I have been going here for months and while the office procedures and business process are lacking, the cerologists are typically friendly and experienced. Unfortunately, I recently had an appointment, confirmed said appointment, and showed up to the office all to be told my cerologist called out and I could not be seen. I drove all the way there just to have to leave. There was no apology, no call from management, nothing. In fact, I got an automatic txt an hour after they told me I would not be getting my service that said "your appointment was canceled per your request. Please reschedule using this link" which obviously was not true. The lack of communication, business process, and empathy for customers makes this a place I cannot recommend or continue to go to. read more

From the front desk to the esthetician, this location is GREAT! Louis at that front desk is absolutely awesome, super friendly, and always has a smile on his face. Teblez the esthetician is AMAZING, I am so glad that I found her! She has been doing my brows for over six months now and I could not be happier! I decided to try waxing for the first time and read up on how to prepare and what to expect and was apprehensive about the whole thing because yikes! I decided on Waxing the City because of the reviews and because it is close to my home and also because they offer a discount for new customers. Marissa was so patient and professional that the session was way more tolerable than I expected. I thought it was going to be physically painful -- and awkward-- but it wasn't much worse than any of my other spa services and yes I get a few. I am waxing convert and only wish that I'd thought about trying it sooner because the results are wonderful. I haven't heard of this franchise until now, I usually go to European Wax Center, but when I found out randomly that my favorite waxer, Anna, waxes here now, I had to check them out! Anna has been waxing me since I moved to Raleigh--one of the most annoying things about relocating is having to find new hair/skin/waxing people, so I was glad to have met Anna! She LOVES what she does, and takes her time to make sure I leave happy every time. This salon is so clean, and gorgeously decorated. Making an appointment online was SO easy. They send you a couple of text message reminders, emails and they call you, which I thought was excessive, but maybe it's just their way of going above and beyond to make sure you remember your appointment. They have you fill out an intake survey on your first appointment to make sure you're safe to be waxed and are aware of the risks. The Brazilian wax, though pricier than EWC includes a much bigger area. They do a good portion of your inner thigh and stomach strip as well! It makes so much sense to include that! I was also worried about the prices, but they have a student wax pass (buy 3 get 1 free) which makes it really affordable. I was about to purchase the pass, but the receptionist told me that since it was my first time, I get 50% off so I could just buy the student wax pass next time I come in to save more money. YAY for honest customer service! The only negative is that it is SO far, and out in the middle of literally nowhere. I had to take a toll road to get there. I live in the NCSU area, and left at 11:00 for my 11:30 appointment, and still barely made it in time. This makes it really inconvenient, but hopefully they do well enough to open up a location closer to the action in Raleigh! read more

I started going to this location a couple of years ago shortly after it started. Place is very clean but it is unfortunate that they have such a high turnover for cerologists. Some of the cerologists I have tried for Brazilian wax (other than Tatiana, Anna and Bethany - all of whom have now left) have heavy hands and are on the unfriendly side. It started to feel a lot like the European Wax Center where the cerologists are in a hurry to get the waxing done. read more

After getting waxed at the same salon for 10+ years up north, I was very hesitant to find a new location. After reading reviews online I made an appointment at Waxing the City. The booking process is very easy. You simply go on their website, choose the service you would like done, the time you would like the appointment to be and you even have your choice of cerologist ( a term I believe coined by Waxing the City, after googling it myself lol). My appointment was with Audrey, and she did an incredible job on my eyebrows and lip. She took her time and I honestly have the best brows I've ever had! The wax was gentle and she was very knowledgable. The salon is extremely clean as well. The front desk staff greeted me with a smile and helped me check in. It was a seamless, comfortable experience and I will absolutely be returning in the future! read more

I was searching for an Eyebrow wax and stumbled upon WTC. This was my first Brazilian, I usually shaved myself but wanted to try this! You can't beat 1/2 off your first visit and once you get used to other people taking care of those things for you (waxing, nails, facials, massage) you don't really want to go back to doing it yourself. It did feel a tiny bit weird having a stranger so "up close & personal with my lady bits" but I'm not uncomfortable being naked and Audrey was great, she's very professional & made it the least painful as possible. It evidently needs to be done about every month and I think it may become a regular part of my self care/grooming. Yes they do push their products and they smell nice, but if you already have a sugar scrub at home just say no. It would have been helpful to know exactly WHY exfoliating is so necessary though (mainly to prevent ingrown hairs, etc). Everyone considering this type of regimen to read up on it first to prepare, I did this on a whim and researched afterward! It was a positive experience so I highly recommend Audrey & Waxing The City! read more

I had Tatianna for several months which I saw every 3 weeks but she no longer works there which made me very sad because she perfected my eyebrow shape but now I have Anna and she is just as awesome!
