They were…read moreclosed today but still took the time to contact me and make things right. 5/30 - I initially had several positive experiences at this salon. I had been seeing the same tech for a few months, and my first few sets turned out beautifully with no issues. Unfortunately, after a previous appointment, I developed significant swelling, itching, and irritation in one eye within hours of leaving the salon. I contacted the salon and was told it could be an allergic reaction to the adhesive. The symptoms eventually resolved after a few days. Because the issue had cleared up, I decided to give lash extensions another try and returned three weeks later. Unfortunately, I experienced another reaction, and this one was much worse. The same eye became extremely swollen, painful, and irritated shortly after the appointment. I developed discharge and crusting around the extensions, and many of the extensions fell out almost immediately. I want to note that both reactions occurred very shortly after my appointments, before I had washed, wet, or otherwise handled the extensions. Since clients are instructed not to get their lashes wet for 24 hours after application, I do not believe this was related to aftercare or hygiene issues at home. What has been most upsetting is the damage to my natural lashes. As I write this review, I have virtually no natural eyelashes remaining on my right eye. Not only did I lose the extensions I paid for, but I also lost nearly all of my own lashes on that side and am now left looking noticeably uneven while I wait for them to grow back. I understand that allergic reactions can happen and may be outside of the salon's control. However, after spending $130 on my most recent fill appointment and ending up with a swollen eye, severe irritation, and almost no natural lashes remaining on my right eye, I felt it was important to share my experience.

Location and covid measures: very well kept, clean and simple space. It's easy to walk right by it on 16th, so look for the large decal on the window showing the Y'lonn Studio logo. It's kind of difficult to park sometimes (they're doing consturction on both Wabash and State), but there's normally some parking around the corner on Wabash or State. They require you to WEAR A MASK and ring the doorbell when you arrive for your appointment. They take your temperature on arrival, and they also wear masks while performing service and checkin/out. Service: I got classic lash full set, Eroica is a goddess. Her work is amaaaaazing and she is so gentle with the lash application. She is so easy to talk to and is a true professional. Product: the lashes looked amazing, very natural and I even let her decide what would look the best. The lashes were mink and good quality, the glue was non irritating (I've had other adhesives that make my eyes water/itch for weeks after). Lashes stayed on for ~6-7 weeks, even a few left hanging at week 8. I'm bad with getting regular fills so I haven't been back, but definitely will. TLDR: Put on a mask to protect Eroica and protect yourself, but please go and support Y'lonn Lash Studio if you need lashes done!

My repeated stylist was Sana and unknowingly she did not like servicing me because I requested (and provided) my own extra lash extensions. I have had previous experience with other stylists who know how to style the long lengths with the shorter as well, I understand now that, that was not was they were able to do. Still no communication was given until I was put with another stylist and did not like the outcome. Very unhappy! I've had a membership for over a year and could not understand why this happened.

I was worried the lashes would be too curled as I've seen it happen before, but felt very comfortable with her working on me. She was extremely accommodating as I had to reschedule my appointment and very easy to get in touch with through email and answer my questions. The lash lift is beautiful and her studio is very relaxing, I am definitely going back to her again when I need another lift. I highly recommend to anyone who's a little hesitant, as Yanna will make sure you're comfortable and make sure you get the lashes you want!
