Scone

Love love love! There is so much seating both inside and out and they have SO many coffee flavor options. They also have a board by the register where you can give a gift card which I love. It's nice to see customers/businesses paying it forward. I got the cinnamon scone and it was so fresh and delicious. Cortado was silky smooth and the perfect temperature. One of my new favorite spots on the island!

A must anytime you're down by the beach. Always hits the spot. Always packed yet they get you in and out fast. The muffin was awesome the texture was great and blueberry portions were great. Lovely beach vibes. Always clean.

The line was long on a Sunday morning but went by fast! Coffee and food were delicious. So many drink options! Spacious and plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Good place to bring pups

This place is actually very good. There is so much seating, and they make your order quickly, and everything is delicious. I came in October 2024 and tried two special menu items: the honeysuckle matcha latte (iced) and the sweet potato and sausage bowl (has egg, spinach, roasted peppers, cheese). Both were great! It's quiet in here during the off season but still lively with a flow of people in and out. Service is quick and the employees are nice college kids.

I stopped by here earlier today with my wife and our twins for our morning coffee. We like to try different local coffee shops, especially when traveling and happened to find How you Brewing. Not only was the name fun but it was the highest reviewed coffee shop nearby and so we headed on over. This shop is located right on Long Beach Blvd on LBI. Whenever we got there at around 9 AM on this Sunday morning the place was packed. It only got more busy as we waited for our coffees to be made. The inside of this coffee shop consists of a place where you can buy some of their beans, a pastry case as well as a number of tables. Then they have a bunch of outdoor seating as well which was hopping on the day that we were there. For our coffees on this morning I went with a large coconut latte while my wife went with a nitro cold brew. It took maybe 5 minutes before we had our coffees and were on our way. My coffee here ended up being absolutely delicious! The coconut flavor in it was strong but it tasted real and unlike the fake stuff. My only comment, and it's because I am nitpicking, is that the coconut ended up overshadowing the espresso a bit. While I couldn't taste as much of it as I normally would like, I actually didn't care for once. That's likely because I was able to try my wife's nitro cold brew and thought it was great too. The coffee was rich and smooth with a nice aftertaste as well. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. My wife and I both loved our coffee and I would be interested in trying some of their food as well.

How you Brewin is more than a coffee spot! This once small coffee shop has transformed its Surf City location into a great cafe. I've eaten here for lunch, hung out while doing computer work, grabbed coffee from the speed bar and even had an interview here once! It's so popular there is often a line but it moves quickly. If you're in a rush and not getting much, consider ordering online, using the speed bar (only good for certain drinks no food) or just be patient :). There is a parking lot and a ramp to get up the few stairs to the shop. Seating both indoors and outdoors. Moderately priced. I cannot wait for them to open a location in Pompano Beach, FL!!!! It's going to be great to have this LBI gem in my new hometown.

What's Brewin' in your cup? Ours is Vermont Maple Nut Cold Brew on left and my Hazelnut Almond milk latte on right.

Hubby and I have a great love for coffee. Using Yelp, we found How You Brewin' in Surf City. If you ever want sublime coffee, outstanding service, and be surrounded by a relaxing and exquisite interior, look no further than How You Brewin'. Hubby ordered Vermont Maple Nut Cold Brew while I ordered a Hazelnut Almond milk latte. They will only honor the charge card with a minimum of $10. The cozy cafe offers more than just coffee. They also have tea, soups, salads, even sandwiches amongst the usual pastries. The place is clean, friendly, and serves up one of the best cups of coffee you will ever quaff.

Everything about this coffeehouse, from the space to the drinks, from the food to the vibes, from the name to the employees is exceptional. They have a full coffee and tea menu, homemade baked goods, and plenty of seating (both inside and outside). I ordered an iced latte, but they also have a huge selection of coffee blends available, all lining a bar in carafes. I grabbed a bag of beans for the road. With free wi-fi and the chill space, it's a great spot to do work or just catch up with friends. Plus they're open all year around which is a plus in a beach town like LBI. N.B. minimum $5 for card

I've ordered ground coffee from their website before and really enjoyed it, but today I finally made a trip to their Surf City location. I've followed them on Instagram for a bit and they constantly encourage people to stop in or spend the day working there. Props to whoever does their social, because that's what convinced me to make the trip. A lot about LBI has changed over the years, but this felt like a "locals" spot. I made myself at home, setting up my laptop knowing working there was acceptable. For this reason not only did I order coffee/breakfast, I stayed and ordered lunch before finishing my day. The staff was friendly and pleasant, the coffee selection is great, and the food was delicious. I plan to return again more consistently even though it's a bit of a trip for me. I'd highly recommend stopping at How You Brewin!

This place was popping on a Sunday morning before lunch. Got the banana nut coffee and it tasted just as you would think.

It's super cute,…read morenestled right as you come onto the island, and has a cozy coffee shop with lots of homemade pastries (the homemade Pop-Tarts and cinnamon buns are a must-try!). They also have a small grocery section with organic and higher-end items, fresh salads made in-house, a deli, and even a grill. I came here this morning and ordered a cheesesteak with fries. The portion of fries was huge--honestly enough to feed a family of four. I was glad I had someone to share with, but keep that in mind if you order. The cheesesteak itself was just okay. The bread was good, but overall it lacked flavor. Personally, I wouldn't come back here for a cheesesteak, especially since there's another spot on the island that does them really well for half the price. I also grabbed a cold-pressed juice from the fridge. None of the drinks are marked with prices, so I didn't find out until the register that it was $7. A bit of sticker shock considering you could find something similar at a grocery store for about half that. That said, I'd absolutely come back for their coffee and pastries. They're delicious and feel special. I may just skip the deli/grill next time.
