2 tires. In my opinion you can get better service and much less fees elsewhere. read more

Had the opportunity to try out RI Tire & Service this past weekend. Took the car in for an alignment and the manager, Jeff, told me about a hazardous issue with my Intermediate Steering Shaft (that I was partly aware of) and then quoted me a great price to replace it. I've had my car looked at by two mechanics previously who could not figure out what my steering problems were and Jeff diagnosed, located the part, quoted and called me in less than a half hour after I dropped the vehicle off. My steering is now silent and I feel safer about driving my car. Also, RI Tire & Service is one of those shops that actually has PHONE ETIQUETTE. That is something nearly lost from your average car shop. They were a pleasure to deal with and they leave the interior and exterior of the car better than when they found it. Their prices are reasonable. You can't go to a professional shop expecting to get eBay prices on parts. You just can't. They have to coordinate the drop off of those parts so you're also paying for the convenience of not having to pickup your car, get the part, and find another time to drop it off. Simple as that. I've been wasting time trying to coordinate with unreliable "private" mechanics with my own parts for too long. Give RI Tire & Service a try. read more

DO NOT GO HERE!!! I went on the website and it said that they had the tires we needed (2 of them ) . When I went in to ask them to put them on for me, the clerk tells me that he can only sell 4 tires, not 2. He then went in the BACK to ask the BOSS if he could sell me 2 tires and came back out after a lot of whispering and said that he could not help me because he couldnt break up the set! If that is the case, they should explain that on their website so people are not WASTING THEIR TIME!!! I will go back to Sullivan tire for my tires next time even if it is a little more expensive!
