Lovely location! Tourists complain when they show up at lunch time and there's a line for hoagies. Best option is always to order ahead and wait without pressuring the staff and crowding the store! This Wawa is currently substandard. I have visited here frequently over the last 5 years but our visit tonight was awful. Both the men and women's restrooms were filthy! I bought a dozen eggs and handled them properly however when I got them home 7 of 12 were stuck to the bottom of the carton despite being intact on top! So someone must have been rough w them.... The counter help was clueless ( which was definitely a change at this location) and didn't offer bags( to a poor customer w about a dozen items and kids. She also didn't give or offer receipts. I was extremely disappointed with the way in which the staff was behaving when I arrived around 9 PM on a Friday night (September 2016). The boys working in the food prep area were throwing food, goofing around and ignoring customers. With food being literally thrown around in the food prep area, my wife and I turned around and left. Not only was the service terrible, but there were questions of food safety and sanitation. I will try again on a later date and hope that these "children" are not working. [2.50 stars] Wawa, a chain of Philadelphia and South Jersey convenience stores, has maintained a near-cult status for their coffee. Some of the most avid (or over-caffeinated) coffee lovers I've ever met have made Wawa locations akin to local crack houses. Personally, I've never found their coffee to be as good as QuikCheck's or even (in a pinch) McDonald's, but tastes-- particularly with something as subjective as coffee-- will always vary. The absence of a Wawa location on my frequently traveled routes, rather than the quality of their coffee, makes my visits infrequent. This past weekend, an unseasonably cold off-peak weekend on Long Beach Island, found me in this Wawa twice. Their location made for fast and convenient stops. I found this location to be abundant with everything that might remotely fall into the category of a convenience store item, and the in-store staff to be generally friendly and focused. Other than for packaged goods, Wawa prices are very reasonable. Saturday's stop was for a hot cup of coffee alone. As my preferences usually direct, I filled-up with the darkest roast and most full-bodied blend available-- or so I thought. Wawa's Dark Roast was a disappointment; woefully over-diluted and (likely as a result) poorly balanced in flavor. It did succeed in being hot, and on that basis, it was drinkable. On Sunday we sought a quick lunch and again arrived at Wawa. They use a comically over-complicated touchscreen system to relay sandwich orders to preparers who are literally two feet in front of you. Repeated up-selling attempts for everything that might possibly be placed in a sandwich made this a far more complicated process than it needed to be. My wife was having difficulty making up her mind, needing less (rather than more) options, and repeated time-out messages politely asked whether we needed more time to enter our two sandwich order. We responded "yes" each time and continued the process. Yet, we eventually encountered a screen which didn't show such politeness, it simply cancelled the order for both sandwiches because apparently some up-sell nonsense didn't receive a fast enough reply. No warning, just a fresh sign-on screen. As a career IT professional I can surely categorize this system as a textbook case of inconsistent and unfriendly user interface. Again, this order traveled all of two feet, while my voiced frustration was likely heard in the parking lot! My sandwich, a chicken salad club, was inexplicably cut on only one side of the toast. The sandwich was abundant and otherwise competently made. Its chicken salad filling combined shredded and cubed chicken breast meat with proper amounts of celery and mayo. A bit of salt and pepper would have improved it, but the sandwich was tasty. I wouldn't go out of my way for either coffee or a sandwich order from Wawa, but its location makes it likely that we'll be returning; not unwillingly. Location and the fact that we were able to score coffee and sandwiches (eventually) during the LBI off-season is probably its most appealing attribute. As an FYI, this is the only LBI store I've encountered that actually charges (ten cents) for a plastic bag. I would have been happier with a paper bag, and realize that municipal ordinance-- rather than Wawa frugality-- direct this policy. Ten cents makes this a matter of principal, as nobody else seems to pass-along the cost to the customer. read more

I recently had a very poor experience at this wawa. I entered my order on the self ordering machine. When I went to pick up my order, it was wrong. There was some type of technical difficulty with the self ordering machines. I kindly explained this to the general manager "Zach". I explained to him that my friend who was with me at the time, has a legitimate photographic memory because she is on the autistic spectrum. He laughed condescendingly and refused to take any responsibility for the situation. He should not be a manager. This wawa is discriminatory towards disabled people !!!! read more

Here on vacation I was relieved to see something familiar. Parking lot is difficult to maneuver around and parking my truck was a headache...I went here 6 times during my 3 day stay at LBI and opted for street parking 5-6 times. Seems like the place can't handle the high volume of business they get. Food, staff, etc. is up to par with wawa standards. I'd return, just plan on rolling your eyes a lot when parking and waiting in the long line. read more

I unfortunately had a very bad experience today at wawa in beach haven that I have been a customer at since opening, as I live on the same street. I ordered a turkey sandwich on rye with tomato, spinach, mustard and red peppers and received turkey on white bread with bacon and cheese. I pretty much paid for what I didn't order. Not bad for a corner convenience store, although the fact that they really don't have anything for babies makes it not that convenient. But they do have lots of overpriced food, staples, paper products, and the like!
